원예활동이 유아의 정서지능과 식물 선호도에 미치는 영향

자연과의 접촉이 적어지는 현대사회에서 식물 선호도를 향상시키고 올바른 정서를 가진 유아로 성장할 수 있도록 원예활동이 유아의 정서지능과 식물 선호도에 주는 영향을 확인하여 유아에게 원예활동의 적용 가능성을 조사하고 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하여 보고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 대상자는 5세 15명, 7세 15명으로 구성하였다. 원예활동 프로그램은 정서지능과 식물선호도를 향상시키는 목적으로 누리과정을 적용하여 원예치료 전공 교수 1인과 원예치료 전공 박사과정 1인과 논의 후 구성되었으며 주 1회 40분씩 총 10회기 실시하였다. 분석은 IBM SPSS Statistics 25를 사용하였으며 사전 동질성 검사는 independent t-test를 이용하여 확인한 결과 동질한 집단임을 확인하였다. 원예활동 프로그램의 효과검증을 위하여 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였으며, 정서지능의 총점은 5세의 경우 15.1점에서 16.89점(p = .001), 7세의 경우 15.24점에서 17.1점(p = .000)으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 식물 선호도의 총점은 5세의 경우 2.99점에서 3.51점으로 점수가 높아졌음을 확인할 수 있었지만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 7세의 경우에는 3.44점에서 3.95점으로 유의하게 증가하였음을 확인하였다(p = .003). 그 결과, 원예활동 프로그램이 유아들의 정서지능과 식물 선호도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. This study examined the effectiveness of horticultural activities on the emotional intelligence and plant preferences of children and verified the effectiveness of the program to improve plant preferences and grow into children with correct emotions in modern society with less contact with nature. The participants were 15 people aged 5 years old and 15 and 15 people aged 7 years old. The horticultural activity program was organized after discussion with one professor of horticultural and one Ph.D. in horticultural by applying the Nuri-Curriculum to improve emotional intelligence and plant preference. A total of 10 sessions were conducted once a week for 40 minutes. The analysis used IBM SPSS Statistics 25 and the pre-homogeneity test confirmed that it was a homogeneous group. Preand post-examinations were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the horticultural activity program, and the total score of emotional intelligence increased significantly from 15.1 points for 5 year olds to 16.89 points (p = .001) and 15.24 points for 7 year olds to 17.1 points (p = .000). The total score of plant preference could be confirmed by the age of 5 that the score was increased from 2.99 to 3.51, but there was no statistically significant difference. In the case of age 7, a significant increase was found from 3.44 to 3.95 points (p = .003). As a result, we confirmed that gardening programs have a positive impact on emotional intelligence and plant preferences in children.

Background: We explored the risk of death from pneumonia according to cumulative duration in low household income state (LHIS) among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods: Using Korean National Health Insurance Service data (2002 to 2018), the hazards of mortality from pneumonia were analyzed according to duration in LHIS (being registered to Medical Aid) during the 5 years before baseline (0, 1–4, and 5 years) among adults with T2DM who underwent health examinations between 2009 and 2012 (<i>n</i>=2,503,581). Hazards of outcomes were also compared in six groups categorized by insulin use and duration in LHIS.Results: During a median 7.18 years, 12,245 deaths from pneumonia occurred. Individuals who had been exposed to LHIS had higher hazards of death from pneumonia in a dose-response manner (hazard ratio [HR], 1.726; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.568 to 1.899 and HR, 4.686; 95% CI, 3.948 to 5.562 in those exposed for 1–4 and 5 years, respectively) compared to the non-exposed reference. Insulin users exposed for 5 years to LHIS exhibited the highest outcome hazard among six groups categorized by insulin use and duration in LHIS.Conclusion: Among adults with T2DM, cumulative duration in LHIS may predict increased risks of mortality from pneumonia in a graded dose-response manner. Insulin users with the longest duration in LHIS might be the group most vulnerable to death from pneumonia among adults with T2DM.
Analysis of GIS Research Trends in the U.S. with AAG Conference Presentations from 2000-2019

GIS has been used to solve many problems in complex geographical circumstances. Understanding GIS research trends is important to many scholars and policymakers. In this research, we analyzed GIS research trends using keywords network analysis, a popular tool which has been broadly used for summarizing research trends. We used the 2000-2019 AAG (American Association of Geographers) conference presentation abstracts. Only GIS abstracts were chosen and analyzed among tens of thousands of abstracts. After preprocessing raw data, a keywords network was constructed in R, and various analyses were performed such as frequency analysis, centrality analysis, and cluster analysis. Finally, the keywords network was visualized as a word cloud and a graph network. Results show that the most influential keywords were Spatial, Urban and Health. The top five research fields were quality of life, climate change, sustainability, cartography, and urban. This research shows that research trends in a field may be summarized using keywords and their network analyses. In addition, research findings may help researchers take a snapshot of the GIS research trends in the U.S. over the last twenty years.
Utility of Serum Albumin for Predicting Incident Metabolic Syndrome According to Hyperuricemia

Background: Serum albumin and uric acid have been positively linked to metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, the association of MetS incidence with the combination of uric acid and albumin levels has not been investigated. We explored the association of albumin and uric acid with the risk of incident MetS in populations divided according to the levels of these two parameters. Methods: In this retrospective longitudinal study, 11,613 non-MetS participants were enrolled among 24,185 individuals who had undergone at least four annual check-ups between 2006 and 2012. The risk of incident MetS was analyzed according to four groups categorized by the sex-specific medians of serum albumin and uric acid. Results: During 55,407 person-years of follow-up, 2,439 cases of MetS developed. The risk of incident MetS increased as the uric acid category advanced in individuals with lower or higher serum albumin categories with hazard ratios (HRs) of 1.386 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.236 to 1.554) or 1.314 (95% CI, 1.167 to 1.480). However, the incidence of MetS increased with higher albumin levels only in participants in the lower uric acid category with a HR of 1.143 (95% CI, 1.010 to 1.294). Conclusion: Higher levels of albumin were associated with an increased risk of incident MetS only in individuals with lower uric acid whereas higher levels of uric acid were positively linked to risk of incident MetS regardless of albumin level.
풍동 시험용 Lift-offset 동축 반전 로터에 대한 성능 및 허브 진동 하중 해석의 검증 연구

Performance and hub vibratory load analyses for a lift-offset coaxial rotor are conducted using a rotorcraft comprehensive analysis code, CAMRAD II. The lift-offset coaxial rotor is trimmed to match the total rotor thrust(lift-offset coaxial rotor’s thrust) or the individual rotor thrust(upper and lower rotor thrusts, respectively) in this study. The individual rotor’s lift and torque, and effective rotor lift to drag ratio for the total rotor are investigated for various advance ratios and lift-offset values. The two result sets with different trim methods are similar to each other and they are correlated well with the wind-tunnel test results. Therefore, the present study using CAMRAD II validates successfully the aeromechanics modeling and analysis techniques for the lift-offset coaxial rotor.
