We consider the management problem of a production system in which workers conduct their own jobs for each item. Workers take a break after a certain amount of work time and restart work. They switch with new workers after the work-recess cycle is repeated several times. To develop an optimal management policy, we develop a work-recess model and obtain a mathematical formula for the expected cost rate function per unit of work. We also demonstrate that there exists an optimal number of work-recess cycles, an optimal amount of work during a work-recess cycle and an optimal recess time, each of which minimizes the expected cost. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed preventive management policy.

In many cases, the result of a road traffic accident can be described with more than one response variable. Nonetheless, most of the existing road accident data analysis deal with only one response variable and try to explain why it occurs. In this paper, we train association rules for a set of three response variables (severity levels of accidents, body area of attack, and injury mode) conditional on personal, environmental and behavioral aspects of accident. The results derived at 5% support and 50% confidence from the 1996 data of three police stations in Korea are as follows : (1) Fatal accident (death) of fractal head's bone often occurs when a highschool graduate in his thirties has a car alone accident in a densely populated city in a clean night while driving a non-commercial passenger car in normal condition on the straight pavement of no signal. (2) Major injury accident with a head shock likely occurs when a man with protection device is involved in car-to-car accident in a city while driving a non-commercial car on the straight road. (3) Minor injury with neck dislocation sprain oft en occurs when a highschool graduate in his thirties, commercial passenger car is involved in a car-to-car accident on the dry straight road with 13-15m width without a traffic signal in a clean night. We expect that these rules can contribute to effective safety practice in Korea.

애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기> 속 중국과 서구문화의 결합에 대한 연구

In the past decades, under the background of the cultural environment dominated by Westrn civilization in the sorld, with the rapid rise of China's economy and the revival of Chinese culture in recent yesrs, the cultural influence of Chinese art works is gradually increasing. A unmber of cultural and artistic works in which Eastern and Western cultures blened together were born. Objectively speaking, these works can not only be formally loved by the Chinese youth, but also more easily accepted by people from different parts of the world, which is conducive to the spread and promotion of Chinese culture in the world. The animated film <White Snake> at the beginning of 2019 is such a work. The animated film <White Snake> is an animated masterpiece that absorbs the useful experience of animation creation in China in recent years and has relatively strong creative resources, and is of great significance in terms of culture. On the one hand, <White Snake> is worthy of recognition in the use of Chinese cultural elements and the quality of works. From <Monkey King: Hero is Back> to <White Snake>, although the progress of Chinese animation has been obvious in recent years, it can be found that these works have been greatly influenced by American animation art. "White Snake" was jointly produced by China Animation Company and American media giant Warner, and it is indeed an exploratory success in the integration of Chinese culture and Western culture in the field of animation. Especially in the integration of Chinese classical myths, Western fantasy literature and American animation art creation forms, it is worthy of full recognition. At the same time, we need to see that the storyline of the anime <White Snake> is adapted from the folklore story <White Snake>, which is a well-known Chinese national legend. It has a very strong Chinese cultural heritage. Therefore, it is very important for Chinese young audiences and the world audience to understand the ancient Chinese legends of <White Snake> and to understand and love Chinese culture. On the one hand, this study analyzes Chinese culture and Western cultural elements from the basic performance of Chinese and Western cultures in the animated film <White Snake>. In particular, it will focus on the analysis of the origin and evolution of the <White Snake> culture in film <White Snake> and the specific performance of American animated art style in the works. On the other hand, the research focuses on the use of deconstructive methods to study and analyze the main artistic features of contemporary American animation, and then demonstrates the integration of Chinese and Western cultures and the main artistic expressions in the process of <White Snake>. Combining the current background of Chinese culture towards the world stage, it expounds the issues that Chinese animation should focus on in the future creation activities. 서구문화가 주도하는 전 세계의 문화적 배경아래, 중국은 경제적으로 문화적으로 괄목할 만한 성장을 이루어냈다. 이에 따라 중국과 서구문화를 결합한 예술 작품이 점점 늘어갔다. 두 문화를 결합한 작품들은 형식적인 측면에서도 중국 젊은이들의 이목을 이끌었고, 또한 전 세계 각 지역 사람들이 부담 없이 접할 수 있어 중국문화의 전파에 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 2019년 초에 상영된 애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기(白蛇: 緣起,2019년)>는 바로 이러한 작품이다. <백사: 연기>는 다년간 다져온 중국 애니메이션 업계의 경험을 토대로, 중국 애니메이션 회사가 미국 미디어계의 큰 손인 워너사와 협업하여 제작된 애니메이션 대작이다.<백사: 연기>는 중국 애니메이션 회사와 미국 미디어계의 큰 손인 워너사가 협업하여 제작되었다. 애니메이션계에서 중국문화와 서구문화를 대담하게 결합했다는 측면에서 큰 의의를 지닌 작품이기도 하다. 특히 중국의 고전신화와 전설에 뿌리를 두면서도, 서구문화의 캐릭터 디자인, 유머 방식 등을 가미하여 중국의 민간신화 <백사전>을 알리고, 중국문화에 대해 호감을 가지게 하는 데에 있어 긍정적인 역할을 하고 있다. 본 연구는 애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기>에서의 기본적인 표현방식의 차이을 착안점으로 하여, 특히 <백사전> 문화의 근원과 변천사, 그리고 미국 애니메이션 제작 스타일의 작품에서의 구체적인 구현 점을 통해 중국문화와 서구문화의 문화적 요소를 분석하였다.

