        보건교사의 인터넷 중독에 대한 지식, 교육요구 및 개입실태

        Purpose: This study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey to identify school nurses’ knowledge, educational needs and providing education about Internet addiction. Method: A total of 198 school nurses working in schools located in Gyunggi Province and the cities of Ulsan, Daegu, and Pohang participated in the study. A self-report scale was used to collect data. It included 53 items measuring school nurses’ knowledge, their educational needs and performing related to Internet addiction. Results: The mean score for knowledge of Internet addiction was 13.12 (SD=3.13), indicating a moderate level of knowledge. The highest frequency, 24.7% of the school nurses agreed that the computer teacher is the appropriate person to do educate on Internet addiction, followed by the school nurse with another teacher (24.2%). Only 40.4% of the nurses had any experience in providing students with education about Internet addiction. The main reason for not providing education about Internet addiction was that there was no time (57.6%). Education was reported most frequently as being provided by the class teacher (36.3%), followed by school nurse (31.3%). Conclusions: It is important to expand the role of school nurses in preventing and responding to Internet addiction and to develop training programs designed to further develop their abilities in teaching and counseling.

        고학년 초등학생의 컴퓨터 게임 중독 실태 및 영향요인

        Purpose: The measure the degree of computer game addiction; to examine the relationship between computer game addiction and contributing factors; and to discover the predictors of computer game addiction of elementary school children of Korea. Method: Data were assembled from questionnaires distributed among 455 children from four elementary schools in Gyung-buk Province. Result: The level of computer game addiction of subjects was rather low, and correlated significantly with gender, academic performance, family economic status, playmates for leisure time, place of playing computer game, length of the habit of playing game, average playing time of game per day, frequency of PC-room(Internet Cafe for game) visits per week, game partners and reasons for playing game. Multiple regression analysis showed that 45% of the computer game addiction was significantly related to gender(21%), impulsiveness(10%), average playing time of game per day(9%), depression(2%) and other variables(3%) such as playmates for leisure time, academic performance and frequency of PC-room visits per week. Conclusion: We suggest these results be used to develop a computer game addiction prevention program.

        중학교 청소년의 인터넷 중독 관련 교육 요구

        Purpose: Internet addiction is a newly recognized problem in the adolescents. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the educational needs for Internet addiction in middle school students of Korea. Method: The subjects of this study were 450 middle school students. The data were collected from open and structured questionnaire about the educational needs for Internet addiction. Result: As a result of content analysis of educational needs for Internet addiction, 9 domains and 19 themes were categorized from 542 statements. 9 Domains are : Definition, Etiology, Status, Process, Diagnosis, Influence, Coping and Prevention of Internet Addiction and General Information of Internet Use. These results were revealed that middle school students had comprehensive education needs for Internet Addiction. Also, there were the difference of need contents and frequency between school boy and girl students. Most of students had high educational needs for Internet addiction based on school health care program. Conclusion: It would be necessary to develop on Internet addiction prevention program for adolescents concerning these findings. In the future, there should be study to identify the psychological characteristics of adolescent associated with Internet addiction.

        간호대학생의 문화적 민감성에 영향을 미치는 요인

        본 연구는 최근 우리나라의 이주민 및 다문화 가정의 증가에 따른 의료환경의 변화에 대해 간호대학생을 대상으로 그들의 문화적 민감성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 시도되었다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 문화적 민감성은 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 우리나라가 더 이상 단일민족, 단일사회가 아닌 다양한 인종과 문화가 공존하는 다문화 사회로 변화되고 있다는 점을 고려해 본다면, 간호학부 교육에서부터 범문화적인 간호모델을 기반으로 하는 교육과정의 개발이 시급함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 간호대학생의 일반적 특성 중 외국인과의 교류 경험이 높은 그룹이 문화적 민감성이 높게 나타나 학부 교육과정에서부터 다양한 인종과 문화적 특성에 대한 지식의 제공뿐만 아니라, 다문화와 관련된 다양한 직접적 또는 간접적 임상 사례 등을 통한 교육이 효과적일 수 있음을 보여주었다. 간호대학생의 문화적 민감성에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로는 공감과 자기효능감이 확인되었다. 이는 자신과 다른 인종, 문화적 특성에 대해 수용적이면서 더 나아가 그들의 느낌 또는 생각을 전위시킬 때 문화적으로 적절한 간호 수행이 가능해 짐을 의미한다. 또한 자신의 업무 기술 또는 능력에 대한 자기효능감이 높은 간호대학생은 다양한 문화적 특성을 가진 대상자를 접할 때 이를 간호 수행의 장애로 평가하기 보다는 그들을 위해 적절한 간호 중재를 수행할 수 있음을 의미하므로 간호대학생의 문화적 민감성을 촉진하기 위해서는 간호대학생의 자기효능감 증진을 위한 전략이 함께 고려되어져야 함을 알 수 있다.

        보육교사의 문화적 공감과 문화적 역량에 대한 다문화 효능감의 매개효과와 조절효과

        Purpose: This study examined the mediating and moderating effects of multicultural efficacy in the relationship between cultural empathy and cultural competence in child care teachers. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive survey design was used. The participants were 277 child care teachers at private and public daycare centers in G and S districts of Seoul. The survey instruments included a cultural empathy questionnaire, a multicultural efficacy scale, and a cultural competence scale. Data were analyzed using the SPSS and AMOS programs. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation, and mediating and moderating effect analyses were performed. Bootstrapping was implemented to verify the mediating effect of the model developed herein. Results: Positive correlations among cultural empathy, multicultural efficacy, and cultural competence were noted. Multicultural efficacy showed a significant mediating effect on the relationships between cultural empathy and cultural competence. However, there was no moderating effect. Conclusion: In order to enhance the cultural competence of child care teachers, it is necessary to develop a strategy that can promote their cultural empathy and multicultural efficacy. Furthermore, these results will ultimately enhance the role of child care teachers, thus contributing to the normal growth and development of multicultural children.
