In CNC machining, a 3D(3-dimension) linear segment and a 2D(2-dimension) circular arc are general forms given by CAD/CAM system. Generally, the 2D circular arc machining is processed using dividing into some linear segments. A 3D circular arc also don't exist in the standard form of NC data. This paper present a algorithm and method for real-time machining of a circular arc(not only the 2D one, but also the 3D one). The 3D circular arc machining is based on the 2D circular arc machining. It only needs making a new coordinate system, converting given 3D points(a start point, a end point, and a center point of a 3D circular arc) into points of the new coordinate system, and processing a inverse transformation about a interpolated point. The proposed algorithm was implemented and simulated on PC system. It was confirmed to give a good result.

In this paper, a new parametric curve interpolator is proposed based on a 3D(3-dimensional) NURBS curve. A free curve is generally divided into small linear segments or circular arcs in CNC machining. The method has caused to a command error, the limitation of machining speed, and the irregular machining surface. The proposed real-time 3D NURBS interpolator continuously generates a linear segment within the range of allowable acceleration/deceleration in the motion controller. Therefore, the algorithm calculates the curvature and the remained distance of a command curve for the smoothing machining. It is expected to attaining high speed and high precision machining in CNC Machine Tool.

This paper is about a co-simulation analysis of an excavator. The excavator is modeled as a three sub systems; engine, hydraulic, and structural system. Since the simulation model for each system is generated for specific purposes with different softwares, a proper methodology is needed to connect individual system models and analyse the integrated model. In this paper, the co-simulation strategy with an application example is introduced in detail.

In most case, construction equipment is working under severe conditions which in the actual working conditions. So, definition of actual load is very important for designers and engineers of construction equipment company. For this reason, definition of working load is dependent on the actual test. But it takes a lot of times and money, and it is impossible until the completion of Proto Model. In this paper, it is introduced that wheel loader’s simulation model for measuring stress of front system. The simulation model consists of dynamic model and hydraulic model using ADAMS and MATLAB. ADAMS model of wheel loader front is modeled of flexible body for determine the stress. Finally, by comparing the experiment and analysis result, simulation model is verified.
고속가공을 위한 2단계 모션 제어 루프와 선독 알고리즘의 구현

This paper describes a look ahead algorithm of PC- NC(personal computer numerical control). The algorithm is based on acceleration/deceleration before interpolation which doesn't include a command error and determines a feedrate value at the end point of each block(or start point of each block). The algorithm is represented as following; 1) calculating two maximum arrival feedrates (F_1, F_2) by an acceleration value, a command feedrate, and the distance of a NC block, 2) get-ting a tangent feedrate (F_3) of the adjacent blocks, 3) choosing a minimum value among these three feedrates, and 4) set-ting the value to a feedrate of a start point of the next block(or a end point of the previous block). The proposed look ahead algorithm was implemented and tested by using a commercial RTOS(real time operation sys-tern) on the MS-Windows NT 4.0 in a PC platform. For interfacing to a machine, a counter board, a DAC board and a DIO board were used. The result of the algorithm increased a machining precision and a machining speed in many short blocks.

A noncircular cutting such as a piston cutting has depended on the copy-machining because of its complex shape. But the copy-machining needs a master model and brings about a low quality of the piston caused by being worn out of the master model. And the lower cutting speed reduces the productivity. In this paper, for solving these problems, a specialized software system and its subsequent procedure are presented. The shape of a piston consists of an oval, an offset, recesses, and eccentricities. The paper describes these shapes as a consistent equation that is a function of the rotational angle and the position of longitudinal direction(Z-axis). It is simple to define the characteristic geometry of a piston and to generate a tool path for CNC machining. This paper proposes the a proper structure of a 4-axes CNC(Computerized Numerical Control) lathe for machining the piston. As well as X-axis and Z-axis, are attached to the machine a C-axis for rotation and a Y-axis for higher speedy prismatic motion parallel to X-axis.
