        간호정보학 이해를 위한 영화 ‘The Island’ 활용

        영화는 간호교육에서 효과적으로 활용되는 학습매체이다. 본 연구는 간호사의 핵심역량의 하나인 간호정보학의 개념을 이해하기 위하여 영화 ‘The Island’를 활용하고 그 효과를 분석한 것이다. 2012년 2학기 부산광역시 소재 I대학 간호학과에 개설된 “간호와 정보‘ 과목을 수강한 2학년 학생 중 본 연구의 목적과 의의를 알고 동의한 학생 68명이 연구에 참여하였다. 영화를 활용한 수업은 15주 중 첫 5주에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 참여 학생들은 매 차시마다 자가 보고식 질문지에 응답하였고, 응답지는 내용분석을 실시하였다. 자료분석 결과, 첨단의료기술을 사용한 질병치료와 건강증진으로서의 ‘간호정보학의 개념’, 정보학의 실제적인 간호실무로의 통합으로서의 ‘컴퓨터정보기술의 활용’, 그리고 높은 보건의료기술뿐만 아니라 ‘환자안전과 보안’의 주제에 대한 학습목표를 달성하였다. 종합적으로 볼 때 영화 ‘The Island’는 간호정보학의 개념을 잘 이해할 수 있는 유용한 학습자료임을 알 수 있었다. 간호사를 포함한 보건의료전문가들의 정보학 역량 향상을 위해서도 본 영화가 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the film ‘The Island’ on 2nd year nursing students’ nursing informatics (NI) competency. The participants were sixty-eight students in a baccalaureate nursing program of a private university, taking the course, ‘Nursing & Informatics’ in the 2012 fall semester. Over the 15 weeks, the film was used for five weeks as introduction to NI, peer-to-group discussions, and self-reflection on lessons learned regarding NI. A qualitative content analysis was used to explore the students’ experiences and perceptions on their NI competency. As a result, students signified the NI concept as the assessment of biometrics data, promotion of optimal health with the support of various technologies, and integration of patient-centered care into routine practice. They also highlighted the importance of security and safety measures as well as high quality health technology including the ubiquitous health monitoring system. Overall, the lesson outcomes of the course were met. As a supportive, instructional strategy, the use of the movie, ‘The Island’, was effective for nursing students in achieving NI competencies. Further study is warranted to determine if movies can be used as a means of continuing education to improve informatics competences in healthcare professionals.

        간호학생의 질 향상과 안전교육(QSEN) 역량개발을 위한 영화간호교육의 적용

        Purpose: The Quality and Safety Education for Nurses [QSEN] initiative group has identified six competencies (patient-centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, safety, and informatics) for pre-licensure nursing education along with related knowledge, skills, and attitudes for each competency. The purpose of this article is to illustrate a teaching strategy that uses films to demonstrate the QSEN competencies in undergraduate nursing students. Method: A literature review was conducted to define QSEN competencies ,and six feature-length commercial movies were selected through a systematic process. We provided film titles and their synopses that can be useful in teaching the QSEN six competencies to undergraduate nursing students. Results: Patch Adams for patient-centered care, Wit for teamwork and collaboration, Lorenzo’s Oil for evidence-based practice, Amelie for quality improvement, Blindness and The Island for informatics can be applied in nursing classroom practices. Conclusion: Establishing the connection between QSEN competencies and cinenurducation is novel, yet it would provide a unique opportunity for nurse educators seeking to overcome the challenge of better preparing future nurses. In future studies, additional films should be considered to enhance nursing educational strategies.

      • Pyraziflumid 및 함유 농약품목의 환경생물에 대한 위해성평가

        국내 신규 살균제로 등록된 pyraziflumid는 pyrazine-carboxamides계 물질로 SDHI(Succinate ehydrogenase Inhibitors)계종 성분이다. SDHI계 살균제의 주요 작용기작으로는 병원균의 세포 내 미토콘드리아 complex II의 세포 호흡 과정에 관여하는 전자전달을 저해하여 일반적으로 흰가루병, 잿빛곰팡이병에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. Pyraziflumid는 갈색무늬병, 흑석병 등 다른 자낭균에 대한 활성도도 높아 채소 및 과수 대상 원예 작물에 실용성이 예상되며 국내에서는 팜한농에서 등록시험을 준비하였다. Pyraziflumid의 환경생물에 대한 독성과 pyraziflumid를 함유한 농약 품목의 환경생물에 미치는 위해성을 평가하기 위해 담수어 2종(냉수어종, 온수어종), 어류생물 농축성, 물벼룩, 녹조류 등의 수서생물과 조류, 지렁이, 꿀벌과 같은 육상생물 및 유용곤충의 독성 및 영향시험 성적서를 검토하였다. Pyraziflumid 원제성분의 환경생물에 대한 독성 검토 결과 담수 어류 급성독성 반수치사농도(LC<sub>50</sub>)는 냉수어종(무지개송어) 2.71, 온수어종(잉어) 1.6 mg/L 였고 물벼룩과 녹조류의 EC<sub>50</sub>는 >3.8, 3.4 mg/L 였다. 따라서 GHS 분류기준으로 급성수서환경유해성, 만성수서환경유해성을 구분2로 분류하였다. 무지개송어에 대한 생물농축성 시험 결과 최대 BCF<sub>SS</sub>가 352이며 배출기간(14일)동안 어체 내 농도가 대부분 감소하므로 생물축적가능성은 낮은 것으로 판단했다. 육상생물 중 조류(북미산 메추라기) 독성은 급성 경구독성과 섭식독성 LD<sub>50</sub>가 >2000, >5000 mg/kg으로 독성이 낮았고 꿀벌(LD<sub>50</sub> 접촉 >100, 섭식〉80 ㎍/bee), 지렁이(LC<sub>50</sub>〉1000 mg/kg), 천적 중 포식성응애(LR<sub>50</sub>>1000 g a.i./ha) 모두 급성독성이 낮았다. Pyraziflumid를 함유한 피라지플루미드 15% 액상수화제 농약 품목의 경우 잉어(담수 온수어종) LC<sub>50</sub>가 8.4 mg/L로 어독성 III으로 구분했다. 품목 적용작물 중 최대 살포량인 사과 경엽처리(2000배 희석) 경우의 환경 추정농도(PEC)를 산출하고, 어류와 물벼룩의 품목 독성과 녹조류, 조류, 지렁이, 꿀벌의 원제 독성을 근거로 위해성평가를 수행한 결과 모든 환경생물에 위해성이 낮은 것으로 평가하였다.

