Is There a Role of Pharmacological Treatments in the Prevention or Treatment of Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head?: A Systematic Review

Background: Various pharmacological treatments have been suggested to treat osteonecrosis of the femoral head. However, their practicability remains a controversial issue. Methods: We systemically reviewed articles published during last 20 years to assess the efficacy and safety of the pharmacological treatments. Results: To date, enoxaparin, statins, bisphosphonates, iloprost and acetylsalicylic acid have been practiced for the treatment of osteonecrosis. However, none of them were proven to be effective by high level studies, and most of them have adverse reactions. Conclusions: No pharmacological prevention or treatment of osteonecrosis is recommendable at this moment.

문화자본을 결여한 ‘촌놈’들의 서울 투쟁기 -<물의 나라>와 <불의 나라>를 중심으로-

This article examines the adjustment and survival struggles of the country bumpkins in Seoul represented in South Korean films of the late 1980s, focusing on Water World and Country of Fire. Based on Park Bum-shin’s eponymous serial novels published on Dong-A Ilbo, the two movies were filmed by Yoo Young-jin and Jang Gil-su, respectively, and released in 1989 and 1990. Upon the end of the military dictatorship in 1987 and the inception of the democratization under the so-called ‘87 system, economic success and upward mobility in South Korean society ironically began to be frustrated. There are a number of films that portray the peripheral characters who did not acquire the "culture capital" that Bourdieu named, especially as country bumpkins so that they cannot move up the social ladder. Water World and Country of Fire are one of them. This paper compares the two films that starkly contrasts the paths of their two bumkin-protagonists who struggle to survive in Seoul by analyzing the city as a "field" of conspiracy and plotting they experience. 본고는 영화 <불의 나라>와 <물의 나라>를 중심으로 1980년대 후반 한국영화 속 ‘촌놈’들의 서울에서의 적응기와 투쟁기를 살펴보고자 한다. 소설가 박범신의 동명의 신문연재 소설을 원작으로 하는 두 영화는 각각 유영진과 장길수에 의해 영화화되어 1989년과 1990년에 개봉하였다. 1987년 이후, 소위 ‘87년 체제’라는 군부독재체제의 종말 이후, 아이러니하게도 한국 사회에서 경제적 성공과 신분 상승은 좌절되기 시작했다. 특히 부르디외가 명명한 ‘문화자본(culture capital)’을 획득하지 못한 주변부 인물들, 특히 소위 ‘촌놈’이라 비하되는, 지방에서 상경한 저학력 남성들이 느끼는 자괴감과 그들의 중산층 진입 좌절을 그리는 영화도 다수 제작되었고, <물의 나라>와 <불의 나라>도 그 중 하나다. 본고는 서울에서의 생존을 위해 생사를 건 투쟁을 벌이는 두 ‘촌놈들’이 대비되는 이 두 편의 영화를 비교⋅분석하여 그들이 경험하는 음모와 모략의 ‘장(場, field)’으로서의 서울을 분석해 볼 것이다.

A Study on Sampling Methods and Algorithms for Variable Inferences of Diffusion Model

Atmospheric transport and dispersion is used to predict the diffusion of radioactivematerials to the atmosphere. Several variables are required as inputs to the model for accuratepredictions, but in the case of a sudden accident, the concentration, location and time of radioactiveemissions must be inferred from monitor measurements. In the inverse modeling method ofdetermining a parameter from a monitor measurement value, sampling is used to estimate apopulation by extracting some values. In this study, to enable sampling, a function in which theoutput value x becomes data, was defined, and algorithms for this were compared. Samplingtechniques were applied to exponential functions and normal distribution functions. In addition,algorithms for the inverse CDF method, reject sampling, compression reject sampling, adaptivereject sampling, and Importance Sampling were applied through simulation. The inverse CDFmethod is the most basic method and has the disadvantage of having to find the inverse function. Forcontinuous functions, sampling was difficult near - ∞ and ∞ during the sampling process. RejectionSampling can be easily sampled using the approximation function g(x) to find the target function,but when the c value increases, it takes much time for sampling. Adaptive rejection sampling (ARS)was economical because the area to be rejected was minimized. However, the complexity of theequation increases the computational complexity. In addition, when the dimensions increase, it isvery difficult to obtain a sample. Importance sampling must also have a cover function as close aspossible to the objective function. If the objective function is large and has a value only in a localarea of the data space, poor results may be obtained.

The granitic rocks in the study area are divided into the schist and gneiss complex, Yongdok pluton, Yonghae pluton and Onjong pluton by their texture, fabric and relationship to the adjacent rocks in the field, Schist and gneiss complex occurs as xenolith or roof pendant in the Yongdok, Yonghae and Onjong plutons. The Yongdok pluton occurs in association with pegmatite and aplite in many places of its pluton. In the field it is obviously clarified that the Yongdok pluton is unconformably overlay by the Cretaceous sedimentary rocks. The Yonghae and Onjong plutons are gradationally changed each other, and these plutons truncate both the Yongdok pluton and the Cretaceous sedimentary rocks. Petrographically, the Yongdok pluton consists of granodiorite and granite with minor quartz monzonite. The Yonghae pluton is composed of diorite, quartz diorite, tonalite, and granodiorite. The Onjong pluton also ranges granodiorite to granite. Both the Yongdok and Yonghae-Onjong plutons are different in the constituent minerals, such as alkali feld~par, myrmekite, mica, sphene and mafic minerals. This suggests that each pluton might have been different crystallization sequence and characteristically different gological history during the crystallization period. Iron/magnesium ratio in biotite and hornblende from both the Yongdok and Yonghae-Onjong plutons gradually decrease as the differentiation index increasing in the whole rock. The decrease of this ratio strongly depend on the increase of opaque mineral contents. From the results of chemistry in the whole rocks and some mafic minerals, it is suggest that the granite plutons of the two different geological ages would have been suffered the environment of high oxygen fugacity in the process of magmatic emplacement and during the crystallization period.

The granitic rocks are of adamellite to granite in the modal quartz-alkali feldspar-plagioclase triangular diagram. Petrochemically, these rocks follow the late stage calc-alkaline differentiation trend and belong to I-type reflecting the high oxidation state. Additionally, high Ni/Cr ratio suggests that these rocks would be regarded as igneous origin. The confined tracks of apatites from granitic rocks are very short, compared to the standard apatites of no heating events. This indicates that it must have been the heating events on these rocks during the geological time. These events are originated from the hydrothemal fissure filling deposit of Gyeongsan mine, some residual heat of rocks concerning to Sangdae hot spring and subsequent dykes.
