        The purpose of this study is to find the transition and adjustment improvement of administrative region in Cheonju City and Cheongwon County. In order to achieve the purpose, the procedures of study are below. 1. The character and the reorganisation of administrative region . 2. The transition of administrative region in Cheonju City and Cheongwon County. (1) Before the liberation of the Republic of Korea (2) After the liberation of the Republic of Korea 3. Adjustment improvement of administrative region in Cheonju City and Cheongwon County. (1) Adjustment principles of administrative region (2) Adjustment problems of administrative region in Cheonju City and Cheongwon County. (3) Adjustment improvements of administrative region in Cheongju City. (4) Adjustment improvements of administrative region in Cheongwon County. In conclusion, the administrative region of Cheonju City and Cheongwon County must be integrated and reorganised in order to adjust the efficency of inhabitant life space and administration.

      • 충청북도 중부지방의 풍수지리 고찰

        This paper is to consider the characteristics of Pungsu Chiri(풍수지리) in central area of Chungbuk Province. In order to achieve this purpose, the author analyses Pungsu Chiri such as Myongdang(명당), Bibo(비보), Gumgi(금기), Danmeck(단맥) by the tales of Punsu Chiri and bibliographies of place names in central area such as Eumsung county, Jinchun country and Guesun country of Chungbuk Province. The results of this study are as below: 1. Myongdang Pungsu Chiri (1) Pungsu Chiri belivers think that there are 5 Eumteck(음택) Myongdangs in Eumsung country, 6 Eumteck Myongdangs in Jinchun country and 3 Eumteck Myongdangs in Guesun county. The places of 6 Eumteck Myongdangs in Jinchun country and 2 Eumteck Myongdangs in Guesun county were identified in respect to a favorable change in fortune. (2) Pungsu Chiri belivers think that there are the places of 9 Yongteck(앵택) Myongdangs in Eumsung county, 5 Yongteck Myongdang in Jinchun county and 2 Yongteck Myongdang in Guesun county. The Yongteck Myongdangs are lesser than Eumteck Myongdangs because of the lack of Pungsu Chiri books in Chosun dynasy and Sojugillhewung(소주길흉) theory in Pungsu Chiri. 2. Bibo Pungsu Chiri (1) There are the example tales of Bibo Pungsu Chiri such as the 10 cases of Eumsung county, the 12 cases in Jinchun county and the 6 cases of Guesan county in central area. (2) There are Bibo kinds such as rename, festival, founding of well, pond, forest, hall, market, mountain, tower, founding and orientation of tortoise stone, destruction of burial, construction of red dog stone, beating drum, beating waist of Buddha image and overturning Buddha image, ect. 3. Gumgi Pungsu Chiri (1) There are the example tales of Gumgi Pungsu Chiri such as the 3 cases of Eumsung county, the 9 cases in Jinchun country and the 9cases of Guesan county in central area. (2) There are Gumgi kinds are such as cutting burial grass, dog sound, destructing and constructing burial, beating and destructing rock. secret burial, founding mountain, orientating tortoise stone, seeing stream and river, ect. 4. Danmeck Pungsu Chiri (1) There are the example tales of Danmeck Pungsu Chiri such as the 1 case of Eumsugn county, the 5 cases in Jinchun county and the 4 cases of Guesan county in central area. (2) There are Dammeck kinds such as cutting rock and Buddha image, destructing good earth, mountains and mountains pass, ect.

