Body Measurements for Designing Hip Dislocation Prevention Garment in Children with Cerebral Palsy

This study aims to provide basic size data for the development of a hip dislocation prevention garment for cerebral palsy (CP) children and useful information for the design of garment products for CP children through identifying differences in body shape between CP and non-CP children and reviewing the tibial-stature prediction formulas of previous studies. Forty-seven Korean children with CP aged 2 to 14 years were measured for body size from October 2019 to August 2020. Body measurements of 18 sites, including greater trochanter length, which is an important site for a hip dislocation prevention garment, were collected and analyzed. Data of non-CP children were taken from same age of Size Korea and compared. Tibial-stature prediction formulas suggested in four previous studies were also reviewed. CP children had significantly lower stature as well as circumferential dimensions when compared to non-CP children. Greater trochanter length is difficult to predict through other body dimensions. Thus, direct measurement is required. Of the general key dimensions used in the clothing industry, only hip circumference could explain the body shape of CP children. Tibial-stature prediction formulas cannot always but tend to largely predict the actual stature of CP children.
재정적으로 어려움에 처한 기업의 현금성 자산을 이용한 R&D 자금 조달

최근 들어 R&D 투자의 급격한 증가는 매우 중요한 일이고 이에 대한 관심과 많은 연구들이 이루어졌다. 하지만 기업의 유동성 관리 측면에서는 연구들은 상대적으로 덜 진행되었다. R&D는 변화가 심한 재원으로 자금 조달을 받는다. 따라서 일시적인 재정적 어려움이 따르게 되면 기업에서 R&D를 유지하기가 쉽지 않다. 이번 연구에서는 기업들이 어려움에 처했을 경우 현금성 자산을 이용해서 R&D에 자금을 조달하는지를 실증 분석해보았다. 기존 연구와 본 연구의 차이점은 기업이 현금성 자산을 이용해 직접적으로 R&D를 자금 조달하는지를 살펴보았다는 점이다. 기업의 재정 상태는 기업 규모, 기업연수, Altman Z-score를 통해 나눈 뒤, Dynamic R&D모형을 통해 실증 분석하였다. 그 결과 재정적으로 어려운 기업에서 현금성 자산을 이용한 R&D 자금 조달이 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 기업의 유동성관리와 무형 투자에 대한 새로운 안목을 제시해 주며, 재정적으로 어려운 기업들에게 현금성 자산을 통한 R&D 자금 조달의 중요한 예시를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
Quantitative Measurement of Ink-Blanket Adhesion for Contact Transfer Printing Inks

In contact transfer printing, perfect ink transfer is determined by the difference of the surface energies between before and after atransfer step. To characterize the difference, one may record the adhesion force by separating the ink film from a substrate by anexternal force. Ink-blanket adhesion is one of the key properties to determine the printability because it affects all steps of the contacttransfer printing. Only a certain range of ink-blanket adhesion properties can get a perfect transfer. Using a lab-made high-precisionforce measuring device, we developed a method to measure the adhesion force during detaching an ink film from a blanket. Inkblanketadhesion can be evaluated quantitatively either as adhesion strength or adhesion energy from the measured adhesion force. Using the proposed method, we assessed the adhesion properties of commercial Ag nanoparticle ink varying the film thickness andthe solid contents.
楡根皮 약침의 NF-κB 활성 억제능이 생쥐의 Type Ⅱ Collagen 유발 관절염에 미치는 영향

