      • 分光光度計에 依한 血中一酸化炭素 血色素 測定法에 關한 硏究

        The frequent occurence of carbon monoxide poisoning necessitates the avilability of rapid and accurate methods for the determination of carboxyhemoglobin in blood samples. These methods may also be of value in evaluating the results of the usual oxygen therapy in surely poisoned patients, and in the detection of cases of chronic poisoning of moderate degree. Here is the basis of several methods for the determination of percent saturation of hemoglobin by carbon monoxide using two-wavelength method making use of an isobestic point, which have proven to be suitable in my laboratory. 1. 0.1ml of blood is mixed with 20 ml of 0.1% ammonia solution and 10 mg. sodium dithionite is added to convert oxyhemoglobin to reduced hemoglobin. The absorbance is measured at 538nm and 578nm (isobestic point) cuvette width 1.000 cm, slit width 0.02 mm. The measurement was carried within ten minutes of addition of sodium dithionite. Absorbance measurements were made with a Hitachi Model 124 spectrophotometer and Beckman B spectrophotometer. 2. The average blood carbon monoxide content of non-smoking female was 2.01±1.45%, of male 2.30±1.05% and smoking male 3.87±2. 0%. There was no significant relation between non-smoking male and female (P>0. 01), however smoking male and non-smoking female were significant (P<0. 01). The method given in this paper may be regarded as the most suitable spectrophotometric method for the determination of carbon monoxide saturation.

      • HBA 양성환자의 혈청 Type Ⅳ Collagen 측정치 비교

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the concentration of serum type w Ⅳcollagen in HBV-DNA positive patients. The results were as follows. 1. As HBV-DNA concentration of serum grew higher, that of serum type Ⅳcollagen became lower gradually. 2. Total LDH activity had a significant relationship with concentration of serum type Ⅳcollagen up to l,000ng/mL. As HBV-DNA concentration of serum grew higher, total LDH activity became lower gradually. 3. Correlation serum type N collagen with AST(GOT) and ALT(GPT) appeared to have little relation compared to LDH. But each generally had the same change in direction. As HBV-DNA concentration of serum grew higher, those of AST and ALT were decreased drastically. These were no differences between the test group and a normal group.

        We have studied by nitroblue tetrazolium reduction applying to Hitachi-7150 autoanalyzer and manual method. The obtained reault were Summerized as follows : The effects of ascorbic acid concentration of 5×1^(-3)mM per liter were not influenced. but, the concentration of fructosamine were increasing influenced for the ascobic acid concentration from 5×10^(-3) to 1×10^(-1)mM per liter. On the other hand, concentration of serum fructosamine could not measured because of the ascorbic acid concentration is over a high range of 2×10^(-1)mM per liter. It is thought that the conclusion as for ascorbic acid in serum fructosamine was interference factor and will be mentioned.

        우리나라 일부지역의 혈야상에 관한 고찰(제 1보)

        Authors investigated the hematological examinations of 993 persons at rural region among the 1,7 41 of residents in-the part of Dang Jin (M:268, F:247) and Young Joo (M:270, F:208) in the Korea which was indicated as follows. 1. Average value and standard deviation of hematological items represents as follows: i) Hemoglobin Men Dang Jin-13.99$\pm$0.52. Man Young Joo-14.93$\pm$0.57 Women Dang Jin-12.56$\pm$0.38 women Young Joo-13.65$\pm$0.48 ii)Hematocrit Men Dang Jin-42.68$\pm$1.09 Man Young Joo-44.61$\pm$1.42 Women Dang Jin-38.16$\pm$0.93 women Young Joo-40.33$\pm$1.27 iii) Mean Corpuscular hemoglobin concentration Men Dang Jin-32.79$\pm$1.06. Man Young Joo-33.46$\pm$0.36 Women Dang Jin-32.92$\pm$0.75 women Young Joo-33.83$\pm$0.82 iv) WBC Men Dang Jin-7.130$\pm$880. Man Young Joo-7.490$\pm$910 Women Dang Jin-6.030$\pm$1.150 women Young Joo-7.320$\pm$1.040 2. The aspect of blood type at Young Joo and Dang Jin was same indicated in the order of A,O,B, and AB. 3. There are higher values of hemoglobin, hernatocrit, M.C.H.C. and WBC in men and women at Young Joo than Dang Jin.

        일부 접객업소 여성 종사자들에 있어서의 간염 B 항원 발현빈도에 관한 관찰

        Up to the present there were the blood transfusion and the use of apparatus not to sterilize at surgical operation and medical treatments in well known infectious ways of hepatitis B virus. But all its ways were still not surely known. As the other ways of hepatitis B virus infection, it was suggested that contagion such as kissing, sexual contact, homosexuality, and varieties discharged out human body urine, stool, tear, salivary, menstrual blood, Vaginal discharge etc, and low economic status, unsanitary environmental life, alcohol and smoking related to hepatitis B virus infection. From 800 waitress who frequently contact with a lot of drinker with low economic status and unclear environmental life, this study were investigated HBs Ag (Hepatitis B surface antigen) known marker for hepatitis B virus infection in their serum, and a few conditions of their private life in order to known dangerous rate b~ing exposed to the source of hepatitis B virus infection as comparison with control group. The results were summarlized as following 1. The positive rate of HBs Ag (4.3%) was significantly higher in waitress than in control group(1.1%). 2. In waitress old, 20-24 ages group was the most as 59.5%, and positive rate of HBs Ag was trend of higher in twenties than thirties. 3. Among the waitress, one that it was less than a year were the most (62.4%) in the period to work at restaurant business, and positive rate of HBs Ag was trend of higher in propotion to period to work at there. 4. Among the waitress, one who entertained to beer hall was the most (46%), and they were trend of higher in positive rate of HBs Ag (6.3%) than other waitress. 5. Among the waitress, one to drink with smoking, and only to drink, and only to smoke, and not to drink and smoke 66.1%, 21.5%, 4.6% and 7.8%. Espically in one to drink with smoking, ther was trend of indicating the high positve rate of HBs Ag, and it was made suspicion of the relationship of alcohol smoking, contact with a lot of drinker, unclear environment to hepatitis B virus infection. In the above results, it was found that dangerous rate being exposed in hepatitis B virus infection was high in the waitress. Therefore there are required for active preventions against hepatitis B virus infection them. Also as it is possible to be infectious source in public health that waitress infected to viral hepatitis, it is thought that appropriate rules about them.

      • 크리아티닌 측정중 Ascorbic acid, Glucose, Pyruvic acid가 Jaffe반응에 미치는 영향

        We have studied on the effects of Ascorbic acid, Glucose and pyruvic acid in the determination of creatinine by Jaffe's reaction. The results were obtained as follows; 1. Ascorbic acid have shown the no effects on the Concentration of 0.170 mM per liter lower but the markedly effects on the concentration of 0.567 mM per liter higher. 2. Glucose have shown the slightly effects on the concentration of 1,665 mM per liter lower, but the markedly effects on the concentration of 5.55 mM per liter higher. 3. Pyruvic acid have shown the no effects on the concentration of 0.091 mM per liter lower but the markedly effects on the concentration of 0.908 mM per liter higher.
