Purpose : The purpose of this case report was to examine the effects of intergrative intervention approach on a patient with lumbar herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP). Methods : The subject was a 53 years old woman with lumbar HNP. The subject received conventional physical therapy combined with exercise therapy and manual therapy. Pain on visual analog scale (VAS), finger to floor (FTF), lumbar lateral flexion, L5 motor, and straight Leg-Raising (SLR) were evaluated at baseline and after 4 weeks. Results : The change of VAS, FTF, left lateral flexion, and right lateral flexion were decreased (9 vs. 5, 41 vs, 25, 56 vs. 42, 54 vs. 41, respectively) and the change of L5 motor and SLR were increased (Fair vs. Fair+, 60 vs. 75, respectively). Conclusion : Our findings suggest that Integrative intervention may be considered in patient with lumbar HNP.
슬관절 전치환술(TKA) 환자를 대상으로 다리거상과 냉치료 적용이 부종에 미치는 영향

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of structured cryotherapy on edema of patients who had a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Methods: The subjects were 58 patients who were diagnosed with osteoarthritis and had total knee arthroplasty in D hospital. In total, 29 people were in the leg elevation cryotherapy group (LECTG), 29 people were in the control group (CTG). After TKA, the patients' swelling on post operation days (POD) 3 were checked. After the post OP checking, LECTG was treated with cryotherapy with leg elevation for 12 days but CTG was cryo therapy with sit on chair. Results: Swelling show significant difference within the group (p<.05), but did not show signigicant difference between groups (p>.05). Conclusions: Base on the results, it was found the cryo therapy of $-78^{\circ}C$ improved swelling after TKA. Accordingly, it is thought that cryo therapy of $-78^{\circ}C$ has positive effect on swelling in the process of recovery after operation. but It did not approve that the leg elevation was even more effective. For this study, the reserch developed to enhance the effectiveness of the cryotherapy, would make it possible to apply to an effective cryotherapy posture.
한국재래산양(韓國在來山羊)의 정자발생(精子發生)에 관한 연구(硏究)

This study was conducted in order to observe the changes in cellular associations of seminiferous tubules from 8 to 20 weeks of age and to obtain the cycle and relative duration of the seminiferous epithelia from 24 to 32 weeks of age. Twenty-eight Korean native male goats were used in the experiment and divided into 7 groups, consisting of 4 goats each, with four weeks intervals from 8 to 32 weeks of age. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Gonocytes were seen at 8 weeks of age, however they were not observed as from 12 weeks. Both type A-spermatogonia and type B-spermatogonia occurred from 8 weeks, while primary spermatocytes were found from 12 weeks. Secondary spermatocytes and spermatids appeared from 16 weeks, and increased in numbers sequentially until 32 weeks of age. Spermatozoa were observed at first at 20 weeks of age. 2. Type A-spermatogonia appeared approximately twice as many at stage 2 as compared to stage 1, while the same numbers of cells were seen in both stages 1 and 8, showing the least number among 8 stages of the cycle of the seminiferous epithelia. The type B-spermatogonia were found during the stage 5 to 8, not to be detactable during stage 1 to 4. The number of primary spermatocytes of the leptotene phase increased markedly during stage 1 to 4, and decreased afterwards. The primary spermatocytes of the pachytene phase were shown the least in number at stage 4. The secondary spermatocytes could be seen only at stage 4 and the largest number of spermatids was seen at the stage 4 among 8 stages. 3. The relative frequencies of each stage among stages 1 to 8 of the cycle of the seminiferous epithelia were 27.5, 17.5, 12.8, 5.8, 8.9, 8.3, 12.0 and 7.2% respectively. 4. Some of the nuclei of Sertoli cells transformed from the "parallel" type to the "perpendicular" type. This evolution took place from stage 1 to 6, when the number of "perpendicular" type nuclei reached a peak and the number was decreased in the rest of the stages. Thus, establishment of spermatogenesis in Korean native goats was completed at the age of 20 weeks.
Bi 과잉에 따른 BiFeO<sub>3</sub>-BaTiO<sub>3</sub> 세라믹스의 압전 및 유전특성

The effects of an excess of Bi on the piezoelectric and dielectric properties of $0.60Bi_{1+x}FeO_3-0.40BaTiO_3$ (x = 0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07) were investigated. The ceramics were processed through a conventional solid state reaction method and then quenched after sintering at different temperatures in the range of $980{\sim}1070^{\circ}C$. A single perovskite structure without any secondary phase was confirmed for all compositions and temperatures. It was found that excess Bi reduced the sintering temperatures, acted as a sintering aid and enhanced the properties in combination with quenching. Curie temperature ($T_C$) was found to slightly increase due to the presence of excess Bi; electrical properties were also improved by quenching. At x = 0.03 and $1030^{\circ}C$, remnant polarization ($2P_r$) was as high as $45.4{\mu}C/cm^2$ and strain at 40 kV/cm was up to 0.176 %.
박막 알루미늄을 이용한 규칙적으로 정렬된 나노급 미세기공 어레이 제조기술 개발

An alumina membrane with nano-sized pore array by anodic oxidation using the thin film aluminum deposited on silicon wafer was fabricated. It Is important that the sample prepared by metal deposition method has a flat aluminum surface and a good adhesion between the silicon wafer and the thin film aluminum. The oxidation time was controlled by observation of current variation. While the oxalic acid with 0.2 M was used for low voltage anodization under 100 V, the chromic acid with 0.1 M was used for high voltage anodization over 100 V. The nano-sized pores with diameter of $60\~120$ nm was obtained by low voltage anodization of $40\~80$ V and those of $200\~300$ nm was obtained by high voltage anodization of $140\~200$ V. The pore widening process was employed for obtaining the one-channel with flat surface because the pores of the alumina membrane prepared by the fixed voltage method shows the structure of two-channel with rough surface. Finally, the sample was immersed to the phosphoric acid with 0.1 M concentration to etching the barrier layer.
