Analysis of Fuzzy Entropy and Similarity Measure for Non Convex Membership Functions

Fuzzy entropy is designed for non convex fuzzy membership function using well known Hamming distance measure. Design procedure of convex fuzzy membership function is represented through distance measure, furthermore characteristic analysis for non convex function are also illustrated. Proof of proposed fuzzy entropy is discussed, and entropy computation is illustrated.
연구관리전문기관의 사업형태에 따른 국가R&D 사업관리 효율성 분석

본 연구는 정부와 전문기관간에 위임-대리인관계가 대리인문제를 발생시키고 연구관리전문기관의효율성에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 가정 하에, 법적위탁이 아닌 계약에 의한 위탁사업은 사업수탁에 대한불확실성과 외부영향에 의한 대리인 비용 발생으로 법적 위탁사업 보다 효율성이 낮을 것이라는 가설을 검증하고 사업별 효율성에 미치는 영향요인들을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 정부와 전문기관간의 세부사업별 사업위탁방식(더미변수)과 사업관리비 비율간의 관계를분석하기 위해 사업방식(Top-down/bottom-up), 사업규모(예산, 과제수), 기관운영경비 편성비중, 기관의 수권예산대비 출연금 비율 등을 통제변수로 사용하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 사업관리 효율성과 정부와의 사업위임방식(법적위임)간의 양의 상관성이 확인되었으며, 전문기관의 안정성과 독립성을 반영할 수 있는 법적지위 및 예산 구조 관점에서의 시사점이도출되었다. 본 연구의 정책적 함의로서, 전문기관의 사업관리 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 법적인 안정성과 예산의 안정성이 확보되어야 하고 이를 통해, 위임자-대리인 문제에서 발생하는 도덕적 해이나, 역선택을회피할 수도 있다는 점을 시사한다. Following principal-agent relationship between government and funding agency effects on efficiency and management of project, this paper suppose that project management cost rate variable on outsourcing and administration of institution, applies multiple regression analysis and logit analysis by using factors that procurement status of institutional operating expenses and each subordinates scale (Budget, subject number) and method (Top-down/Bottom-up), not a total amount, for examining factors following project efficiency analysis and way of commission. The major variables which effect on efficiency of institution are management cost scale (0.36), institutional operating expenses ratio (-0.47), way of outsourcing, the factors that affect way of outsourcing are portion of project management cost (-38.5) and institutional operating expenses rate (-11.7). This means both legal and financial stability are necessary and it is avoidable moral hazard and adverse selection on principal-agent problem.

Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) is a very prevalent condition with a rising incidence. The diagnosis remains challenging and often controversial because the pathophysiology of LPR is often poorly understood and there is currently no diagnostic gold standard for LPR. Pepsin is produced by gastric chief cells in zymogen form as pepsinogen, and subsequently cleaved by the hydrochloric acid in the stomach, generating active pepsin protein. Pepsin is only produced in the stomach, and thus when detected in the laryngopharynx, it can be used as a specific marker for reflux. The carcinogenic properties of the gastric contents may also lead to cancer in target organs especially considering that they do not have intrinsic protective mechanisms as found in the esophagus. Many studies have demonstrated a high prevalence of LPR in patients with laryngeal cancer, but these studies are confounded by the cofactor such as smoking and alcohol consumption. This review focuses on the current studies about pepsin as a specific marker for LPR and putative relationship between pepsin and laryngeal cancer.
Chiral Liquid Crystal for Circular Polarized Light Detector

Circular polarized light has a high potential for application in various technologies like security system, optical communication and quantum signal detection. In general, conventional CPL photodetectors cannot directly detect CPL and require a quarter wave plate and a linear polarizer. This bulky CPL detection system limits the compact devices and causes substantial losses of sensitivity and resolution. Here, we demonstrate an organic photodiode capable of direct CPL detecting by introducing organic materials having liquid crystal properties and a chiral dopant. The organic materials in the thin film are aligned with chirality by a chiral dopant. Because of the chirality, this thin film shows intense circular dichroism (CD) signals and the device shows high anisotropy factor of 0.4 with decent photodetector performance.
