        省齋 尹履炳의 항일운동 - 조선관료에서 독립운동가로 -

        성재 윤이병은 1887년 應製에 합격한 것을 시작으로 16년 동안 관료생활을 했던 관료로 동시에 金光濟 등과 국내에서 항일운동을 전개한 관료 출신 독립운동가이다. 1887년에 무과에 합격하면서 관료가 되어 1903년 중추원 의관에 이르기까지 16년간 관료생활을 했다. 일제하 대한제국의 관료들은 상당수가 식민 관료로 재임용 되었는데 그는 오히려 이에 저항 하여 항일운동을 전개하였다. 그는 '고종세력'으로 전직 관료출신 독립운 동가들과 함께 활동했는데 허위와 김광제 등이 대표적이다. 을미사변이 일어났을 때, 그는 관련자들을 처벌해달라고 호소하며 청복수토역소를 올렸다. '춘생문 사건'이 발생했을 때는 임최수, 이도철 등 과 함께 을미사변을 주도한 자들을 제거하고자 했으나 실패하였다. 그는 또한 경제 문제에 대한 관심을 가지고 공제소와 국채보상운동에 참여했 다. 공제소에서는 일제가 조선의 경제를 침탈하려고 하자 제일은행권의 유통을 저지하기 위해 싸웠고, 국채보상운동에서는 금액조사원 역할을 했다. 윤이병은 애국계몽단체이자 보부상단체였던 동아개진교육회에 가 입하여 일제의 침략정책과 이에 동조하던 일진회에 대항하여 정치적, 경 제적, 정신적인 민족운동을 전개했다. 1907년에는 헤이그 밀사사건으로 일본이 고종을 강제 퇴위시키려 하자 당시 동우회장이었던 윤이병은 동우회원들과 함께 친일파인 일진회 를 성토하고 고종퇴위 반대운동을 주도했다. 이로 인해 종신형을 선고받 았으나 3년 후에 사면되었다. 이후에는 임병찬 등이 조직한 복벽주의 의 병단체였던 대한독립의군부에 가입하여 군자금 모집활동을 했으나 지도 부가 체포되면서 대한독립의군부는 해체되었다. 1919년에는 3.1운동에 참여하는 동시에 독립이 된 후를 대비하기 위해 홍진, 이규갑 등에게 한 성정부 수립을 건의하였다. 이 과정에서 윤이병은 임시정부 수립을 위한 준비위원회의 일원으로 한성정부 수립에 적극적으로 참여했고 기여했 다. 본 연구는 공제소와 동우회 등을 이끌었던 지도자급 인사 중 한 명으로 그의 성격과 특징을 규명하는 작업의 일환이라고 할 수 있다. 아울러 조선 관료가 독립운동가가 되는 과정을 보여주는 한 사례라고도 볼 수 있다. Seongjae Yoon Ibyeong is an independence activist who used to be a government official. Yoon Ibyeong fought for Korea independence from 1895 to 1919. Many of the bureaucrats of the Korean Empire under Japanese rule were reappointed as colonial officials, but he rather developed an anti-Japanese movement against it. He was close to ‘King Gojong’, and he did all his movements together with his colleagues who were former bureaucrats like himself. Other independence activists from bureaucrats who worked with him included Heo Wi and Kim Gwang-je. Yoon Ibyeong was ordered by King Gojong to closely monitor pro-Japanese groups, and was appointed as high-ranking officials such as the chief judge of the Hanseong Court and a member of the Central Committee. He began his official career in 1887 when he passed the military service examination. When the Eulmi Incident occurred in 1895, he appealed four times to punish those who were involved. He also grew an interest in economic issues and participated in the Gongjaeso and the National Debt Redemption Movement. At the Gongjaeso, he fought to block the circulation of foreign currency in Korea, and in the National Debt Redemption Movement, he acted as an amount investigator. Yoon Ibyeong also had much interest in his education, participating in the Dong-A Gaejin Education Association in his hometown. In 1907, The Dongwoohoe denounced Iljinhoe, a pro-Japanese group, and led the movement against the abdication of King Gojong when Japan tried to force King Gojong to abdicate in the Hague courier incident. Because of this, he was exiled for some period. After the Japanese occupation of Joseon, he conducted military fundraising activities in the Military Department of Independence, a righteous army group based on the principle of revenge. During the March 1st Movement, he contributed to the establishment of the Hanseong government by suggesting the establishment of a government to Hong Jin and Lee Gyu-gap. He also participated in the preparatory committee in this process. Yoon Ibyeong sometimes led the organizations as the director and president of the Gongjaeso and the Dongwoohoe. Therefore, in this study, I tried to look at the activities of Yoon Ibyeong in the Gongjaeso, Dongwoohoe, Independence Army, and Hanseong Government, which were not covered in previous studies. In summary, this study uncovers how Joseon government officials’ roles and responsibilities have changed responding to the needs of the times through Yoon Ibyeong’s life. He also represents a case where Joseon government officials become independence activists.

