        개에서 자가 fibrin glue가 골 결손치유에 미치는 영향

        This study was investigated of the bone healing capacity by autologous fibrin glue in experimental bone defect dogs. The autologous fibrin glue manufactured just before the experiment was mixed with the concentrated fibrinogen from whole blood of the experimental dog and bovine thrombin. The experimental group was constituted with seven dogs. The experimental osteotomy was performed 5 mm length in bilateral region of proximal diaphyseal fibulae. The defected regions of experimental group were filled with the autologous fibrin glue by duploject. The experimental regions had been radiographed biweekly for 16 weeks to observe new bone formation and union. Bone alkaline phophatase (BALP) in all groups was evaluated biweekly till the end of the experiment to determine osteoblast activities. New bone formation had been observed in five regions of three dogs at four weeks after the experimental treatment and in two regions of one dog at ten weeks. The other seven regions of the experimental group and control group were not observed new bone formation until the end of the experiment. BALP value in four dogs observed new bone formation was increased to 97.10 IU/L (453.96%) at two weeks after the experimental treatment. The results of this experiment were suggested that the autologous fibrin glue was moderately effective in new bone formation in dogs.

        국제 곡물가격이 연일 급등세를 보이며 세계 곡물시장이 요동치고 있다. 10년 전인 1996년 엘리뇨 현상에 따른 지구촌의 기상이변으로 곡물파동을 겪은 바 있다. 10년 이상 지난 지금까지 일부 최빈국을 제외한 대다수의 국가가 곡물파동의 아픔을 잊고 행복한 시간을 보내지 않았나 하는 생각이 든다. 세계 경제가 미국을 중심으로 민주주의와 자본주의 경제가 주축을 이루며 경제적인 부, 즉 돈만 있으면 언제든지 쌀독에 쌀을 가득 채울 수 있었기 때문에 먹거리의 중요성에 대하여 소홀하며 살아온 것 같다. 그러나, 이제 더 이상 돈만 있다고 원하는 만큼 먹거리를 확보하기란 쉽지 않는 시대가 도래하고 있다. 작년 하반기부터 국제곡물가격은 가히 폭등이라고 할 만큼 큰 폭으로 상승하였는데, 문제는 과거처럼 단순히 기상악화에 따른 작황부진과는 차원이 다르다는 것이다. 지구촌 기상이변에 더불어 세계 경제성장에 따른 소비구조 변화와 이에 따른 수급불균형이 더욱 심화되고 있다는 것이다. 이에 금년도 세계 곡물산업 현황과 가격변동 흐름을 짚어보고 향후 사료원료를 중심으로 곡물수급 전망을 조명하고자 한다.

        용존산소 측정용 센서를 위한 금도금전극

        수질의 부패나 공장내 용수를 사용하는 장치의 부식과 직접 관련이 있는 용존산소의 측정을 위하여 주로 이용되는 고가의 귀금속인 금과 대치할 수 있는 비교적 저렴한 금도금전극으로 용존산소의 환원 한계전류의 측정과 재현성을 검토하였다. 순도 99% 이상의 순금도금전극은 약 -0.5V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂)의 전극전위 부근에서 산소의 환원한계전류가 나타나며 합금도금전극은 -0.5∼-0.6V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂)로 유사하나 순금도금전극이 수소발생에 따른 전류의 영향이 작아 용존산소 측정에 합금도금전극보다 적합하다. 그리고 이들의 재현성이 상당히 좋으며 용존산소의 농도변화에 따른 산소환원반응에 의한 한계전류가 99% 이상의 직선 비례관계가 성립하여 산소전극으로 충분하다. Due to the high cost of precious gold material, relatively lower cost electroplated pure and gold alloy electrodes have been prepared and tested their compatibility and reproducibility by measuring limiting cathodic current of various dissolved oxygen concentration. Pure gold plated electrodes had the limiting cathodic current for dissolved oxygen at -0.5V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂) and gold alloy plated electrodes had it at -0.5∼-0.6V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂); however, the one was suitable than the other for disposable dissolved oxygen sensor, because the alloy deposited electrodes had higher effect on cathodic current for hydrogen evolution reaction. Both type of electrodes had the good reproducibility with respect to variation of dissolved oxygen concentration and the limiting cathodic current for dissolved oxygen was linear function of its various concentrations.

        토끼 동종골이식에서 이식골편의 동결법, 동결건조법, 탈지 후 동결법 처리에 따른 신생골 형성능력 비교

        Bone allograft had been increased the need because autogenous bone graft is associated with donor site morbidity and is restricted in quantity. The bone allograft implants have to prepare properly for increasing osteoinductive ability and decreasing immune responses before providing to graft. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy on new bone formation in bone allografts by treatment of implants. Cortical bone allografts were transplanted to experimental defects on midshaft of diaphyseal fibulae in 15 rabbits, which were divided to 3 experimental groups according to the preparation methods-freezing, freeze-drying, defat-freezing. The grafted regions of fibulae of all groups had been radiographed biweekly for 16 weeks to observe new bone formation and union between implant and recipient bone. Bone Alkaline Phosphatase (BALP) in all groups was evaluated biweekly till the end of the experiment to determine osteoblast activities. Unions between implant and recipient bone were observed at 30% (3 of 10 cases) of freezing, 50% (5 of 10 cases) of freeze-drying and 80% (8 of 10 cases) of defat-freezing. BALP was increased over 100% from before graft at 2 weeks of graft procedures in all union cases of freezing and defat-freezing group, then gradually decreased till 16th week. In non-union cases, there is no significant variation in BALP value. Defat-freezing method for allograft implants might be more effective for osteoinductive efficacy of implants than freezing and freeze-drying method.

