This experiment was conducted to assess changes to the chemical properties of soil and applicability in a case of rice cultivation with organic fertilizers. The investigator applied organic fertilizers to rice cultivation for five years to examine changes to the chemical properties of soil and found that the experiment group of organic fertilizers made an ongoing increase in pH, organism content, and available phosphate content annually compared with the control group with no big differences according to the amounts of organic fertilizers used. As for the yield components, there were no statistical differences in the number of spikelets and grain filling rate between the experiment group of organic fertilizers and the control group. The experiment group recorded a higher level in 1,000 seeds weight and yield than the control group. Experiment Group 4 recorded the highest level at 29.11 kg of 1,000 seeds weight. Experiment Groups 3 and 4, which used 222 kg and 267 kg per 10 a, respectively, recorded 576 kg and 572 kg of yield, respectively, which were 4.7% and 4.1% higher than 549 kg of control group, respectively. As for the quality of brown rice, there were no statistical differences in the head rice percentage between the control and experiment group, both of which were in the range of 83.2-85.7%. As for the protein content, Experiment Groups 3 and 4, both of which used a lot of organic fertilizers, were in the range of 6.9-7.1%, which was lower than 7.5% of control group. Those findings indicate that the long-term application of organic fertilizers can improve the chemical properties of soil and increase the yield more than the conventional method of fertilizer application. The findings also suggest that it will be effective to apply 222 kg of organic fertilizers or more per 10 a.

This study was carried out to investigate antimicrobial activities of water extracted Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari (PO), and their application to F. fujikuroi Nirenberg growth inhibition material. Various organic solvents (chloroform, hexane, ethyl acetate, ethanol) were tested to investigate the antimicrobial activities of Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari against F. fujikuroi Nirenberg. Chloroform, hexane, ethyl acetate and hot water extracts had no antimicrobial activities, but butanol extract showed 2.5% strong activities in order of F. fujikuroi Nirenberg disk diffusion test. Then we observe Antifungal activity using green house. Bed soil and mushroom extract mixed at 10%, 7.5%, 5%, 2.5%, 1% total bed soil mass. Screening of Antifungal activity was tested two periode 18day and 25day. The Antifungal activity rate of each period and extract density was 7.5% mixed bedsoil has investigated 80% Antifungal activity rate. The result indicates that the Pleurotus ostreatus var Heuktari extract using F. fujikuroi Nirenberg registance, which shows the development of organic agriculture seed disinfectant.
Morus alba L. Root Bark Stimulates Adipocyte Differentiation in 3T3-L1 Cells

Mori Cortex (MC), the root bark of the mulberry tree (Morus alba L.), has been used traditionally in several Asian countries for medicinal purposes due to its anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, and antibacterial activities,as well as its antiviral effects. In the present study, we found that ethanolic extract of Morus alba L. root bark (MC) accelerated differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocyte cells. Treatment with MC resulted in enhanced triglyceride (TG) accumulation and increased mRNA levels of C/EBPα (CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein α) and PPARγ(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors γ); however,their upstream regulator, C/EBPδ, showed a dose-dependent decrease during adipocyte differentiation. Immunoblot analysis indicated that MC induced an increase in expression of adipogenic maker proteins, such as PPARγ,adipocyte-specific fatty acid binding protein 4 (aP2), and GLUT4 (glucose transporter 4). Results of the reporter gene assay revealed that MC did not show PPARγ ligand activity even at a high dose (50 μg/mL), suggesting that enhanced expression of PPARγ resulted not from PPARγligand activity but by other mechanisms that might be related to the PPARγ signal pathway. In conclusion, our findings suggest the potential for use of MC as a possible therapeutic material for treatment of dyslipidemia and type 2 diabetes by increasing PPARγ transcriptional activities.

- This paper presents a new method on reducing commutation torque ripples generated in brushless dc motor drives. In such drives the current ripples are generated by motor inductance in stator windings and the back EMF. The ripples suppression techniques that are practically effective in high speed as well as in low speed regions are rarely found. The proposed method here is based on a strategy that the commutation intervals of the incoming ang the outgoing phases can be equalized by a proper PWM control. The controller is implemented by a 16-bit microprocessor and effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified through experiments.

1970년대 이후, 우리나라는 산업화에 따른 급격한 도시화가 이루어졌다. 본 논문에서는 우리나라의 대표적인 도시인 서울특별시 및 6대 광역시의 1973년부터 2003년까지의 31개년의 강수랑 자료를 이용하여 강수량의 변화에 대하여 분석하였다. 이와 함께 도시화에 따른 강수량의 변동성을 평가하기 위해서 비도시 지역을 선정하였으며 도시 지역의 강수량 변화와 비교하였다. 도시 지역과 비도시 지역의 연강수량, 계절별 강수량, 지속 시간 1시간 및 24시간연최대 Since the 1970s, rapid Industrialization has brought urbanization nationwide. In this paper, thirty one years data(1973-2003) ate used to evaluate variability of major cities. Before assessing the context between urbanization and variability of rainfall
