Nowadays, especially at the beginning of the new Millenium full of hopes and expectations for the mankind in the so-called "Era of globalization & internationalization", I think that the world in which we live is more closely related than ever among the nations. Since Korea began to have access to the Western civilization in the latter part of the 19th century, many words of English, French and other foreign languages were introduced to the Korean life. Later, the same thing has happened to Spanish, particularly Colombia's participation in the Korean War(1950-1953). This study is designed to take a good look at the current situation of Spanish words used quite often in daily life here, in this country, because I consider that it is interesting and useful to do that. The words of Spanish used frequently in the daily life of the Koreans(the number of such vocabulary is approximately one hundred), according to the survey conducted in the present analysis, are as the following: 1. The name of cars and vehicles made in Korea: "TIBURON (which means 'shark' in English)", "CIELO ('sky')", "RIO ('river')", "CORONA ('crown')", "DAMAS ('ladies')", "BONGO ('canoe'), "TICO ('nickname of Costa Rican')", "ESPERO ('I hope')", "VISTO ('seen'), etc. 2. The names of hotels and motels: "AMIGA ('girlfriend/ female friend')", "PLAZA ('square')", "METRO ('meter/ subway')", "CAPITAL ('capital/ capital city')", "PRIMA ('female cousin')", etc. 3. The names of restaurants and eating establishments: "ASADO ('roast beef')", "CARNE ('meat') Station", "BUENOS ('good')", "NAVE ('ship')", "EL PASO ('the Pass')", etc. 4. The names of "cafés": This word of Spanish (which means 'coffee shop' in English) is so frequently used in Korea that it is almost impossible to name it in each case of its usage. However, let me name only some of them: "AMIGO ('friend')'S Coffee", "Café AMOR ('love')", "Café Plaza ('square')", "LAS VEGAS", etc. 5. The name of companies, enterprises or trade marks: "EL PINO ('the Pine')", "MIEL ('honey')", "ROSA ('rose')", "LIBRO ('book')", "FELIZ ('happy')", "LLAVES ('keys')", "AROMA ('fragance')", "MARIA ('Mary')", "BUENA VISTA ('good view')", "FLOR ('flower')", "CASA BLANCA ('white house')", "PEPE ('Joe')", "CORONA ('crown')", "AMOR ('love')", "PLAZA ('square')", etc. 6. Others: "DIOS ('God')", "COREA ('Korea')", "TORTILLA ('omelette')", "LAS VEGAS ('proper name, but literally it means flat lowlands 《》)", "PASTEL ('pie/cake')", "SIESTA ('afternoon nap')", "RODEO ('rodeo')", etc. Through the present research, I have been able to reach a conclusion that, if the current trend continues, a larger number of Spanish, words will be used in this country in the future because the existing relations of friendship and cooperation in different fields between Korea and Spain and the rest of Spanish-speaking countries will be furthered and strengthened even more in the years to come, which undoubtedly will speed up the increasing inflow of Spanish vocabulary in Korea. Remember that Spanish is one of the most important international languages used in the United Nations and other worldwide organizations. Moreover, it is known that Spanish is the No.1 foreign language taught in the United States.

사파이어 단결정의 취성-연성전이에 대한 실험을 행하였다. 사파이어 단결정의 취성-연성전이온도는 변형율 3.3$\times$ $10^{-5}$/sec에서 $1000\pm$$25^{\circ}C$ 그리고 변형률 3.3$\times$$10^{-5}$/sec에서는 1100$\pm$26$^{\circ}C$이었다. 취성-연성전이모델을 이용하여 Prism Plane slip {1120} <1100> 전위속도의 활성화에너지를 계산하였으며, 그 결과 활성화에너지는 4.6$\pm$2.3eV의 범위를 가졌다. 이 활성화에너지는 에치-퍼트법을 이용하여 전위속도측정으로부터 구한 결과치 3.8eV와 유사하였다. Experimental studies of the brittle-ductile transition (BDT) for pre-cracked sapphire single crystals were carried out. The BDT temperature in sapphire single crystals were $1000\pm$$25^{\circ}C$ and 1100$\pm$$25^{\circ}C$ at constant strain rate 3.3$\times$$10^{-5}$/sec and 3.3$\times$$10^{-6}$/sec, respectively. With aid of the BDT model, the activation energy for prism plane slip {1120} <1100> dislocation velocity was in the range of 4.6$\pm$2.3eV This activation energy for dislocation velocity with BDT model was compatible with the result of the dislocation velocity (3.8eV) using the etch-pit techniques.
AFM을 이용한 PECVD에 의해 증착된 Sb-doped $SnO_2$ 박막의 표면형상에 관한 연구

플라즈마 화학증착법을 이용하여 Corning glass 1737 기판에 안티몬 도핑 산화주석 박막을 증착하였다. 플라즈만 화학증착시 반응변수에 따른 박막의 결정상 및 형성된 표면거칠기에 대하여 XRD와 AFM을 이용하여 검토하였다. 반응온도 $450^{\circ}C$, 유입가스비 R[$P_{SbCl}P_{{SnCl}_4}$]=1.12, r.f. power 30W에서 비교적 결정성이 뛰어난 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 화학증착법(TCVD)에 비해 플라즈마 열화학증착법(PECVD)으로 얻은 박막의 표현형상이 보다 균일하였다. 안티몬 도핑농도가 증가할수록, 증착온고가 낮을수록, 증착두께가 작을수록 박막의 표면거칠기가 보다 감소하였다. Sb-doped tin oxide films were deposited on Cornig glass 1737 substrate by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique. The films deposited at different reaction parameters were then examined by using XRD and AFM. The relatively good crystalline thin film was formed at $450^{\circ}C$, input gas ratio R[$P_{SbCl}P_{{SnCl}_4}$]=1.12 and r.f. power 30W. The surface roughness of the film formed by PECVD compared to TCVD was more smooth. Higher concentration of Sb dopant, lower deposition temperature, and thinner thickness of deposited film led to de-creasing surface roughness of the formed thin films.
