열전냉각방식의 범용 CCD 카메라 시스템 개발 II. 소프트웨어

We present a software which we developed for the multi-purpose CCD camera. This software can be used on the all 3 types of CCD - KAF-0401E ($768\times512$), KAF-1602E ($1536\times1024$), KAF-3200E ($2184\times1472$) made in KODAK Co.. For the efficient CCD camera control, the software is operated with two independent processes of the CCD control program and the temperature/shutter operation program. This software is designed to fully automatic operation as well as manually operation under LINUX system, and is controled by LINUX user signal procedure. We plan to use this software for all sky survey system and also night sky monitoring and sky observation. As our results, the read-out time of each CCD are about 15sec, 64sec, 134sec for KAF-0401E, KAF-1602E, KAF-3200E., because these time are limited by the data transmission speed of parallel port. For larger format CCD, the data transmission is required more high speed. we are considering this control software to one using USB port for high speed data transmission.
An Assessment of the Cadet's Application Decision : Based on an Empirical Data of KMA Applicants

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the current cadet application decision to explain the high turnover rates during the application process. Using the cross-section data on 2008 entrant cohort, a simple quality response regression model, the logit models, are estimated. The coefficient estimates suggest that regressors like sex and curriculum track do not have statistically significant influence on the decision to report for the interviews/non- academic tests (INATs) as well as test score and parental occupation. More interestingly, Gwangjoo applicants and older applicants are less likely to participate in the INATs in opposite to a common belief that older applicants must be more motivated to attend KMA than their counterparts. Based on the results, the current admission mechanism are advised to consider individual characteristics, such as, region of residence and age, and to devise a way to give sufficient incentives to top scorers so that they become more willing to enroll in KMA.
A Case of Rectal Cancer in a Patient with Neurofibromatosis Type 1

A rectal cancer was found in a 67-year-old man with a history of neurofibromatosis type 1. A low anterior resection was performed,and he received concurrent chemoradiation for 6 months. Twelve months after the surgery, a tumor was found at the anastomotic site by positron emission tomography-computed tomography and colonoscopy and was mistaken as anastomotic site recurrence. The tumor was confirmed as an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor through transanal excision.
Bezoar-induced Small Bowel Obstruction

Purpose: The aim of this study was to observe the clinical features of a bezoar-induced small bowel obstruction and to investigate the role of abdominal computed tomography (CT) in establishing the diagnosis. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 20 cases of bezoar-induced small bowel obstruction in our hospital from 1996 to 2010. Results: Thirteen patients (65%) had a history of abdominal surgery. Nine patients (45%) were diagnosed with a bezoar before surgery, seven patients were diagnosed by using abdominal CT, and two patients were diagnosed with a small bowel series. Abdominal CT was performed in 15 patients, and the diagnostic accuracy was 47% (7/15). Surgery revealed ten bezoars in the jejunum and 11 in the ileum. Two patients had bezoars found concurrently in the stomach. Spontaneous removal took place in two patients. An enterotomy and bezoar extraction was performed in 15 patients. Fragmentation and milking, a small bowel resection, and a Meckel’s diverticulectomy were performed in one patient each. Early operative treatment was possible (P = 0.036) once the bezoar had been diagnosed by using abdominal CT. There tended to be fewer postoperative complications in patients who were diagnosed with a bezoar by using abdominal CT, but the result was not statistically significant (P = 0.712). Conclusion: A preoperative diagnosis of bezoar-induced small bowel obstruction by using clinical features was difficult. Increased use of abdominal CT led to a more accurate diagnosis and to earlier surgery for bezoar-induced small bowel obstructions, thereby reducing the rate of complications.
WALLABY - the ASKAP HI All-Sky Survey

The "Widefield ASKAP L-band Legacy All-sky Blind surveY" (WALLABY) is an extragalactic HI survey which aims to examine HI properties and large-scale distribution of ~500,000 galaxies out to z ~ 0.27, covering a wide range of science goals associated with galaxy formation and evolution (P.I.: B. Koribalski & L. Staveley-Smith). The combination of ASKAP's exquisite column density sensitivity and a large primary beam will make it possible to systematically investigate the rarely explored low column-density HI in the universe. Ultimately, the largest and most homogeneous data set from WALLABY will drastically improve and broaden our knowledge on galaxy formation and evolution. ASKAP will be on-line in 2013, so to ensure timely and efficient reduction and analysis of the large WALLABY data set, we have been developing and testing reliable source finding tools and data analysis pipelines. In this talk I present recent progress of WALLABY, especially on the kinematic parameterisation pipeline for the spatially resolved galaxies detected by WALLABY.
旋削加工에서 極低溫 切削條件에 따른 切削特性에 關한 硏究

In this study, the difficult cutting materials such as austenite type Stainless steel(STS304), SNCM220, STD61 and Carbon steel for machine structural use(SM45C), Aluminum alloy(Al2024) materials were cut in the cryogenic condition of -195℃ by the liquid nitrogen and the liquid nitrogen was sprayed on the cutting part to continue the low temperature during the cutting process. I compared the force to the cut the test materials and surface roughness in cutting between in room temperature and cryognic temperature. In the test, Cemented carbide tool(KTP10) was used to cut the test materials. The cutting force were measured by the tool dynamometer(TSM-ZMM) and multicorder(5L-3I), the surface roughness was measured by surface roughness measuring instrument(SURFCOM 300B).
