Indian Banking Sector Reforms: Review and Prospects

Development in the financial sector, in particular, the banking sector, plays a key role in stimulating and stabilizing economic growth. Since the foreign exchange crisis in 1991, India has undertaken banking sector reforms. This paper focuses on the following two issues. First, I provide an overview of development in the banking sector over the years, especially after the implementation of the reform policy programs. In order to show the evolution of the Indian banking sector, I examine the reserve ratios reduction, interest rate deregulation, and ratios of non-performing assets. Second, this paper investigates the performance of banking groups by comparing the degree of profitability, and the soundness and efficiency of banks in India. In conclusion, while reform policies have had positive effects on the performance of banks, especially Public Sector Banks in India, the Indian government has to take further steps to deregulate and liberalize the banking industry.
Adriamycin 이 培養 鷄胚 筋細胞의 分化過程에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究

This study was performed to investigate the cytotoxicity of Adriamycin on the cultured chicken embryonic skeletal muscle cells. The effect of A-driamycin on the morphological differentiation, cell fusion and the total amount of protein in cultured myoblasts was investigated at higher doses (0.1, 0.5, 1μg/ml) and lower doses(0.05, 0.1μg/ml) of Adriamycin. The results were as follows : 1. When cultured myoblasts were exposed to lower concentrations of Adriamycin, 0.05μg/㎖ and 0.1μg/ml, cell proliferation was inhibited partially and cell fusion index was decreased slightly than that of the control group. Cultured myoblasts were treated with higher concentrations of Adriamycin, 0.1, 0.5 and 1μg/ml for 1 hour and then incubated in Adriamycin-free medium. Cell proliferation and cell fusion index were similar to those of the control groups in 0.1μg/ml of Adriamycin, and at 0.5μg/ml and 1μg/ml of Adriamycin, cell proliferation was inhibited slightly but cell fusion index was more increased than that of the control group in myoblasts exposed to Adriamycin for 120 hours. 2. In the total amount of protein of myoblasts cultured in lower con-centrations of Adriamycin, 0.05μg/ml and 0.1μg/ml. The longer the myoblasts exposed to Adriamycin, the more total amount of protein of myoblasts decreased, dose-dependently. In the total amount of protein of myoblasts exposed to higher concentrations of Adriamycin, 0.1μg/ml, 0.5μg/ml and 1μg/ml, the total amount of protein in 0.1μg/ml of Adriamycin was similar to that of the control group but at 0.5μg/ml of Adriamycin, the total amount of protein was decreased remarkably than that of the control group. From the above results it is suggested that Adriamycin decreaes the total amount of protein and inhibits the cell fusion of the cultured myoblasts.

현재, 가입자들은 다양한 매체 접속의 호환성과 통신 시장의 변화에 있어서 가장 적절한 기술과 제반사항을 지원하며, 또한 현 통신 시장의 흐름을 적소에서 요구되어지는 새로운 시스템 설치 및 새로운 망을 구성시 비용절감 효과를 누릴 수 있는 새로운 기술을 요하고 있다. 새로운 변화에 부응하여 IEEE 802.3 에서는 현 통신 시장에서 앞으로 나아갈 제 4세대라고 불리울 수 있는 NGN(Next Generation Networks) 시장에 새로운 향방을 제시하고 있으며, xDSL 표준안 과 이미 상호 호환하는 이더넷 기반의 제품들을 선보이고 있다. 회선기반의 네트워크에서 패킷기반으로서의 전환이 전화서비스를 포함하여 새로운 사업모델을 포함하는 데이터 서비스와 기타 부가서비스 분야에서 매우 빠르게 이루어지고 있는 가운데, 기존의 회선 기반 네트워크와 새로운 패킷기반의 네크워크의 상호 보완적 진화차원의 액세스 전송기술에 대한 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 본 고에서는 차세대 전송기술이라고 불리고 있는 다양한 솔루션에 대해 기술적인 현안을 짚어 보고 향후 통합액세스기반의 광가입자망 전송기술 적용방안에 대해 살펴본다.
