들소(Bos javanicus)로 밝혀진 호랑이 기념품: DNA 염기서열 분석에 의한 종 확인

Tigers are one of the most endangered species over the world and protected internationally or locally. However, they are still traded illegally for the Traditional East Asia Medicine or souvenirs / mementos as well as fake products. In the present study, to identify the species of the specimen known as the tiger's genitalia that was sold for mementos in China, two approaches of genetic tools and morphological comparisons were applied. On the basis of the entire sequences of mitochondrial cytochrome b gene (1,140 bp), the result of nucleotide comparisons showed that the specimen examined here is matched with banteng, Bos javanicus (Identities = 1,138/1,140; 99%). In addition, the examination of external morphological characters revealed that the genitalia of the specimen is much more similar to the one of cows, not to tigers. The outcomes highlighted that there are still some fake products of tigers traded in market and molecular genetic tools could help identifying species of wildlife products.

재생에너지 발전 확대에 따른 전력계통한계가격의 변화

이 논문은 우리나라의 재생에너지 발전이 전력계통한계가격(System Marginal Price: SMP)에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석한다. 2016~2020년 시간별 데이터를 사용하여 일일 평균, 피크 시간대, 피크 외 시간대의 SMP에 대해 ARX-GARCHX 모형으로 추정한 결과 총부하, 가스도입가격과 태양광 및 풍력 발전이 중요 결정요인으로 작용하고 있고, 특히 태양광 및 풍력 발전이 증가함에 따라 SMP는 하락하는 급전순위효과(merit order effect)가 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 특히, 태양광 발전량의 1% 증가는 SMP 수준을 0.005%가량 하락시킬 뿐만 아니라 변동성을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 재생에너지 발전이 증가함에 따라 SMP가 하락하여 기존 발전소의 수익성 감소와 재생에너지 투자 감소로 이어질 수 있음을 시사하고, 신재생에너지 보조금이 소매 부분 전기요금에 부담을 가중하더라도 계통한계가격이 낮아져서 이를 상쇄할 수 있음을 의미한다. This paper empirically analyzes the effect of renewable electricity generation on the System Marginal Price (SMP) in Korea. Using an ARX-GARCHX model with hourly data from 2016 to 2020, we evaluate SMP determinants and merit order effects. As a result, we find that solar and wind power, as well as gas price and total load, play a critical role in the SMP. In particular, solar power reduces the SMP level but raises volatility during peak and off-peak periods. This result implies that SMP may fall as renewable electricity generation increases, leading to a decrease in the profitability of existing power plants and investment in renewables. On the other hand, even if the subsidy of renewable energy increases the burden on the SMP, it can be offset by the merit order effect, which lowers the SMP.

텍스트 자료에 대한 네트워크 분석과 토픽 모델링 : 대학 역량기반 교육을 중심으로

빅데이터 분석 기술의 발달로 텍스트마이닝 방법이 주목받고 있다. 특히 텍스트 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링은 복잡한 맥락이 내포된 대량의 텍스트 자료를 분석할 때 강점이 있지만, 두 방법의 작동방식이 달라 서로 다른 맥락에서 결과를 도출하며, 분석 결과를 결합하기 어렵다. 본 연구는 대규모 텍스트 자료에 텍스트 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링(LDA) 각각을 사용하고, 더 나아가 두 방법의 결과를 통합한 해석을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 국내 대학 역량기반 교육과 관계된 논문 초록 자료로부터 대학 역량기반 교육을 둘러싼 주요 개념과 주제를 발견하고자 한다. 대학 역량기반 교육은 대학의 교육과정 설계, 정부의 고등교육 성과평가 등 복잡한 이해관계가 다양한 층위에서 논의되고 있기 때문에 그 실체를 한눈에 파악하기 어렵다. 본 연구는 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링의 개별적인 결과뿐만 아니라 네트워크 분석의 지역적 정보와 LDA 분석의 전역적 정보를 결합한 해석을 통해, 대학에서의 역량기반 교육에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다. 구체적으로, 7개 커뮤니티와 19개 토픽을 연결하여 대학 간 공통적 역량 요소가 자주 등장하고, 역량과 연계된 학업성취도가 지속적으로 강조되며, 역량기반 교육과정 개발을 위한 교수학습방법 개선에 대한 실천적 노력이 이루어지고 있음을 발견했다. With the development of big data computing technology, text-mining methods are drawing attention. In particular, text network analysis and topic modeling have their own strengths when researchers analyze large amounts of text data. But the two methods work differently resulting in unique interpretations, and it is difficult to combine outputs derived from two methods. The purpose of this study is to apply text network analysis and topic modeling (LDA) for large-scale text data, and further present an interpretation that integrates results of the two methods. Specifically, the main concepts and topics regarding college competency-based education are evaluated from the abstract of recent research papers. College competency-based education has complex meaning and goals such as college curriculum design and college evaluation, but it is difficult to grasp key point of competency at a glance because it has been discussed at various levels. In this study, implications for competency-based education in colleges are presented through combining regional information of network analysis and global information of LDA analysis as well as comparing individual results of two text mining methods.

