        상재하중의 크기와 이격거리에 따른 강성벽체의 토압분포

        Earth pressure due to gravity generally increases linearly with the depth, but the distribution of earth pressure due to surface load depends on the loading condition, the ground condition, and the boundary condition. In this study, the earth pressure on a rigid wall due to the vertical surface load was measured in experiments. Rigid wall was built in the model test box, and it was filled with homogeneous sandy ground (width 30 cm, height 88 cm, length 110 cm). Rigid wall was composed of 8 segments, which were tested on the two load cells. In the tests, we observed the distribution of the earth pressure on the rigid wall depending on the vertical surface load and it’s location. According to the test results, the lateral earth pressure due to the vertical surface load showed its maximum value at a constant depth and decreased with the depth, to the negligible value at the critical depth. The critical depth and the depth at which lateral earth pressure reaches its maximum were not decided by the magnitude of the vertical surface load. They were dependant on the distance from the rigid wall.

      • E-M을 이용한 개선된 혼합영상의 분리

        이 논문에서는, 기존의 독립성분해석기법 이노베이션을 이용한 혼합영상분리의 기법을 EM알고리즘을 첨가하여 새롭게 향상된 혼합영상분리 방법을 제안한다. 독립성분해석기법은 통계적으로 독립된 랜덤변수들의 선형조합으로 측정대상 랜덤신호를 표기하는 여러 통계신호처리 기법 중의 하나로, 정보의 분리, 특징 추출 등의 응용분야에 적용되고 있다. 기술적으로는, 독립성분기법은 주성분 분리기법의 확장이라 볼 수 있고, 근래에 혼합정보의 분리에 관련하여 많이 연구되고 있다. 현재까지의 연구 결과로는 혼합영상의 분리에 있어 독립성분해석기법만으로는 혼합영상분리의 해를 얻지 못하고 있다. 이러한 독립성분해석기법의 약점을 보완하는 방법으로, 최근에 이노베이션 프로세서를 전처리로 하는 독립성분해석기법을 혼합한 시스템을 이용한 혼합영상 분리가 시도되었다. 이노베이션 프로세서를 전처리로 첨가한 혼합영상분리의 과정도 독립성분해석기법만을 사용한 경우 보다는 향상된 혼합영상분리를 하지만, 분류된 영상들이 원래의 혼합 전의 영상과 많이 다른 결과를 내고 있다. 기존의 방법들인 독립성분해석기법이나 이노베이션이 전처리로 적용된 경우에도 혼합이전의 영상간의 상관관계가 클 경우, 혼합영상의 분류가 잘 이루어지지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 이 약점을 보완하기 위하여, EM이론을 기존의 시스템에 전처리로 첨가하여 혼합 영상의 분리를 향상시키고자 하였다. 실험 결과에서는 최근에 연구된 이노베이션의 방법보다 EM을 적용시킨 경우가 향상된 혼합영상의 분리의 결과를 보여 주고 있다. In this paper, a new method for the improvement of mixed image separation scheme is presented adding the expectation-maximization algorithm to the scheme consists of the independent component analysis and the innovation process. In general, the independent component analysis (ICA) is one of the widely used statistical signal processing schemes, which represents the information from observations as a set of random variables in the form of linear combinations of another statistically independent component variables. In various useful applications, ICA provides a more meaningful representation of the data than the principal component analysis through the transformation of the data to be quasi-orthogonal to each other, which can be utilized in linear projection. However, it has been known that ICA does not establish good performance in source separation by itself. Thus, in order to overcome this limitation, there have been many techniques that are designed to reinforce the good properties of ICA. The innovation process is one of the methods that were employed in image separation using ICA, which improves the mixed image separation. Unfortunately, the innovation process still needs to be studied since it yields inconsistent result due to the randomness of images mixing weights. In order to improve the performance of the conventional method, the expectation and maximization process is added to the system. The results presented in this paper show that the proposed improves the image separation as presented in experiments.

        A Efficient image separation scheme using ICA with new fast EM algorithm

        In this paper, a Efficient method for the mixed image separation is presented using independent component analysis and the new fast expectation-maximization(EM) algorithm. In general, the independent component analysis (ICA) is one of the widely used statistical signal processing scheme in various applications. However, it has been known that ICA does not establish good performance in source separation by itself. So, Innovation process which is one of the methods that were employed in image separation using ICA, which produces improved the mixed image separation. Unfortunately, the innovation process needs long processing time compared with ICA or EM. Thus, in order to overcome this limitation, we proposed new method which combined ICA with the New fast EM algorithm instead of using the innovation process. Proposed method improves the performance and reduces the total processing time for the Image separation. We compared our proposed method with ICA combined with innovation process. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method by applying it to image separation problems.

        EM 알고리즘에 의한 퍼지 규칙생성과 온도 제어 시스템의 설계

        본 논문에서는 EM(Expectation-Maximization) 알고리즘을 이용한 자동적인 퍼지 규칙생성과 적응 뉴로-퍼지 제어기(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Controller)의 설계를 제안한다. EM 알고리즘은 가우시안 혼합모델(Gaussian Mixture Model)의 최대우도추정(Maximum Likelihood Estimate)을 위해 사용되어지며 본 논문에서는 규칙생성을 위해 클러스터 중심을 추정한다. 추정된 클러스터는 ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)의 퍼지 규칙과 소속함수를 구축하는데 사용되어진다. 시뮬레이션으로 제안된 적응 뉴로-퍼지 제어기의 성능을 입증하기 위해 목욕물 온도 제어 시스템에 대해 다루고 기존 퍼지 제어기에 비해 적은 규칙의 수와 작은 값의 SAE(Sum of Absolute Error)으로 성능개선을 확인하였다. This paper presents a fuzzy rule extraction method using EM(Expectation-Maximization) algorithm and a design method of adaptive neuro-fuzzy control. EM algorithm is used to estimate a maximum likelihood of a GMM(Gaussian Mixture Model) and cluster centers. The estimated clusters is used to automatically construct the fuzzy rules and membership functions for ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System). Finally, we applied the proposed method to the water temperature control system and obtained better results with respect to the number of rules and SAE(Sum of Absolute Error) than previous techniques such as conventional fuzzy controller.

