      • 韓國의 雜歌에 관한 考察(Ⅰ)

        In this paper I examined the concept of miscellaneous songs of Korea in two aspects. Songs are more dependent on the music than on the poem, and the musical aspect ought to be emphasized . However, I examined the charscteristics and the forms of miscellaneous songs, and analyzed their contents: Sons about love and parting ; lamentation for senescence ; pleasure-seeking life I like having a spree, and the life to appreciate nature. I hope on this occasion that the position of miscellaneous songs in Korean literature should be revaluated, and slso hope that the intricacy between miscellaneous and present popular music or poems and songs will be examined more deeply.

      • 日常語의 바른 使用을 爲한 小考

        If we discuss over the correct pretty language, we are likely to consider it as a matter of chronic subject. some intellectuals use foreign language pedantically in their daily speaking language in spite of themselves. So to speak they play up to the tune some poreigners are playing, only because of their lack of their language recognition. Cold reflecting on our past history we must strive to preserve and develope our own pure language. So this author has collected various kind of materials through mass medium for many years, and then jotting down them in memo, studied the daily language which ordinary people ues practically in every way. Through this study I think I made an attempt to seek a way to improve our language to its purification. Nowaday we are on the turning point of language policy which reguires more unified and firmer quality, because of the complicated spelling problems in our daily language, and because of the educational problems of Chinese Character which is inherited in our national history and tradition, and because of the disposal of Japanese idioms which are being used as the remnant of Japanese colonization. Therefore our attitude to solve this situation should be firm and definite, too. The habit of language has a tremendous influence, so it is not easy to mend the daily language prevalent among people. None the less we should sterive to purify our language. If we give up any effort to do so, we can not expect to edify our national language any more. In case we try to conciously mend the daily language which is being spoken unconciously every day, we must have many difficulties. The permant and rational language policy and the national cooperation towards the policy are required more urgently than any other time in our history.

      • 歌辭文學의 儒家思想硏究

        The writer examined, for this study, on the ideas of confucianism, the process of it'sadaptation in korea, the concept of classical scholar and their role, and the ideas of confucian scholar on their literary works. Findings fron the examination were. 1. exertion of virtue in the works of encouragement of learning. 2. enjoyment of the beauties of nature and being content amid poverty and taking pleasure in doing in an honest way in the works of integrity and sentiment. 3. moral training and duties of soverign and subject in the works of spiritual discipline. The writer also found good features of classical scholar from the verses, and we can recognize the worth of the verses that they suggest us not only a instruction and an ideology but being a literature emotionally educated.

      • 歌辭作品의 褶合에 關한 考察(Ⅰ)

        This paper examined the reciprocity of old works of Korean verse by analyzing the selected works which have mixed ideas. To study a background of the idea of a work, this paper made a survey of the thoughts of the Three Religions (i.e. Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism), explained the religious intermixture of these religions, and analyzed the mixed elements of the questioned works. This paper aims to preserve a right attitude in adopting foreign ideas and to know the fact that a harmony of thought and religion is needed as a way of national solidarity. We hope that this kind of study will do much toward modernizing the national tradition by making a foundation to arrange the thought of new era on the keynots of national spirit.

      • 歌辭文學의 道仙思想에 관한 硏究

        The purpose of this paper is to study particulary the hamonious unity of the Dokyo(Taoisn) and the Sunkyo (Religion of Taoist Hermit) in GaSa Literature which is an old form of Korean verse. First of all I examined the faith and thought of Laotga, Chuangtza and Chuangleng who are great masters of Tioism, and inverstigated the doctrine of Taoism and the principle of Taoist Hermit thought. And in the main body, I researched DoSun Thought in old Korean verses such as Manboonga written by Jo Wei, and Jung Chul's famous works like Kwandongbyulgok, Sami-ingok and Sokmi-ingok, and Heesulga written by Hong Kge-young, and anonymous works like Sunloobyulgok and Oklooyunga. Through this study, I was able to apreciate our oredecessors' view of life, and their outlooks on the World and the Universe all over again, and also discover DoSun thought and Taoist hermit's language in many other verses along with the above mentioned works.