하드왁싱과 슈가링에 따른 성인남성 안면의 피부상태 변화와 제모효과

This study attempted to investigate the effects of hard waxing and sugaring in removing facial hair and sideburns and comparatively analyze changes in skin conditions. hard waxing was applied to the left side of the face wh the face while sugaring was conducted on the right side. Skin and hair conditions were measured 3 times. Then, the result the results were evaluated through a questionnaire survey. First, concerning the effects of on facial skin conditions after hard waxing and sugaring, sebum levels have significantly decreased and moisture levels and skin tone and roughness increased and pores widened right after the treatment. moisture and pores and skin tone on tone on facial In 4 weeks after the treatment, no statistically significant difference was observed when compared to ski to skin conditions before the treatment. In terms of facial hair sebum and sideburn roughness, skin did not fully fully recover even in 4 weeks. Second, according to analysis of changes in facial hair quantity after hard waxing and and sugaring, it decreased right after both hard waxing and sugaring. In 4 weeks after the treatment, remaining hair significantly decreased when compared to conditions before the treatment. In sideburns after hard waxi waxing, however, no statistically significant difference was found in comparison to previous conditions. After both hard waxing and sugaring, no statistically significant difference was observed in terms of hair removal and skin conditions. However, the participants from the sugaring group were higher in satisfaction and intention t to get the treatment again and recommend it to others.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop pictograms for Geup-rgade Poomsae and propose a method for recording Poomsae movements. Method: To apply the symbolization system to Taekwondo, a Delphi surevy was conducted involving experts from the education, industry, and competition sectors,a s well as design convenience. The expert group consisted of 14 Taekwondo educators with master’s or docotral degrees, as well as Taekwondo field leaders with over 10 years of experience. Prior to the sruvey, questions were formulated based on a literature review and professional meetings, covering design and education, industry, and competition aspects. The survey included a total of 12 questions, with 8 focusing on design and 4 on education, industry, and competition. The data obtained from the survey was used toim prove the Taekwondo symbolization system, with a minimum Content Validity Ratio (CVR) value of 0.571 for the 14 expert group. Results: Pictograms for Geup-grade Poomsae, consisting of 8 types of poomsae from Taegeuk 1 to Taegeuk 8, were developed. These pictograms encompass a total of 167 movements. Pictograms were successfully developed for Taegeuk 2 to Taegeuk 8, while Taegeku 1, previously addressed in other research, was not included in this study. Conclusion: Taekwondo symbolization offers a method to record diverse and intricate movements, and this study provides insights into the future direction of recodring Taekwondo movements. The developed pictograms effectively symbolize all Geup-grade Poomsae movements and contribute to visualizing the evolution of Poomsae symbols.

Backgroud : Intraglomerular cellular proliferation is one of the major determinants for dividing various glomerulonephritis(GN) into two groups, such as proliferative versus nonproliferative. We hypothesized that this morphological difference could be based on the differential expression of various cytokines and chemokines. To elucidate this hypothesis we quantified the intrarenal gene expression of various cytokines and chemokines, and correlated it with clinical and histological parameters. Methods: Total RNA was extracted from 54 proliferative GN(PGN) core biopsy specimens and 42 nonproliferative GN(NPGN) specirnens. Using the internal competitors RT-PCR was instituted to quantify mRNAs. Results: The magnitude of the gene expressions of IL-2, IFN- r, and IFN- r /IL-10 ratio were signi- ficantly higher in PGN. RANTES and IL-8 had more abundant gene messages in PGN than in NPGN. It was shown that Thl cytokine was upregulated if GN was mediated by immune complexes regardless of cellular proliferation. Upregulation of the IFN- r / IL-10 ratio and TNF- αwas associated with renal dysfunction at the time of renal biopsy. Conclusion Thl, proinflammatory cytokines, and chemokines were more abundant in proliferative GN, and correlated with unfavorable clinical and histologic parameters. We propose that the clinical manifestations and diverse histologic features of human GN are associated with differential expressions of specific cytokines and chemokines. A new way of blocking the actions of these cytokines should be instituted for the treatment and prevention of the progression of GN.

데이트 폭력에 미치는 특권의식의 영향에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 데이트 폭력을 정서적, 신체적, 성적 폭력의 세 유형으로 나누고, 자기애의 하위 요인 중 심리적 특권의식이 데이트 폭력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 이때, 사람들의 정서조절전략에 따라 그 영향이 다르게 나타나는지 알아보기 위해, 부적응적 정서조절전략(반추, 자기비난, 타인비난, 파국화) 각각의 매개효과를 조사하였다. 20-30세 남녀 각각 100명을 대상으로 데이트 폭력 가해 경험과 특권의식, 부적응적 정서조절전략 간의 관계를 상관분석과 매개효과 분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 특권의식이 강할수록 정서적, 신체적, 성적 데이트 폭력 각각 모두 가해 경험이 많았고, 특권의식이 높을수록 반추, 타인비난, 파국화 등 부적응적 정서조절전략을 취하는 경향을 보였다. 특권의식이 정서적 데이트 폭력에 미치는 영향에서 타인비난이 완전매개 역할을 하며, 특권의식이 신체적 데이트 폭력에 미치는 영향에 있어 타인비난과 파국화가 완전매개 역할을 하였다. 특권의식과 성적 데이트 폭력 관계에서 반추와 타인비난, 파국화가 완전매개 역할을 하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의에 대해 논의하였다. The present study investigated how psychological entitlement affected emotional, physical, and sexual dating violence. The mediation effect of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies (rumination, self-blame, other-blame, catastrophizing) between psychological entitlement and dating violence was also explored. Based on a sample of 100 males and 100 females between 20 and 30, correlation analysis and mediation analysis were adopted to examine how dating violence, psychological entitlement, and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies affected one another. The higher the psychological entitlement, the higher the frequency of emotional, physical, and sexual dating violence, the more frequently adopted of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies (rumination, other-blame, catastrophizing). The effect of psychological entitlement on emotional dating violence was mediated by other-blame. The effect of psychological entitlement on physical dating violence was mediated by other-blame and catastrophizing. The effect of psychological entitlement on sexual dating violence was mediated by rumination, other-blame, and catastrophizing. The implications of the study were discussed.