      • 중원문화권의 문화관광 상품과 축제개발의 차별화 방안

        This paper is to clarify differential development strategy of cultural tourism commodities and regional festivals in Jun-Won cultural region. To achieve this aim, the researches are as below: (1) A differential development strategy of cultural tourism commodity: (a) A development strategy of subject matters making cultural tourism commodity of high quality. (b) A development strategy of folk craftwork commodity. (c) A development strategy of folk menu. (2) Improvements of development strategy of regional festivals of 10 sub-regions in Jun-Won cultural region. (3) A differential development strategy of regional festivals in Jun-Won cultural region: (a) folk festival, (b) Comprehensive cultural art festival, (c) modem art festival. (d) agricultural commodity festival. The conclusions of research are as below: According to cultural characteristics, Jung-Won cultural region are divided 10 sub-regions. The cultural images as core symbols in these regions are below: (1) Chungju: historical and cultural region(stone pagoda of Tap-Pungri), (2) Zechun:cultural region of the righteous soldiers(captain Yu, In-Suk), (3) Dunyang: cultural region of Gogurue(mountain castle of On-Dal), (4) Chongju: educational and cultural region(Zikzi and Chull Dandgan), (5) Boeun: cultural region of buddhism(Bupzoo temple,) (6) Okchun: cultural region of Silla and Bakje(war of Silla and Bakje), (7) Yongdong: cultural region of three provinces(harmony monument stone of Samdobong), (8) Eumsung: cultural region of scholar spirit(Monument of 6. 25 war), (9). Goessan: cultural region of confucianism(confucianist Song, Shi-Reull), (10) Zinchun: cultural region of Sam-Guk unification spirit(General Kim, You-Shin). Therefore, it must be highlighted cultural images as core symbols to differentiate development strategy for the production of the cultural commodity and festivals.

      • 1980년대 이후의 미국 지리교육의 개선방안

        The purposes of this paper are to grasp the reformations of school geography education in the United States of America since 1980s. To achieve this purposes, the following bibliographies is mainly studied: (1) 「Guidelines for Geography Education: Primary and Secondary Schools」, (2) 「K-6 Geography」 and 「7-12 Geography」, (3) 「Geography for Life: National Geography Standards」, (4) Geography Instructional Materials for Standards-Based Education, (5) 「A Scope and Sequence in Geographic Education, Grade k-12」. The published times of these bibliographies showed the reformation stages of school geography education in the United States of America since 1980s. The results of study content are as below: (1) 「Guidelines for Geography Education: Primary and Secondary Schools」 : Association American Geographers and National Council for Social Studies published 「Guidelines for Geography Education: Primary and Secondary Schools」 in 1984. The Guidelines dictated five geographic fundamental themes(location, place, relationship within places, movement, region) and skills(asking geographic questions, acquiring geographic information, presenting geographic information, analysing geographic information, developing and testing geographic generalizations) and scope and sequences in K-12 geography. The Guidelines initiated a decade of progress and reform in geographic education. (2) 「K-6 Geography」 and 「7-12 Geography」 : The Joint Committee on American Geographical Society and National Education Society developed 「Geography Education National Implementation Project」 in 1985 and published 「K-6 Geography」 in 1987 and 「7-12 Geography」 in 1988. 「K-6 Geography」 presented themes, key ideas, and learning opportunity on K-6 Geography and 「7-12 Geography」 presented them on Geography of United States of America and World Geography, and population Geography. (3) 「Geography for Life: National Geography Standards」 : American Geographical Society, Association of American Geographers, National Council for Social Studies, and National Geographical Society developed Geographical Education Standards Project in1994. Geography contents Standards, embodied in six Essentials, distill the indispensable knowledge a geographical informed person must understand and be able to use as a result of K-12 education. Each essential element encompasses two or more standards that further refine and amplify each element. The Essential Elements thereby integrate the content of geography with a set of geographic skills and essential perspective from which people view the world, The Essential Elements are: (1) Seeing world in Spatial terms, (2) Places and Regions; (3) Physical Systems; (4) Human Systems: (5) Environment and Society; and (6) Applying Geography. (4) 「A Scope and Sequence in Geographic Education, Grade k-12」 : In 1999, a proposal was developed by the Gilbert M. Grosvenor Center for Geographic Education and submitted to National Geographic Society Education Foundation to prepare "A Scope and Sequence in Geographic Education, Grade k-12". The project goals included production of three deliverable: (ⅰ) A content-specific scope and sequence in geographic education, grade K-12. This included a matrix organized by grade cluster and by the six essential elements from Geography for Life. (ⅱ) An educator's guide to standards-based K-12 geography. A teacher-friendly guidebook keyed to the content items from the scope and sequence matrix. (ⅲ) A colorful poster illustrating several of the content-focus items of the scope and sequence matrix, along with some of the broad learning objectives from the educator's guide. (5) Significant instructional Materials for Standards-Based Education: The Significant instructional Materials for Standards-Based Education are as following: 「Around the World Program」, 「Activities and Readings on the Geography of the United States: ARGUS」, 「Geographic Inquiry into Global Issues: GIGI)」, 「Minnesota FIPSE Project-Geolinks)」. These instructional Materials based Standards of Geography Education.