        원발개방각 및 원발폐쇄각녹내장에서 백내장 수술 후 안압 변화에 영향을 미치는 인자

        Purpose: To evaluated the effect of cataract surgery on intraocular pressure (IOP) in primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) and primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), and to find predictors for a favorable postoperative IOP after cataract surgery in patients with coexisting cataract and glaucoma. Methods: Various clinical factors were evaluated in 68 patients (76 eyes) with well controlled primary glaucoma who had undergone cataract surgery. The differences in parameters between groups divided by postoperative IOP course were analyzed. Results: For this study, successful IOP control was defined as an IOP between 6 mmHg and 21 mmHg without anti-glaucoma medication at last visit after cataract surgery. Eyes with the highest preoperative IOPs less than 28 mmHg in POAG and 42 mmHg in PACG had a significantly higher probability of success. In PACG, the probability of success was significantly higher, if fewer than three anti-glaucoma medications were given before surgery and if the areas of PAS before surgery were less than 4 hours. Conclusions: Primary small incision cataract surgery using phacoemulsification and foldable intraocular lens implantation could be considered the procedure of choice for a selective group of patients with coexisting glaucoma and visually significant cataract, with respect to IOP, the number of anti-glaucoma medications, and the area of peripheral anterior synechiae.

      • 자연친화형 하수처리장 유기물 제거효율 향상방안

        In this study, small-scale natural biological sewage treatment system was proposed to develop excess removal of organic matters which known as nutrients causing several problems in the closed water environment. This treatment system was composed of an oxidation reactor and two-step advanced treatment reactor. Oxidation reactor was operated by several operation modes for sequencing batch and continuous flow. Two-step advanced treatment reactor was composed of natural purification layer in upper part and sand layer in lower part. Some kinds of water purification plants which can uptake nutrients were planted in the surface area of advanced treatment reactor. By using the above experimental apparatus, the organic matter removal efficiency was attained to 92∼98% which is similar to the other conventional processes in sewage treatment plants and natural purification processes. The removal efficiency of suspended solids was appeared more than 98% which is much higher than the other conventional processes of sewage treatment. 소규모 하수처리시 자연정화공법의 단점을 보완하여 기계식 처리공법과 자연정화공법을 접목시켜보다 효율적인 처리시스템 개발을 위하여 Pilot장치를 고안하여 현장적용 실험을 실시한 결과, 조사기간 동안의 하수처리장치의 수처리 효율은 BOD의 경우 98%대의 처리효율를 보였으며 CODMn의 경우 처리효율 92%, SS의 경우 처리효율 98%로 조사되었다. SS의 경우 산화분해조에서 1차 처리된 상징수가 생물여과조와 식물고도처리조의 골재층을 거치면서 단계적으로 생물여과 및 물리적여과에 의해 처리효율이 증가한 것으로 판단된다. 하수처리장치에 접목시킨 식물고도처리조의 운전결과 식재한 미나리의 생육상태 및 자생적 수생정화식물의 왕성한 생육상태를 관찰할 수 있었으며 이는 산화분해조에서 1차 처리된 상징수에 용존성 잔여 유기물이 수생식물의 성장에 필요한 영양원으로 작용한다.

        Combined Method of Neuronal Cell-Inducible Vector and Valproic Acid for Enhanced Gene Expression under Hypoxic Conditions

        BACKGROUND: Gene therapy shows the ability to restore neuronal dysfunction via therapeutic gene expression. The efficiency of gene expression and delivery to hypoxic injury sites is important for successful gene therapy. Therefore, we established a gene/stem cell therapy system using neuron-specific enolase promoter and induced neural stem cells in combination with valproic acid to increase therapeutic gene expression in hypoxic spinal cord injury. METHODS: To examine the effect of combined method on enhancing gene expression, we compared neuronal cellinducible luciferase levels under normoxia or hypoxia conditions in induced neural stem cells with valproic acid. Therapeutic gene, vascular endothelial growth factor, expression with combined method was investigated in hypoxic spinal cord injury model. We verified gene expression levels and the effect of different methods of valproic acid administration in vivo. RESULTS: The results showed that neuron-specific enolase promoter enhanced gene expression levels in induced neural stem cells compared to Simian Virus 40 promoter under hypoxic conditions. Valproic acid treatment showed higher gene expression of neuron-specific enolase promoter than without treatment. In addition, gene expression levels and cell viability were different depending on the various concentration of valproic acid. The gene expression levels were increased significantly when valproic acid was directly injected with induced neural stem cells in vivo. CONCLUSION: In this study, we demonstrated that the combination of neuron-specific enolase promoter and valproic acid induced gene overexpression in induced neural stem cells under hypoxic conditions and also in spinal cord injury depending on valproic acid administration in vivo. Combination of valproic acid and neuron-specific enolase promoter in induced neural stem cells could be an effective gene therapy system for hypoxic spinal cord injury.