        알코올의존 환자의 Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 2 유전자 변이에 따른 음주 후 반응 및 성격특성

        Objectives:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the pathophysiology of alcoholics by investigating the differences in frequency of Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 2(ALDH2) genotypes and ALDH2 alleles between patients with alcohol dependence and controls, and the differences of drinking and personality traits in Korean male alcoholics with ALDH2 genotype variances. Methods:The authors selected 98 patients with alcohol dependence and 53 controls. Self-report questionnaires for acute reponses after alcohol ingestion, the AUI(Alcohol Use Inventory), and the NEO-PI-R(NEO Personality Inventory Revised) were given to all patients with alcohol dependence. ALDH2 genotypes were typed with MboII RFLP(Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) method in 53 controls and 98 patients with alcohol dependence. The authors divided alcoholic patients into two groups according to the presence of variant $ALDH2^2$ allele;normal ALDH2 alcoholics(N=87) and variant ALDH2 alcoholics(N=11). Results:1) The genotypic frequencies of subjects with $ALDH2^{1/1}$ were higher and those with $ALDH2^{1/2}$ and $ALDH2^{2/2}$ were lower in patients than in controls. 2) Alcohol dependence could be found in $ALDH2^{2/2}$ homozygote individuals. 3) Variant ALDH2 alcoholics had more family problems in the AUI than normal ALDH2 alcoholics. 4) Variant ALDH2 alcoholics experienced more flushing and cardiovascular responses after alcohol ingestion than normal ALDH2 alcoholics. 5) Variant ALDH2 alcoholics had less altruistic personality traits in the NEO-PI-R than normal ALDH2 alcoholics. 6) Variant ALDH2 alcoholics tended to have more tolerance to alcohol than normal ALDH2 alcoholics. Conclusion:Variant $ALDH2^2$ allele might play a protective role in the pathogenesis of alcohol dependence and there were several significant differences of drinking and personality traits in Korean male alcoholics with ALDH2 genotype variances.

        Adiponitrile 의 전해합성에 관한 연구

        Nylon 66의 precursor인 Adiponitrile(ADN)의 전해합성에 대한 전극재료, 유화액 제조를 위한 계면활성제 그리고 반응물인 AN의 전기화학적 특성들을 조사하였다. 양극재료로는 내식성과 낮은 산소발생 과전압을 갖는 Dimensional Stable Anode(DSA)가 좋다. 분극특성으로부터 Electrohydrodimerization(EHD) 반응은 초기에는 -1.2∼ -1.3V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂)에서 시작되나 시간이 경과함에 따라 양극과 음극 모두 전위의 변화가 일어나는 것으로 보아 실제로는 약 -7.8V(vs. Hg/Hg₂Cl₂)에서 ADN의 합성반응이 진행되는 것으로 생각된다. 계면활성제로 quaternary ammonium salts(QAS)는 대부분 적합하다. Electrosynthesis of adiponitrile (ADN), a precursor for Nylon 66, was investigated by characterization of the effect of electrode materials, additives, and reactant AN. DSA was used as a anode material, which is well known to the corrosion resitive and has low oxygen overvoltage. Polarization characteristics show that the initial step of EHD reaction occurs at about -1.2∼ -1.3V(vs Hg/Hg₂Cl₂), but the final ADN synthesis reaction appears to occur at about -7.8V(vs Hg/Hg₂Cl₂) looking at the electrode potential change along time. The quaternary ammonium salts were acceptable for the electrosynthesis of ADN.

        자가골 이식에서 이식골편의 처리방법에 따른 골형성능력 비교

        Bone graft had been investigated previously to restore bone defects in orthopedics. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy on new bone formation in bone autografts by treatment of implants. Cortical bone autografts were transplanted to midshaft of diaphyseal fibulae of 9 rabbits which were divided in 3 groups according to the treatment method of implants. Cortical bone implants for graft were treated with 3 different methods; freezing, freeze-drying, defat-freezing. Autografts were achieved by cross-transplantation method to bilateral fibulae of the presented rabbits after implant treatment procedures. The grafted regions of fibulae of all groups had been radiographed biweekly for 16 weeks to observe new bone formation and union between donor and recipient bone in the grafted region. Bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP) in all groups was evaluated biweekly till the end of the experiment to determine osteoblast activities. Unions of the experimental grafted regions were observed at 83% (5 of 6 cases) of freezing, 17% (1 of 6 cases) of freeze-drying and 67% (4 of 6 cases) of defat-freezing autografts, respectively. BALP was increased over 100% after 2 weeks of graft procedures in all union cases (all cases in freezing group and in defat-freezing group, and 1 of 3 in freeze-drying group, respectively), then gradually decreased from 4 th week of graft to 16 th week. In non-union cases, there is no significant variation in BALP value until the end of experiment. It is speculated that defat-freezing method of treatments of implants is more safe to preserve the osteogenic ability in autograft than freeze-drying method.