        연직 불연속면이 존재하는 얕은 심도의 사질토 지반에서 2-arch 터널 단계별 굴착에 따른 하중전이에 관한 실험적연구

        본 논문에서는 연직 불연속면을 포함하는 지반에서 얕은 심도 2-arch 터널 굴착에 따른 거동특성을 실험적으로 연구하였으며, 2-arch 터널 굴착에 따른 필러부 하중전이 특성을 관찰하였다. 연직 불연속면의 위치를 변화시키고, 2-arch터널 시공단계별로 모형실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 2-arch 터널 굴착에 따른 이완하중이 불연속면이 위치한 곳에 집중되었고, 불연속면에 차단되어 불연속면을 넘어서까지 하중이 전이되지는 않았다. 또한 인접한 터널의 하반을 굴착할 때보다 상반을 굴착할 때에 필러부와 지반변형에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. In this study, the behavior of a shallow 2-arch tunnel during the excavation in the sandy ground containing vertical discontinuity plane was experimentally studied. Load transfer mechanism in the pillar caused by a 2-arch tunnel excavation was observed. The position of the vertical discontinuity plane was varied. Model tests were carried out in the normal construction sequence of 2-arch tunnel. Test results-showed that the load transfer caused by the 2-arch tunnel excavation was concentrated in the discontinuity plane, and was cut by the discontinuity plane, so no load transfer took place above the discontinuity plane. It was also shown that the effect of adjacent tunnel excavation on the pillar load and the ground deformation was greater when excavating the upper half-face of the main tunnel, more than when excavating the lower half-face.

        중독감시체계를 이용한 중독정보 수집 및 분석: 후향적 기초조사

        Purpose: Toxic Exposure Surveillance System (TESS) is widely used for poisoning data collection and making a counterplan. But, there were few reports about poisoning data collection using TESS in Korea. The aim was to collect poisoning data using TESS report form and investigate the recognition of emergency physician about the necessity of TESS as preliminary survey. Methods: Retrospectively, we gathered data from hospital records about the patient who admitted hospital emergency room due to poisoning. Date were gathered by paper and/or web client system report form in patients recruited by ICD-10 codes Results: From Jun 2004 to May 2005,3,203 patients were enrolled in 30 hospitals and their mean age was $44.9{\pm}20.3years$ old(male: female = 1,565: 1,638). The most frequent site of exposure was their own residence (73.2%, 2,345/3,203) and most of reported patients were older than 20 years(89.7%, 2,871/3,203). Frequent substances involved in poisoning were medication(41.9%) and pesticide(33.3%). Intentional poisoning was 60.7%(1,954). In fatality, overall frequency was 5.1%(162/3,203) and the most frequent route of exposure was ingestion(96.3%, 156/162) and the most frequent substance was pesticide(85.2%, 138/ 162). Antidotes were administered in 202 patients(2-PAM, atropine, antivenin, N-acetylcystein, vitamin K, flumazenil, ethanol, methylene blue, naloxone, calcium compound). 19 of 20 emergency physicians agreed with necessity of TESS. Conclusion: Data collection using TESS report form showed preliminary poisoning events in Korea. Frequent poisoning substance were medication and pesticide. The fatality was mainly related with pesticide ingestion. Many doctors in emergency room recognized the necessity of TESS.

        국내 농약 제품표지 내용 및 유독성 표시의 적절성

        Purpose: The morbidity of pesticides are largely related with accidental ingestion in human. The four principal ideals of clarity, completeness, conformity and consistency of label are important to make a correct usage and prevent unnecessary health risk. The aim of this study is to evaluate the appropriateness of pesticides labelling practice in Korea. Methods: The photographic label images of pesticide products were gathered through visiting thirteen manufacturers that produce pesticide products in Korea. We scored labelling practice by guidelines of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1995. Results: From August 2005 to November 2005, we gathered 1,296 label images of pesticide and $58.3{\%}$ (755/1,296) of images were scored by check lists for reviewing label content. The average score of four check list categories was $71.9{\pm}2.2$. Each categorical score were $91.7{\pm}0.9$ for the information appearing on the label, $31.3{\pm}0.0$ for safety precaution, $77.7{\pm}2.0$ for instructions for use, $87.0{\pm}8.7$ for general configurations. In safety precaution, the sentence of keeping locked up the product and two mandatory safety pictograms were missed in all label images. In general configurations category, there was score difference in product package types between bottle and bag container ($85.1{\pm}9.0$ vs. $90.3{\pm}7.2$, p < 0.01). Conclusion: Although there was no comparable previous data, the score of safety precaution was lowest than other categories because the two mandatory safety pictograms and locked up warning sentence were missed. In general configurations, the colour contrast was more inappropriate in the labels on bottle than bag container.
