In this study, we suggest a new method for evaluating the fracture toughness of thin films by combining numerical simulations and experimental tests. Images of propagating cracks in Cu thin films are taken by using microscope, and far-fields loadings are estimated inversely to reproduce crack opening shapes. A Cu thin film with an initial crack, which is attached on aluminum sheets, is extended by a tensile tester. The energy release rate for crack growth is computed by conservation integral techniques in finite element analyses. As a result, the present method can evaluate the fracture toughness of thin films easily, and can be used for many industrial applications.
간호대학생의 학년 진급에 따른 자아존중감과 리더십의 변화

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the changes of self-esteem and leadership scores in nursing students during two years. Method: The subjects were 233 nursing students in their first year in 2007, and 257 in their third year in 2009. Data were collected 2 times for the same subjects, in 2007 and 2009 respectively, with the same structured questionnaires. Result: Satisfaction for major and interpersonal relationships of nursing students was significantly increased in the third year over the first year. Self-esteem and leadership scores were significantly increased in the third year over the first year (t=5.48, p<.001, t=5.63, p<.001). Self-esteem and leadership scores increased significantly according to satisfaction degree, interpersonal relationship and year. Self-esteem was positively related to leadership (r=.50, p<.001). Conclusion: The result of this study may show the increase in self-esteem and leadership of nursing students relevant with their year of nursing. This finding suggests the importance of satisfaction and interpersonal relationships to increase self-esteem and leadership.
전자뇌관과 미진동폭약을 활용한 보안물건 초근접 구간에서의 터널발파공법 적용에 관한 연구

터널굴착에 있어 일반적인 발파공법으로는 발파시 발생되는 지반진동 및 소음 등의 발파공해로 인해 보안물건과 10~20m이내의 근접구간에 대한 시공이 불가하여 해당구간은 현재 주로 기계식 굴착공법을 시공중에 있으나 이 공법은 민원에 대한 환경성은 유리하나 시공성이 현저히 떨어져 공기 증가로 인한 시공비용 상승의 문제점을 발생시킨다. 본 연구는 현장 시험발파를 통해 초정밀 시차제어가 가능한 전자뇌관과 진동저감에 효과적인 미진동폭약(LoVEX)을 활용하여 일반적인 발파공법의 적용이 곤란한 터널 굴착구간에서도 주변 보안물건에 대한 안전성을 확보하고 시공성, 경제성 등을 확보할 수 있는 초저진동 전자제어발파공법을 연구, 개발하고자 하였다. Due to civil complaints on vibrations and noises arising from blasting, mechanical excavation has been widely used for tunneling rather than the method of blasting, especially in the case of being in a close-proximity of 10M-20M range to a safety-thing. However, mechanical excavation, though less, it does increase the cost of whole construction project as the period of excavation is much prolonged from lack of constructability. This study aims to research and develop an effective blasting method that can ensure the constructability of shortened excavation period whilst not compromising the safety of the safety-things in a proximity to the blasting site by using a combination of an electronic detonator that can accurately control its delay period and a Low Vibration Explosives(LoVEX) that is effective on vibration control.
콘크리트궤도에 고속분기기 설치를 고려한 교량설계 및 시공기법

The concrete track is being used at the Phase Ⅱ of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway and New Constructed Honam High Speed Railway. When it makes a decision of bridge type, It has to consider about longitudinal forces of Continuous Welded Rail, Displacement at the end of bridges, Up-lift forces for fastener on the track. If it is installed turnout on the bridge, There is likelihood of the deck twist by applying the each difference longitudinal forces at the 4 each rails and the buckling by concentration of rail stress at the turnout. Moreover, If it is installed turnout on the continuous bridge and REJ(Rail Expansion Joint) on the main track or turnout track. It is hard to keep a safety for rail because of coming to twist or folding at the expansion of deck on the turnout track. Therefore when it is a design of bridge with turnout. It need to take bridge type to minimize an additional axial force and a displacement at the turnout. This paper makes a study of the composite steel arch bridge that is able to resolve criteria requirements of safety for track with turnout and suggest a helpful design method for bridge considering track with turnout by being based on design and construction method of Eonyang Bridge at the north part of Ulsan Station in Phase Ⅱ of the Kyeongbu High Speed Railway.
기본간호학 실습교육현황과 실기능력 평가방법에 관한 조사

Purpose: In this study the present status of the practicum in Fundamentals of Nursing and test for student competency in nursing skills were surveyed. Method: Participants included 72 nursing schools. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and SPSS 17.0 for data analysis. Results: Credits for Fundamentals of Nursing, credits for practicum and hours per credit were 2.93, 7.34, and 2.14 respectively. Number of students per practice unit, full time assistants and students per assistant were 28.6, 0.6, and 20.2 respectively. Utilization of CPX room and OSCE room for practice was 5.6%, and 9.7% respectively. Of the school, 32.0% included clinical practice in the practicum. 90.3% provided an open lab but only 48.4% had full-time assistants for these clinical practice areas. Testing for nursing skill competency was performed twice a semester in most schools. Utilization of standard patients and high fidelity models for testing was 8.3%, and 23.6% respectively. The test was thought to be inappropriate in 33.4% of the schools. Conclusions: The results suggest that to improve the outcomes, the practicum for Fundamentals of Nursing needs to be changed to include expansion of facilities and human resources, utilization of standard patients and high fidelity models and development of appropriate test methods.