        중등도 이하 근시 환자에서 역기하렌즈 착용중지 후 각막 변화 관찰

        Purpose: To investigate the recovery time associated with refractive and corneal topographic changes after discontinuing short term wear of reverse-geometry contact lenses in low and moderate myopic patients. Methods: Twenty-four eyes of 12 patients who were fitted with Ortho-K LKTM lenses for a mean duration of 7.9 months were divided into two groups based on the mean manifest refraction (MR) of -3.50D. In groups I (mean MR -2.83D) and II (mean MR -4.00D), uncorrected visual acuity, refractive correction, and topographic changes were evaluated at 3 days; 1, 2, and 3 weeks; and 1, 2, 3, and 6 months after discontinuation of lens wear. Corneal thickness was measured at its center and 3.0 mm from its center. Results: The uncorrected visual acuity, mean spherical equivalent, and average apical keratometric indices recovered at 2 weeks and 1 month after discontinuation of lens wear in groups I and II, respectively. Mean Sim K and corneal thickness recovered at 1 and 2 weeks in groups I and II, respectively. All of the recovered indices remained stable at 6 months. Conclusions: Recovery of corneal changes after short-term use of reverse-geometry lenses was achieved at 2 weeks in cases of low myopia (less than -3.50D) and at 1 month in cases of moderate myopia (more than -3.50D), with both remaining stable to the 6-month mark.

      • 대용량 한글 문장 인식률 향상을 위한 연구

        본 연구는 대용량 한글 문장 인식률 향상을 위한 연구이다. 기존 단일음소 기반에 비해 향상된 인식률을 얻기 위해 삼중음소 기반에서 Gaussian Mixture를 확장시켜 이에 대한 인식률을 구했다. 이를 위해 한글 어휘의 체계적인 분석기인 '한양 한국어 분석기(H2MA)'를 이용했으며, 특징벡터는 MFCC(mel-frequency central coefficients) 39차를 이용했다. 음성 Database의 훈련 및 인식 과정은 HTK(Hidden Markov Model Tool Kit)를 사용하였고, 음성 Database는 문장의 평균길이가 7.43어절인 성인남녀 음성 2만여 문장으로 구성하였다. 실험결과 Gaussian Mixture를 확장하기 전에는 단일음소 기반의 인식률이 삼중음소 기반의 인식률 보다 0.36% 높았지만 Gaussian Mixture를 6개 까지 확장 한 경우, 삼중음소 기반의 인식률이 단일음소 기반의 인식률보다 1.3%높았다. In this study, we consider how to improve recognition rate of large vocabulary Korean sentences. In order to obtain better recognition rate compared to monophone based state, we use triphone based state with increasing number of Gaussian Mixtures. For the purpose of systematic analysis of Korean lexicon, we apply Hanyang Korean analyzer H2MA. In experiment, we transform speech data into the feature vector of mel-frequency ceptral coeffidents(MFCC). HTK is used for training and recognizing database, composed of about 20000 sentences with average lengths of 7.43 clauses. When we use 6 Gaussian Mixture, recognition rate of triphone state would show 1.3% higher recognition rate than that of monophone state.