        The purposes of this paper are to consider landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri(풍수지형의 유형과 풍수지명) in chongju Area of Chungbuk Province. In order to this pupose, the author analyse the landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri in Chongju Area such as Chongju City and Chungwon County of Chungbuk Province. The results of this study are as below: 1. Landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri: 1) Landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri as symbols of pseudo human beings: lady(1); scattered hairs of lady(1); knight(2); armchaired genera(1); old woman(2). 2) Landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri as symbols of pseudo animals: (1) Landform patterns and place names of Pungsu Chiri as symbols of imaginary animals: ① Important landform patterns of Pungsu Chiri: dragon(14); phoenix(2). ② Important place name symbols of Pungsu Chiri: dragon(41); symbols of phoenix(4).       • 충북 보은군 지역의 풍수지리 고찰

        본 연구는 충북 보은군 지역의 속리산 승지, 양택풍수와 음택풍수 등의 명당풍수, 풍수지형의 유형, 비보풍수, 단맥풍수 등을 고찰하여 한국인의 풍수적 자연관을 파악하는 것이다. 보은군 속리산 일대는 「우복명당」이 있고 『정감록』에서는 「10승지」의 하나로 꼽고 있으며 이중환의 『택리지』에서도 「가거지」와 「피병지」 등으로 열거하고 있어 풍수를 신봉하는 사람들은 「길지」로 인식하였다. 보은군 지역에 있는 3개의 양택명당의 지명은 명당풍수 설화를 반영하고 있다. 또한 보은군 지역에는 8개의 음택명당이 있다고 믿고 있지만 실제 묘지로 사용된 경우는 단지 2개소에 불과하다. 보은군 지역에는 총 14개의 풍수지형 유형이 있고 풍수 신봉자들은 지형을 의인화, 의동물화, 의식물화, 의물화하여 주술적인 힘을 가진 신비한 존재로 인식하였지만 다치기 쉽고 나름대로 제약성을 지니고 있는 것으로 믿었다. 보은군 지역에는 9개의 비보풍수 설화가 있는데 풍수 신봉자들은 실제로 명당을 찾기 힘드므로 시설, 지명, 염승, 금기, 의식 등의 비보를 통하여 인위적으로 지역을 명당화하였다. 또한 보은군 지역에는 9개의 단맥풍수 설화가 있는데 풍수 신봉자들은 단맥으로 지기가 끊어지면 지방이나 집안이 쇠퇴한다고 믿었다. This paper is to consider the natural view of korean in respect to Pungsu Chiri. In order to this purpose, the author analyse Pungsu Chiri(풍수지리) such as Myongdang(명당), Bibo(비보), Danmeck(단맥) by the tales of Punsu Chiri and bibliographies of place names in Boeun County. The results of this study are as below: 1. Myongdang (1) The Pungsu Chiri believers saw that there are the Myongdangs of ox abdomen(우복명당) and identified the specific place of these Myongdangs in Sock-Ri mountain area. (2) They believed that the important Yongteck(양택) Myongdangs are Bibong-Ri in Weahsock-Ri Myon, Gusung valley of Yoho-Ri in Waenam Myon, Wongja valley of Soge-Ri in Suhan Myon and the place names of these Myongdangs reflected Pungsu Chiri. (3) They believed that there are eight Eumteck(음택) Myongdangs and two places of these Myongdangs was used in Boeun County. (4) They believed that the landform patterns of Punsu Chiri are fourteen types in Boeun County. They saw these landform patterns as pseudo-human beings, pseudo- animals, pseudo-plants, pseudo-materials and thought that these landform patterns have incantation powers and restrictions. 2. Bobo The eight places have the example tales of Bibo Pungsu Chiri(establishment-3; placename-2; Eeuhumsung(염승)-1; taboo-2; sacrifice-1) in Boeun County. 3. Danmeck The nine places have the example tales of Danmeck Pungsu Chiri(hill-3; rock-2; mountain-1; landform-1; tree-1; hole-1) in Boeun County.
