Effect of the physicochemical properties of SiO2 on performance of supported metallocene catalyst

The effect of the calcination temperature of SiO2 on ethylene polymerization behavior was studied withsupported metallocene catalysts. The concentration of hydroxyl group on the SiO2 surface was measured through FTIR,thermogravimetry, and trimethylaluminium titration method. In addition, physical properties such as particle morphology,surface area, and pore characteristics were analyzed through BET, and SEM. (n-BuMeCp)2ZrCl2 was supportedon the SiO2, which was calcined at different temperatures in the range of 100 and 900 oC. The resultingsupported catalyst was applied to ethylene homopolymerization and ethylene-1-hexene copolymerization at 80 oC and20 bar, showing that the lower calcination temperature resulted in higher activity due to the larger Zr and Al loadings.
1-Octene/Ethylene Copolymerization Study Using MgCl₂ Supported Ziegler-Natta Catalyst

In this study, 1-octene/ethylene copolymerization was performed by preparing a Ziegler-Natta catalyst supported on MgCl<sub>2</sub> through a chemical method. To prepare a heterogeneous catalyst, a magnesium source was reacted with alcohol, and then aluminum compound and TiCl<sub>4</sub> were sequentially added to this solution. Three catalysts having Mg/Al molar ratios of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5, respectively, were synthesized, and the molar ratios of 1-octene/ethylene were set to 0, 0.5, and 1.0 during copolymerization. PE polymerization was carried out through a high-pressure reactor equipped with a stirrer, and the physical properties of the resulting polymer were analyzed using FT-IR, XPS, GPC, and SEM instruments.

Chlorine-containing modified polyester polyols were synthesized by two-step condensation reactions. Intermediate was synthesized by the esterification of monochloroacetic acid with trimethylolpropane in the first step. Polycondensation of the intermediate (MCAOs), 1,4-butanediol, and trimethylolpropane with adipic acid was carried out. Two-component polyurethane (PU) coatings were prepared by blending MCAOs and IPDI-isocyanurate. There new flame-retardant coatings showed various properties comparable to other non-flame-retardant coatings. They were superior to flammable coatings from the experimental results showing rapid and 10 to 13 hours of pot-life. Coatings with 30wt% monochloroacetic acid was not flammable by the vertical flame retardancy test.

본 논문은 이영식 목사의 생애와 사상을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그리고 이영식 목사의 사랑·빛·자유 사상이 오늘날 특수교육에 주는 함의를 제언하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 문헌 연구 방법으로 수행되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이영식 목사(1894∼1981년)는 1946년 대구맹아학원 설립을 시작으로 1956년에는 특수교사 양성기관의 모체가 되는 한국이공학원 설립, 1977년 제정된 특수교육진흥법 제정에 대한 기여 등 특수교육의 선구자로서 특수교육 분야에서 큰 공헌을 하였다. 둘째, 이영식 목사의 ‘사랑’은 삶을 향한 구체적인 생명력의 활동이고 창조적 활동과 봉사적 활동의 원동력이며, ‘빛’은 인간의 생활이 아름답게 조화됨으로써 마음에서 또는 정신에서 발산되는 광명이다. 또한 ‘자유’는 사랑과 빛이 충만할 때 나타나는 인간의 본질적인 모습이라 할 수 있다. 이영식 목사의 사랑·빛·자유 사상의 원리는 우주운행의 참모습, 우주에 충만한 ‘신의 뜻’을 말한다. 사랑·빛·자유는 상호 관련되어 있는데, 사랑과 빛은 서로 화합하고 호응하는 성질을 가졌으며, 사랑과 빛의 만남을 통해 자유가 나타난다고 보았다. 이 연구결과를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 이영식 목사의 생애와 사랑·빛·자유 사상은 오늘날 특수교육에 있어서 주된 교육 대상인 장애학생들의 존엄성과 권리를 강조하고, 장애학생과 비장애학생을 차별하지 않으며 모든 학생을 존중하고 포용하여 교육하기 위한 중요한 원리가 될 수 있다. 나아가 사회구성원들과 특수교육 관련 종사자들에게 장애아동과 장애인을 올바르게 바라보는 관점을 촉구할 수 있으며, 특수교육의 정체성 확립과 사상 정립에 이영식 목사의 생애와 사랑·빛·자유 사상을 요긴하게 참고할 수 있을 것이다.

N/A The high-solid coatings were prepared by blending the synthesized acrylic resin in the previous paper and hexamethylene diisocyanate-trimer and curing it at room temperature. The characterization of the films of the prepared coatings was performed. The impact resistance, 60˚ specular gloss, cross-hatch adhension, and heat resistance of the films proved to be good, and the pencil hardness and drying time proved to be slightly poor. Especially, there was a remarkable improvement in the heat resistance. This improvement may stem from the regular arrangement of ethyl groups introduced into the acrylic resin. From a viscoelastic measurement using a rigid-body pendulum, curing was accelerated with the T_(g) value. With the increase in T_(g), log damp value was lowered and dynamic viscoelasic T_(g) of a cured film was increased.

N/A Low foaming scouring agents (LSSA) were prepared by blending of amine salt of dodecylbenzene sulfone, poly (PO-b-EO) glycol, Newpol PP-2000, MJU-100, ethylene glycol and organic solvent. As the results of several tests, LSSA-2 showed good scouring effect, penetrating ability and emulsifiability, and showed not much water pollution. The foaming power of LSSA-2 measured by Ross & Miles method was 11㎜ foam height immediately after foaming. And the foaming power of LSSA-2 measured by Ross & Clark method were less than 310㎜ foam height at 30 ℃, 17㎜ at 80℃. As a result, LSSA-2 was proved as a good foaming scouring agent.

N/A A copolymer (HSAs: EA/EMA/2-HEMA/AAEM) which is an acrylic resin containing 70% solid content was synthesized by the reaction of monomers, including ethyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with a functional monomer, such as acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate, which may give improvements in cross-linking density and physical properties of films. The physical properties of prepared acrylic resins, HSA containing AAEM, are as follows : viscosity, 203~550cps ; M_(n), 2590~2850 ; and conversion, 82~89%, respectively. It was found from the plotting of T_(g) versus viscosity and T_(g) versus molecular weight that viscosity increased with T_(g), while number averaged molecular weight decreased with increasing T_(g).

N/A An emulsion of octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate (which provides softness) and an emulsion silicone oil KF-96 (which provides lubricity) were separately synthesized. Then PP finishing softeners (SSA-7) was prepared by blending of the synthesized emulsions with beef tallow hardened oil (a softness improving agent). PP finishing treatment was carried out with the prepared SSA-7 and PP finishing resin by a one bath method, and several physical properties were tested. As a result, crease recovery, tear strength, softness, lubricity, and bending resistance were all good, indicating that the prepared SSA-7 is a good PP finishing softener.