        고위험군 인유두종바이러스 검출에 있어 AMPLICOR HPV Test와 Hybrid Capture 2 Assay의 비교

        목적: 본 연구에서는 최근에 소개된 중합효소연쇄반응(polymerase chain reaction, PCR)법으로 target DNA를 증폭하여 고위험군 HPV를 검출하는 AMPLICOR HPV test와 기존에 시행되어 왔던 Hybrid Capture 2 (이하 HC2으로 기술함) assay를 비교하여 임상적 유용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 방법: 질확대경 클리닉에서 자궁경부암 검사를 시행하였던 153명의 환자를 대상으로 하였다. 결과: 고위험군 HPV 검사에서 AMPLICOR HPV test에서 양성이었던 경우는 53/153 (34.6%)이었으며 HC2 assay에서 양성이었던 경우는 52/153 (34.0%)이었다. 두 검사 간에 결과가 일치했던 경우는 128예 (83.7%)로 통계학적으로 의미있는 일치도를 보였다(Cohen`s kappa=0.63, p<0.001). 두 검사 간에 결과가 다른 경우 HPV genotyping을 확인한 결과 AMPLICOR HPV test에서 음성, HC2 assay에서 양성인 군에서 고위험군 HPV는 검출되지 않았으며 AMPLICOR HPV test에서 양성, HC2 assay에서 음성인 13예 중 3예 (23.1%)에서 고위험군 HPV가 발견되었다. 자궁경부질세포진 검사에 따른 HPV 양성률은 고등급병변으로 진행됨에 따라 두 가지 검사 모두에서 고위험군 HPV 양성 비율이 증가되는 경향을 보였다 (p<0.001). 조직학적으로 진단된 110예에서 고위험군 HPV 양성 비율은 CIN 1에서 AMPLICOR HPV test 결과 38.7%, HC2 assay 결과 48.4%에서 양성으로 나타났으며 CIN3/cancer에서는 AMPLICOR HPV test에서 95.0%, HC2 assay에서 100%의 양성률을 보여 고등급병변으로 진행됨에 따라 두 가지 검사 모두에서 고위험군 HPV 양성 비율이 증가되는 경향을 보였다 (p<0.001). 조직학적 검사로 진단된 CIN 2 이상의 고등급병변을 기준으로 민감도와 특이도를 구한 결과 AMPLICOR HPV test에서 민감도는 90.9% (신뢰구간 75.9~97.0%), 특이도는 72.7% (신뢰구간 64.3~79.8%)였고 HC2 assay에서 민감도는 95.5% (신뢰구간 81.9~99.0%), 특이도는 69.3% (신뢰구간 60.7~76.7%)였다. AMPLICOR HPV test와 HC2 assay간에 민감도와 특이도는 의의있는 차이는 없었다. 결론: 고위험군 HPV를 진단하는 데는 AMPLICOR HPV test와 HC2 assay는 의미있게 일치하였으며 고등급병변을 진단하는데 있어서 민감도와 특이도는 두 가지 검사간에 차이가 없었다. AMPLICOR HPV test는 고위험군 HPV 검출에 유용한 검사법으로 사료된다. AMPLICOR HPV test가 선별검사로서의 유용성을 판단하기 위해서는 더 많은 자료에 대한 연구가 필요하리라 사료된다. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of the AMPLICOR HPV test in comparison with the Hybrid Capture 2 (HC2) test in detecting HR HPV. Methods: One hundred and fifty-three consecutive women attending the Colposcopy Clinic were included and cervical scrape specimens were tested for the presence of 13 HR HPV genotypes by both AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay. Results: The prevalence of HR HPV was 53/153 (34.6%) and 52/153 (34.0%) by AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay, respectively. When discordant results were observed between AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay, we used the HPV genotyping DNA chip and DNA sequence analysis, as reference standards. Concordant results were obtained for 128 (83.7%) of the 153 samples (Cohen`s kappa=0.63, p<0.001). The genotyping showed that no HR HPV was detected in the 10 AMPLICOR negative HC2 positive samples, while HR HPV genotype was found in 3/13 (23.1%) AMPLICOR positive HC2 negative samples. The detection rates of HR HPV with AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay were 38.7% and 48.4%, respectively, in CIN1; 95.0% and 100%, respectively, in CIN3/cancer. HPV positivity of AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay increased linearly with the increasing grade of cytology or histology (p<0.001). In detecting high grade (CIN2+) lesions, sensitivities were 90.9% (CI, 75.9~97.0%), 95.5% (CI, 81.9~99.0%), respectively, for AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay (p=1.00). The specificities of AMPLICOR HPV test and HC2 assay were 72.7% (CI, 64.3~79.8%) and 69.3% (CI, 60.7~76.7%), respectively (p=0.75). Conclusions: AMPLICOR HPV test is comparable to HC2 assay for detection of HR HPV, with similar sensitivity and specificity in detecting CIN2+ lesions. AMPLICOR HPV test can be considered clinically useful for detection of HR HPV. However, more data are clearly needed on the performance of AMPLICOR HPV test as a screening tool.

      • UV Absorbance Ratio Index with Size Exclusion Chromatography (URI-SEC) as an NOM Property Indicator

        An advanced approach is presented for identifying and characterizing biopolymers of natural organic matter (NOM) in water samples. It involves a simple method based on a ratio of peak heights of high performance size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) chromatograms based on ultraviolet absorbance (UVA) at 210 nm and 254 nm. The HPSECsystem eliminates inorganic interferences and makes it possible to obtain ratio values associated with organic components as a function of molecular weight (MW). Certain biopolymers show a distinctive ultraviolet absorbance ratio index (URI, UVA(210)/UVA(254)) because they contain different compositional proportions of UV-absorbing functional groups and sp2-hybridized carbon. URI values were found to be the lowest for humic acids (1.59 for a humic acid, highest aromaticity), intermediate for fulvic acids (1.88for a fulvic acid, intermediate aromaticity), and highest for proteins (13.50 for BSA, lowest aromaticity). URI increases with eutrophication of natural waters by the increase of microbially derived components that have a high functional group proportion with a low sp2-hybridized carbon, and increases with ozonation by the cleavage of unsaturated bonds (decrease in unsaturated bonds and increase in functional group proportions).
