We propose an individual identification method using a single-lead electrocardiogram signal. In this paper, lead I ECG is measured from subjects in various physical and psychological states. We performed a noise reduction for lead I signal as a preprocessing stage and this signal is used to acquire the representative beat waveform for individuals by utilizing the ensemble average. From the P-QRS-T waves, features are extracted to identify individuals, 19 using the duration and amplitude information, and 16 from the QRS complex acquired by applying Pan-Tompkins algorithm to the ensemble averaged waveform. To analyze the effect of each feature and to improve efficiency while maintaining the performance, Relief-F algorithm is used to select features from the 35 features extracted. Some or all of these 35 features were used in the support vector machine (SVM) learning and tests. The classification accuracy using the entire feature set was 98.34%. Experimental results show that it is possible to identify a person by features extracted from limb lead I signal only.

Blood pressure is one of the important vital signs for monitoring the medical condition of a patient. Automated NIBP(non-invasive blood pressure) monitoring devices calculate systolic and diastolic blood pressures from the oscillation in cuff pressure caused by a pulsation of an artery. To validate the NIBP devices, we developed a simulator to supply the oscillometric waveforms obtained from human subjects. The simulator provided pressure pulses to device-under-test and device readings were compared to the auscultatory references. Fully automated simulation system including OCR(optical character recognition) were developed and used for NIBP monitoring devices. The validation results using the simulator agreed well with previous clinical validation. More validation studies using the standardized oscillometric waveforms would be required for the replacement of clinical trials to validate a new automated NIBP monitoring device.

약물을 환자에게 장시간 주입할 때 주입량과 속도를 적절히 조절하는 것이 중요하다. 부적절한 약물투여는 환자의 회복에 악영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 인퓨전 점프시스템의 신뢰도 확보는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 수액주사세트에 의존하지 않는 인퓨전 점프 시스템과 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 드롭센서로 포토어레이가 선택되었다. 실험 결과에 따르면 포토어레이가 다른 종류의 센서에 비해 높은 신뢰도를 보였다. 개발된 시스템은 인퓨전 펌프 시스템의 국산화에 기여할 수 있으며 제안한 알고리즘은 다른 유량 제어 시스템에도 이용될 수 있을 것이다. When we inject drug^tuffs to a patient for a long time, it is important to control proper injection amount and flow rate. Since inproper injection amount and a flow rate would cause bad to recove of a patient, the relience of infusion pump system is important. In this research, we've developed an infusion pump system and control algorithm not dependable to Ⅳsets. We chose photo array for drop sensors. According to the experiments, the photo array showed the higher reliance than any other the three types of sensors. The developed systems could be the foundation of beginning home production of infusion pump system and available for flow rate control systems.