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Ulmus davidiana Planch herbal acupuncture(UA) to inhibit nuclear factor(NF)-κB activation on type Ⅱ collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) in mice. Methods : Using an in vitro test, the synoviocytes picked out from the experimental CIA mice were subcultured. The synoviocyte cells were treated with phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate(PMA) for 1 hour prior to the addition of indicated concentrations(0.4 - 1.0㎎/㎖) of UA, and the cells were further incubated for 24 hours. The in vivo tests, NF-κB p65, inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2(COX- 2), vascular cell adhesion molecule(VCAM)-1 production and apoptosis was observed by immunohistoche- mical staining. Results : The PMA-induced IκB kinase(IKK), iNOS and COX-2 mRNA expression were dose-de- pendently decreased in UA treated synoviocytes. Using the in vivo test, the number of eosinophils in mice treated with UA noticeably decreased in the the CIA group(P<0.05 using student t test). In mice treated with UA, there was less cartilage erosion, less bone destruction, mild synovial hyperplasia, mild fibrosis, and mild angiogenesis with less MIP-2 production. By immunohistochemical staining, suppression of NF- κB p65, iNOS production, inhibition of COX-2 production, inhibition of VCAM-1 production and inducing apoptosis were observed. Conclusions : These results suggest that UA might be applicable to the therapy of RA to suppress NF-κB activation.
Mitochondrial Transplantation Ameliorates the Development and Progression of Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative joint disease characterized by breakdown of joint cartilage. Mitochondrial dysfunction of the chondrocyte is a risk factor for OA progression. We examined the therapeutic potential of mitochondrial transplantation for OA. Mitochondria were injected into the knee joint of monosodium iodoacetate-induced OA rats. Chondrocytes from OA rats or patients with OA were cultured to examine mitochondrial function in cellular pathophysiology. Pain, cartilage destruction, and bone loss were improved in mitochondrial transplanted-OA rats. The transcript levels of IL-1β, TNF-α, matrix metallopeptidase 13, and MCP-1 in cartilage were markedly decreased by mitochondrial transplantation. Mitochondrial function, as indicated by membrane potential and oxygen consumption rate, in chondrocytes from OA rats was improved by mitochondrial transplantation. Likewise, the mitochondrial function of chondrocytes from OA patients was improved by coculture with mitochondria. Furthermore, inflammatory cell death was significantly decreased by coculture with mitochondria. Mitochondrial transplantation ameliorated OA progression, which is caused by mitochondrial dysfunction. These results suggest the therapeutic potential of mitochondrial transplantation for OA.
공군 조종사의 소명의식과 외상 후 성장의 관계 - 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과와 변혁적 리더십의 조절효과 -

This study examined the mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between calling and posttraumatic growth (PTG) and the moderating role of transformational leadership among Air Force pilots. A total of 215 ROK Air Force pilots participated in this study twice with an interval of 4 weeks. The results of this study were as follows. First, calling, transformational leadership, adaptive emotion regulation, and PTG showed statistically significant correlations. Second, a mediating model showed that the relationship between calling and PTG was mediated by adaptive emotion regulation. Third, the moderation effect of transformational leadership in the relationship calling on adaptive emotion regulation was found. Finally, transformational leadership also moderated the mediating effect of calling on PTG through adaptive emotion regulation was identified. Implications, limitations, and future research suggestions were discussed.
공적개발원조의 거버넌스 원칙 : 한-네팔 친선병원 건립사업 재구성

경제발전과 국제사회의 위상 확대로 우리나라는 2009년 경제협력개발기구(Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development: OECD)산하 개발원조위원회(Development Assistance Committee: DAC)의 회원국이 되었으며, 개발도상국을 지원하는 개발원조 공여국이 되었다. 그러나 지원 규모의 양적인 증가에도 불구하고 공적개발원조 사업의 적절성 및 효율성에 대한 문제가 제기되었다. 본 연구에서는 보건부문 공적개발원조 사업의 일환으로 수행된 한국-네팔 친선병원 건립사업을 사례로 문제의 원인을 파악하는 것을 주목적으로 한다. 분석 결과 협력 부족, 법령상의 모순, 업무처리의 소홀과 처리지연이 공적개발원조 사업의 효율성을 저해하는 요인임을 할 수 있었다. 따라서 공적개발원조 사업 추진 및 실행단계에서 면밀한 조사, 분석이 필요하며 공여국과 수원국간 원활한 소통과 원만한 실행을 위한 교육이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.
