      • 민족전통 정립을 위한 ' 효사상(孝思想) ' 과 현대사회학

        We can say that the old age society is one of the modem developted country's characters, In the most industrial society on the capitalism, the enterprises are pursue to the labour efficiency, and then want to more powerful, more active and more useful workers. Then the older worker who is less powerful, less active and less useful than the younger should be dismissed from their post. But today in the developed county, the material prosperity and medical development make the people to be alive longer and more health than yesterday. The old workers, who is still health physically and psychologically but lost their job, is increasing more and more. The government supports them, but they are still unhappy and weak psychologically. Because they feel alinate from their own world. They want the kinship love which government couldn't supply. It can be supplied by their family only. To solve these problems, common welfare policy is at the limits. We will face these problems in the way of going to welfare society. To keep off these problem, we have to develope new methode of the welfare for the old aged people. Fortunatly, we have good traditional thought called 'Hyo' which is a kind of son's love for their parents. It is a typical character of oriental traditional thought. But it should be based on the sacrifice of family members. In order to go to developed country, this sacrifice is too expensive to endure. If the goverment would force family members to endure this sacrifice without concreat compensation but only the abstract praise, we meet the family destruction such as the dereliction of old parents. To prevent this tradigy, welfare policy for old people must supply the concreat and practical interest to the families which look after their old parents. 'Hyo' can't be more the ideal abstract good, but must become a practical concreat interest. 'Hyo' is not more individual good, but duty which have to be perfomed by family and goverment. This arcticle is just one of opinions for this possibility.

      • 양방향 곡선 전개를 이용한 형태 추출

        Iterative curve evolution techniques are powerful methods for image segmentation. In this paper, we present a now geometric active contour model based on level set methods introduced by Osher & Sethian for detection of object boundaries or shape. We adopt sigma filtering method for removing noise from original image. Classical methods allow only one-way curve evolutions : shrinking or expanding of the curve. Thus, the initial curve must encircle all the objects to be segmented or several curves must be used, each one totally inside one object. But our method allows a two-way curve evolution : parts of the curve evolve in the outward direction while others evolve in the inward direction. It offers much more freedom in the initial curve position than with a classical geodesic search method. Our algorithm performs accurate and precise segmentations from noisy images with complex objects(including sharp angles, deep concavities or holes). Besides it easily handled curve topology changes. In order to minimize the processing time, we use the narrow band method which allows us to perform calculations in the neighborhood of the contour and not in the whole image.

        Helixor A는 시험관 내에서 thrombospondin-1의 상승조절을 통해 신혈관생성을 억제한다.

        Thrombospondin-1은 암성장과 신혈관생성 억제조절인자로 병리학적 조건과 세포외에서의 자극에 의해 세포 특이적으로 조절되어지고 이 TSP-1 유전자 발현조절은 암치료제 개발을 위한 새로운 접근으로 중요하다. Mistletoe는 기생식물로 면역조절과 항암제로 사용되어지고 있다. Helixor A는 mistletoe 추출물의 수용액부분이다. 여기서 우리는 Helixor A를 투여하면 간암세포주 (Hep3B)와 혈관내피세포주 (BAE)에서 TSP-1의 mRWA와 단백질 발현이 유도되는 것을 관찰하였다. TSP-1 promoter 활성분석으로 TSP-1유전자의 발현이 Helixor A에 의해 전사단계에서 조절되어 진다는 것을 확인하였다. 세포 침윤 분석에서 Helixor A를 처리한 배지를 두 세포주에 처리함으로 침윤된 세포의 수가 현저하게 줄어드는 것을 관찰하였고, Matrigel에서 혈관 내피 세포 (BAE)의 모세관 형성을 억제하는 것을 관찰하였다. 또한 세포 침윤과 모세관 형성에서 Helixor A를 처리했던 배지의 억제 효과가 TSP-1 중화 항체에 의해 그 효과가 상실되었다. 그러므로, 이 결과는 TSP-1이 Helixor A에 의해 유도되어진 혈관신생 억제 효과에 연관이 있음을 제시하였다. 이러한 결과를 종합 하였을 때 Helixor A가 TSP-1의 상승조절을 통해 혈관신생 억제 효과를 가질 것이라고 생각된다. Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1), a negative regulator in tumor growth and angiogenesis, is cell-type specifically regulated under pathological conditions or by extracellular stimuli, and the regulation of TSP-1 gene expression is important for developing new approaches in tumor therapy. Mistletoe is a parasitir plant that have been used for immunomodulation and antitumor therapy. Helixor A is an aqueous part of mistletoes extract. Here we showed that TSP-1 expression was significantly induced at both mRNA and protein levels in the Hepatocarcinorna cell line (Hep3B) and primary bovine endothelial cell line (BAE) exposed to Helixor A. Our promoter analysis confirmed that the expression of TSP-1 gene was regulated by Helixor A at the transcriptional level. In cell invasion assay, the conditioned media obtained from treatment of these cells significantly reduced the number of invasive cells and also inhibited capillary-like tube formation of BAE cells on Matrigel. Moreover, the inhibitory efforts of the conditioned media on cell invasion and tube formation were reversed by blocking with anti-TSP-1 neutralizing antibodies, suggesting that TSP-1 is involved in Helixor A-indured antiangiogenic effect. Taken together, our results suggest that Helixor A have an antiangiogenic effects through upregulation of TSP-1.

        This paper investigated the problem of image modeling segmentation using random field models. The paper presented the MLL(multi-level-logistic) model which are commonly used in image processing, and the characteristics of this model were examined. For image segmentation, a doubly stochastic or hierarchical model was presented and applied to the segmentation of noisy images and textured images. Finally this paper investigated the problem of phase transition phenomena appearing in the random field model-based image processing. The phase transition problem makes it difficult to realize images which consist of moderate-to-large scale regions.

      • GHA 기반의 홍채 인식 시스템에 관한 연구

        본 논문은 Biometrics분야 중 다른 생체학적 특징보다도 정확도면에서 가장 뛰어난 특징인 안구의 홍채 패턴을 이용하여 사용자를 인증 하는 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 입력된 안구 영상으로부터 전처리 과정을 거쳐 극좌표 변환을 통해 홍채 패턴을 추출한 후 웨이블릿 변환을 이용하여 특징패턴을 압축하였으며, PCA(Principal Component Analysis:주성분 해석)의 한 종류인 GHA(Generalized Hebbian Algorithm)를 사용하여 등록된 사용자의 패턴 DB에서 Basis 배열을 추출하고, 구축된 Basis 배열과 입력 영상 패턴과의 비교 Matching을 통하여 사용자를 인증하는 시스템을 제안한다.