생산성 제고를 위한 효율적 작업관리정책

We consider in this paper an item whose imperfectness along with its degree and whose order of manufacturing are able to be recorded. Based on the data collected from the manufacturing process up to the final inspection step a manufacturing policy making process for the enhancement of the productivity is suggested through determining the optimal working and break period. The model applied in this paper is derived by modifying a periodic imperfect preventive maintenance(PM) model incorporates the degree of imperfectness as the number of shocks and induced the failure rate from the nonhomo- geneous Poisson model. We show the analyzing process of maximum likelihood estimation step and cost function minimization step with respect to the working schedule and the optimal working policy suggestion step through the simulated data. 본 논문에서는 생산라인에서 연속적으로 생산되는 제품의 불량여부와 불량정도를 나타내는 값이 자료로 획득되었을 때, 생산성 제고를 위한 작업관리 정책수립을 위한 모형의 제안 및 정책수립과정을 토의한다. 정책도구로는 1회 작업시간과 휴식시간 설정 등을 고려한다. 이 논문에서 제안하는 모형은 일반적으로 기계나 설비 같은 경우에 최소 수리를 통하여 안정적 운영을 도모하기 위하여 개발된 주기적 예방보전에 사용된 모형에 불량정도를 주어진 생산기간 내에 발생한 충격횟수로 모형화하고 비동질성 포아송 과정으로부터 불량률을 유도한다. 또한 자료로부터 정책 수립에 요구되는 모수를 최대우도 추정법을 이용하여 추정하고 추정된 모수로부터 1회 작업시간과 휴식시간에 따라 발생하는 손실을 계산하여 이를 최소화하는 1회 작업시간과 휴식시간을 정책으로 제안한다. 이 모든 과정을 실제자료와 유사한 모의자료를 통하여 보인다.

Micro-crack detection in heterogeneously textured surface of polycrystalline solar cell

A seam carving based micro-crack detection method is proposed which aims at detecting the micro-crack regions in heterogeneously textured surface of polycrystalline solar cells. By calculating the seam which is a connected path of low energy pixels in the image, the micro-crack regions can be detected. Experimental results show that the proposed seam carving based micro-crack detection method has superior efficiency in detecting the micro-crack without background noise pixels and the algorithm's computation time is less than the conventional algorithm.

SD 모형을 이용한 한국 방위산업의 동태성 연구

세계 각 국은 자국의 이익을 보장하기 위해 방위산업의 기반을 강화하고 있고 갈수록 첨단무기체계를 도입 및 개발하고 있는 추세이다. 왜냐하면 방위산업은 평화와 군비경쟁이 공존하는 ``균형속의 대결`` 양상을 보이는 환경에서 자국의 생존을 위한 중요한 변수이기 때문이다. 한국의 방위산업도 1970년대 이후 괄목할 만한 성장을 이루었으나 구조적인 문제점을 탈피하지 못하였고 이제는 한계점에 도달하였다. 많은 방위산업 분야 전문가들은 현 시점에서 한국 방위산업의 발전과 활성화를 위한 방안들을 제시하였고, 정부에서도 자주국방의 기치 아래 다양한 개혁과 정책을 추구하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 전문가 제시 내용과 연구 논문들은 방위산업의 대해 제한적으로 정성적인 분석과 대안제시에 국한되어 있는 수준이고 시스템 사고를 통해 인과관계를 분석하여 정책적인 대안을 제시하는 부분이 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구 논문에서는 방위산업의 전반적인 핵심요인을 식별하고 각 요인들간의 인과관계를 분석하여 한국 방위산업의 인과지도를 제시하였고 이를 통해 구조적인 문제점들을 해결하여 21세기 협력적 자주국방이 가능하도록 정책적인 대안을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 향후 복잡성이 가속화되는 방위산업에서 시스템적 사고를 이해하는데 기여가 될 것이고, 정책을 결정하고 추진하는 의사결정자와 무기체계 획득업무를 담당하는 실무자들에게 반드시 시스템적인 사고에 바탕을 둔 피드백 루프를 고려해야 한다는 것을 인식시킬 수 있을 것이다. 아울러 한국 방위산업의 활성화와 발전에 기여하리라 믿는다.
