The oxidation of ferrous sulfate by Thiobacillus ferrooxidans(ATCC 19859) and iron-oxidizing microorganism of the isolate from the night soil treatment plant was studied for the basal experiment of biological leaching using fluidized bed reactor. They are the most important microorganism in acid mine drainage, a serious environmental problem. From the experimental results of ferrous sulfate oxidation, the optimum conditions of FeSO₄ oxidizing was observed at the inoculated cell concentration 30%(v/v), 30℃ of medium temperature, pH 2.0, 1.Ovvm and 200mM FeSO₄, respectively. The pH drop in medium indicated that ferric iron is hydrolysis in aqueous solution. In the presence of Thiobacillus ferroxidans 90% of 160mM ferrous sulfate within 2days and iron-oxidizing microorganism 85% could be leached out from the 400mL of fluidized bed reactor.
Penicillium citrinum Thom (KCTC 6990) 를 이용한 Mevinolin 생산의 최적화

This study was investigated on the mevinolin production from Penicillium citrinum Thom(KCTC 6990) according to the change of culture conditions, pH, temperature, carbon sources, nitrogen sources, surfactants, and glucose concentration. In pH changes its amount of production showed the order of 6.5, 7.0, 6.0. In temperature changes its amount of production showed the order of 24℃, 22℃, and 28℃. In carbon sources, its amount of production showed the order of glucose, glycerol, maltose, galctose. In nitrogen sources, its amount of production showed the order of peptone, soybean meal, NaNO_3. In mineral kinds, its amount of production showed the order of K₂HPO₄, ㎎ SO₄, FeSO₄. In kinds of surfactant, its amount of production showed the order of Tween 20, Tween 80 and in standard material, similarity to the result of polypropylene glycol 1000. In glucose concentration, its amount of production showed the most value in 120g/ℓ, the of batch culture, the most of 10.0㎎ /ℓ after 7days, the case of continuous culture, the most value of 18.O㎎ /ℓ after 10days, and the case of continuous feeding, 1.8 fold of that of intermittent feeding.

N/A The lineary release time according to the kinds of micelles prepared in the ratio 20:20 of DL-PLGA(70:30, 80:20, 90:10) and clonazepam was delayed in the order of DL-PLGA(70:30)>DL-PLGA(80:20)>DL-PLGA (90:10). Amount of drug release according to the kinds of micelles was delayed in the order of DL-PLGA(70:30)>DL-PLGA(80:20)>DL-PLEA (90:10). Homopolymers were not suited for drug carriers because drug release of poly DL-lactide was too delayed and poly glycolide shows the burst effect in early days.

In this study, we prepared iodinated resins from the anion-exchange resins and examined about its effectives of the iodine release and sterilization. The sterilized experiments were operated by transit of underground water in the column filled with iodinated resins. Its results were as follows. Amounts of iodine releases were showed under injurious concentrations of body. Its sterilized effectives showed better A-520-E iodinated resin than IONACⓡASB-2 HP. In short, A-520-E iodinated resin showed effective sterilization and amount of release iodine under injurious concentration of body, so this iodinated resin was compatible for edible water.
