LS-RUG-com preparation in a complex extract from mixture of three natural plants. Rubus crataegifolius/unriped, Gardenia jasminoides and Ulmus marcrocarpa that have been widely used in traditional functional health food. This study was conducted to establish the HPLC analysis methods that can be used to establish quantitative analysis of R. crataegifolius, G. jasminoides and U. macrocarpa for standardization of LS-RUG-com preparations. HPLC analysis methods for simultaneous determination of ellagic acid and geniposide and single determination of catechin-7-O-β-D-apiofuranoside were established for the quality control of natural plants complex (LS-RUG-com). Validation of HPLC analysis were performed by checking specificity, accuracy, precision, limit of detection and quantitation, and linearity following ICH (International Council for Harmonisation) guideline. As the result of quantitative analysis, the contents of ellagic acid, geniposide and catechin-7-O-β-D-apiofuranoside in each plant extracts were 11.2 mg/g (ellagic acid) and 72 mg/g (geniposide) and 10.2 mg/g (catechin-7-O-β-D-apiofuranoside). The contents of ellagic acid, geniposide and catechin-7-O-β-D- apiofuranoside in LS-RUG-com were 4.62~6.82 mg/g (ellagic acid), 19.2~28.8 mg/g (geniposide) and 1.36~2.04 mg/g (catechin-7-O-β-D-apiofuranoside) respectively.
Low Intensity Exercise Suppresses Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy Related Gene Expression in SHR
이영익,조준용 한국운동영양학회 2004 Physical Activity and Nutrition (Phys Act Nutr) Vol.8 No.3
This study determined the effects of exercise training on cardiac function and myocardial gene expression, because we hypothesized that how exercise training prevents pathological hypertrophy in the left ventricle by modulation of myocardial genes. We used the spontaneously hypertensive rat (non-exercise SHR, n = 12) as a model of pathological hypertrophy and exercise-trained SHR rats (n = 12, treadmill exercise for 12 wk) as a model of physiological hypertrophy. We also used sedentary Wistar-Kyoto rats as the control group (n = 12). Exercise-trained SHR expressed clear adaptive changes such as reduced body weight, heart rate, blood pressures, and cardiac wall thickness. The mRNA expression of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), endothelin-1 (ET-1), brain natriuretic peptides (BNP) in the left ventricle was significantly higher in the non-exercise SHR than in the WKY and the exercise-trained SHR, whereas mRNA expression of caveolin-3 and eNOS in the left ventricle was significantly lower in the non-exercise SHR than in the WKY and the exercise-trained SHR. These findings suggest that exercise training prevents pathological hypertrophy in the left ventricle by modulation of myocardial genes. In conclusion, the exercise-trained SHR showed improved cardiac function, including reduced body weight, hemodynamic profiles, and cardiac wall thickness, as distinct from the pathological cardiac adaptation in the non-exercise SHR. Finally, exercise training prevents pathological cardiac hypertrophy in the left ventricle by altering myocardial genes.

For the analysis of cardiorespiratory function and presentalion of training intensity, this study was performed the interval-incremental exercise in rowers. The results were as follow: Maximal oxygen uptake of male heavy-weight rowers showed no difference from male light-weight rowers. But maximal power output of male heavy-weight rowers was a significant higher(P<0.05) than male light-weight rowers. Maximal heart rate and blood lactate peak of male heavy-weight rowers showed no difference from male light-weight rowers. In three groups, oxygen uptake of OBLA was a significant higher(P<0.05) than heart rate threshold and lactate threshold. But oxygen uptake, heart rate and power output of heart rate threshold showed on difference from parameters of lactate threshold. In this results, cardiorespiratory function of Korean elite rowers showed a inferior to the international elite rowers. In addition to, we can suggest that the interval-incremental exercise protocol on the rowing ergometer was useful method for the analysis of analysis of cardiorespiratory function and presentation of training intensity.

The purpose of this study is the development of physical fitness training program for sepaktakraw players. The sepaktakraw plays need medium muscular(power) and low energy(ATPPC system) fitness. So the training methods for sepaktakraw players are follows. 1. The training methods for power improvement(among muscular fitness) are weight training (power-up type), plyometric training and circuit training. 2. The training methods for ATP-PC system improvement(among energy fitness) are sprint interval training. bench blast and squat jump. First of all. skill training(spike. service and receive) using interval training program is most important and effective training method for muscular and energy fitness of sepaktakraw players.

이영익,김지원,배상락,백성현,김기웅,김형곤,노용수,박형근 대한비뇨의학회 2013 Investigative and Clinical Urology Vol.54 No.11
Purpose: To evaluate the association of a specific type of lower urinary tract symptom (LUTS) and the depression in community-dwelling elderly Korean men. Materials and Methods: A total of 392 men aged 65 years or older, who completed urological and psychiatric evaluations as a participant of the Korean Longitudinal Study on Health and Aging, were included. From each subject, an interview on the demographic characteristics and medical history, IPSS, and psychiatric questionnaire were taken. Subjects were divided into two groups; depression and euthymic. Subjects with IPSS subscore more than 3 points was considered ‘high’ subscore. IPSS subscores were compared between the two groups, and the relationship between depression and LUTS severity was assessed. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 75, and 6.4% of the subjects were diagnosed to have major depressive disorders. The depression group showed higher IPSS scores than the euthymic group (16.1±9.9 vs. 11.6±8.6, p=0.01). IPSS subscores of question 1 (incomplete empty), question 3 (intermittency), question 4 (urgency) and question 6 (straining to void) were higher in the depression group compared with the euthymic group. Chi-square test revealed subjects with high IPSS 1, 3, 4, and 6 score were associated with depression, but multivariate analysis identified only high IPSS question 4 as a significant prognostic factor for depression. Conclusions: Elderly population with depression is more likely to have more severe LUTS than population without depression. Among the urinary symptoms, urgency was strongly associated with depression. Patients with moderate to severe LUTS and especially urgency may need their mental health status evaluation.