      • 流配文學의 刑律的 考察 : in case of man Ebn sa and Buk Cheon Ga 方言詞와 北遷歌의 境遇

        I studied the literature of exlie in the new way. I analysed and studied recognition about committing a sin, attitude submitting to punishment and the mental state arising from other various conditions stc. from the poetry of exile related to the criminal law, that is, the exiled circumstances of the literary works, such as Man-Eon-Sa and Buk-Cheon-Ga, to the life in exiled place and release from that place. I stuied these accrding to the criminal code of Lee Dynasty, and intended to have a new and right eye to appreciate the works to readers.

      • 韓國詩歌의 情限에 대한 硏究 : Focusing on the Kasili, Cintallay-Kkock, Arirang 가시리, 진달래꽃, 아리랑을 중심으로

        The ballad based on the theme on love and parting is mostly presented in Korean poetry and songs. Through Kasili, 'going away' of Korean ballad, the severe pain of parting by circumstances is closely examined, and through some poems including cintallay-kkoch, 'the azalea flower' a well-known modern poem, the affection and resentment of parting and the characteristics of the female tender are investigated. Through Arirang, which has been representative of the best one of Korean ballads since the modern age, Korean traditional yearning and bitter feeling could be scrutinized in every phrase and clause. In Korean poetry and songs, which include modern popular ones, from the ancient time to the recent one, there have been works which mostly consisted of love, parting, tear, sigh, supplication, affection, and resentment. By investigation the reason why we have written or sung a song based on the grief theme like these, the orthodox life of the mental nature and the approach to point toward will have to be searched for.

        WooBoo-Ga is old verse of foolish husbands.Three similar men appear in this verse.We can see their families, personalities, behaviors, and esp.positions as the head of a family, a husband, and a father.These husbands are negligent of their responsibilities and duties, and they are the embodiment of authority, self-righteousness and misdemeanor.Modern men are in contrast to those old husbands.They try to do their best, but they are dismissed, given a cold reception in society, and their family have no concern for them.Therefore, they do not have their positions.They should try to secure their desirable status so that they may get back their sweet home as soon as possible.

      • 歌辭文學에 나타난 忠孝思想

        We are of the imheritance of our spiritul culture about patriotism and filial piety in our national morals. But because of the European and American nuclear family developed by the excessive individualism of today, cooling of human relations and isolation are promoted, and the natural relation ships of man-parents love their sons and daughters, sons and daughters are devoted to their parents-are gradally forgetting from our society. In this thesis I considered in many ways the notion of the thought of patriotism and filial piety inorder to arrange and reconsider it. In the course of considering it through the confucian scripture, the Buddhist sacred books and the Christian gospel, I tried to seize the true meaning of it. In this thesis I studied the thought expressed in the verse literature. Because the Rhee Dynasty adopted Confucianism as the national policy, the korean people of the Rhee Dynasty emphasized the Confucian moral life, And so they practised filial piety, brotherliness, patriotism and faith in their life, and regarded benevolence, justice, politeness and wisdom as their highest idea. Therefore many writers worte many moral verses, such as Rhee I's 「Ja-gyeong-byeol-gok」, the empress dowager kim's 「Hun-min-ga」 and beido's 「Hun-ga-sa」etc. I selected parts about patriotism and filial piety from these works, appreciated and recognized them newly. There are many verses about patriotism and filial piety except the above statement. When the filial piety with the points seeking the true mind-parents love their sons and daughters, sons and daughters respect their parents-lumps together as the pan-national love and cooperation, patriotism occurs. On this occasion I explicate the thought of patriotism and filial piety-agaim, and want to be helpful of consolidating the foundation for the national spiritual in erder to revive our subjectivity and beautiful custom as the recovery of our racial tradition.

      • 韓國孝行說話의 硏究

        Our paoplo have made enery effort to love our country and worship ancestors from old times. Among many works about the korean story I selected only the works about filial piety divided them by myself and studied them. In general I can observe Categories on the basis of relief of the poor, healing and rescue and find many overlopping featurures among these Categories. Realizing estrangement between yesterday's filial piety and today's. I realize that filial pioty of today must be that of culivating our will coming from the battom of our heart. In this thesis I studied the social literary function of the story about filial peity. Filial piety is the homo social and national ethecs handed from generation to generation. Therefore we must realize that the concept of filial piety can lead to patriotism as well as to the support of parents.