        간호교육에서 뇌기반학습의 교수전략을 위한 통합적 고찰

        Purpose: Brain-based learning has become increasingly important in nursing education. The purpose of this study is to (a) synthesize the literature on brain-based learning in nursing education using Whittemore and Knafl’s integrative review method, and (b) discuss teaching strategies for nursing educators. Method: Searches were made through the CINAHL, OVID, PubMED, and SCOPUS databases using the terms nurs* AND (brain based OR neuroscience) AND (educa* OR learn* OR teach*). Included were original articles in the domain of undergraduate nursing education written in English in peer-reviewed journals between January 1984 and December 2013. Twenty-four papers met the criteria. Results: Three themes were retrieved: (a) activate whole-brain functions, (b) establish supportive educational environments, and (c) encourage learners to be more active. Conclusion: Brain-based learning enhances the learning capabilities of undergraduate nursing students.

        간호교육에서 영화를 활용한 국외 연구논문 분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to analyze research papers using movies and to introduce a practical instruction in cinema education for nurse educators in Korea. Method: The computerized database of PubMed, Google scholar, NDSL, CINAHL, and PsychINFO were used to generate relevant literature. Sixteen studies were published between 1990 and 2011 and were included in this review. These papers were analyzed using the matrix method suggested by Garrad (2007). Results: The first paper using movies in nursing education was performed in 1995. There were 16 studies on this issue and classified into one qualitative and 15 quantitative research. Because psychiatric mental health nursing was the main course, movies relating to mental illness were mainly considered. Most papers used questionnaires developed by researchers and discussions regarding the course. The key findings in these papers were all positive. Conclusion: The critics and syntheses in these papers emerged into seven overarching merits of cinema education and that lead to conduct cinema education to deepen students understanding and to evoke empathy, critical thinking, entertainment, and intimacy. In addition, cinema education was safe and economical. This study recommends discovering suitable films and developments in both instruction process and educational evaluation tools.

        간호교육에서 영화의 활용에 관한 고찰

        Purpose: Recently teaching nursing to undergraduate students has been based on the constructive teaching method to achieve the core nursing competency. Therefore, non-traditional teaching methods should be introduced for a stimulated interaction between the lecturer and students and to increase information retention and interest in nursing. The purpose of this paper was to review current issues related to the use of cinema in nursing education. Method: A literature review was conducted to grasp the definition of cinemeducation and to identify the uses, merits, and demerits of using cinema in nursing education. Conclusion: Cinemeducation is an innovative approach to teaching multi-cultural diversity in medicine and nursing. It is possible to conduct cinemeducation to deepen student’s understanding of cross-cultural issues and to evoke imagination, empathy, and narrative. Movies are funny, entertaining, and readily enjoyed by learners. Since individuals portrayed in movies are not real, learners can be more honest and objective about their reactions to these characters. In addition, movies as instructional media are economical. I would like to suggest more curriculum development for the use of movies.

        총의치 난증례에 대한 접근법: 진단부터 최종의치까지

        심한 잔존치조제의 흡수와 의치지지조직의 손상을 동반한 총의치 난증례는 정확한 진단과 체계적인 치료계획 수립을 통해 보철물의 유지, 안정, 지지를 증진시켜야 한다. Provisional restoration은 총의치의 안정성을 다각도로 평가하고 환자와 치과의사의 피드백을 가능하게 하는 유용한 도구로서 사용될 수 있다. 본 증례에서는 진단용의치를 통해 인상면, 연마면, 교합면을 평가하여 의치의 안정성을 증대시키고 환자의 심미적 요구를 반영하여 최종의치로 이행하였으며 임상적으로 기능과 심미적인 측면에 있어서 만족할 만한 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하고자 한다. In fully edentulous cases, which are accompanied by severe residual ridge resorption and impairment of supporting tissues of complete dentures, proper diagnosis and systemic treatment planning are required for the improvement in retention, stability, and support of prosthesis. Provisional restoration, while it is unfamiliar in complete denture restoration, can be used as a valuable tool, which makes possible to evaluate the stability of complete dentures and receive feedback from patients in complex clinical situations. In this case, a provisional denture was used to improve stability of impression, polished, and occlusal surfaces of complete denture, and to consider esthetic requirements before final denture construction. The result was clinically satisfactory in terms of functional and esthetical aspects.
