The distribution and occurrence of Charybdis japonica larvae were investigated off Yeonpyong-do, Korea, in the Yellow Sea. C. japonica larvae were collected monthly at 15 stations from early June to late October in 2006 and 2007. At each station, a Bongo net with 303 and 505μm mesh was deployed once with a double oblique tow. No larvae were caught in June, in both years. Zoea I was predominant in late July in 2006 and early August in 2007, whereas Zoea I accounted for 84% of all larvae collected and no larval stages later than Zoea III were sampled. Megalopa were the most abundant larval stage at all stations in late August in both years. The timing of larval hatching of C. japonica may be related to that of phytoplankton blooms in the study area. The finding that Zoea I and Megalopa were predominant in the study are may indicate that C. charybdis larvae are carried by advection.
한국 근해안강망어업의 조석에 따른 주간 어황변동 추세 분석

조류의 강세에 의존하여 조업이 이루어지는 근해안 강망어업의 어황이 조석에 따라 어떻게 변동하는지를 연구하기 위하여 1994년부터 1996년까지 주간 어획량, 조업척수, 척당어획량의 자료를 판매량이 증가하는 조금 전후와 그 반대의 현상이 나타나는 사리 등으로 구분하여 시계열분석기벅으로 장기변동추세를 분석하였다. 단계별 구분에 따른 어획량에 대한 분석결과, 3단계 구분에서 전체적으로 모형의 적합도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 3단계로 구분한 경우의 어획량은 조금에 (1-0.6891B+2.1168B²)(1-B)Z₁=(1-0.9730B)a_(?) 사리에 Z_(t)=(1+0.41659B)a_(t₁) 중간물에 (1+1.38253B+0.63391B²)Z₁-(1+1.15390B+0.64547B²)Z₁-(1+1.15390B+0.64547B²)a_(t)로 표현되었으며, 조업척수는 조금에 (1-0.19699B)Z₁=(1-0.66259B)a_(t?) 사리에 (1+0.45672B)Z₁=1+0.006094B)a_(t?) 중간물에(1.0.74814B) Z₁=((1-0.21476b)a_(t)로 표현되었다. 척당어획량은 조금에 (1-0.54709B+0.26967B^(6))Z_(t)=a_(t₁) 사리에 (1-0.26622B-0.28067B^(6))(1+0.45081B^(8))Z_(t)=(I+0.21652B^(15))a 중간물에 (1-0.23881B-0.10487B^(5))Z_(t)=a_(t)로 나타낼 수 있었다. Z_(t)는 시간 t에서의 어획량, 조업척수, 척당 어획량을 나타낸다. B는 후향연산자 로서 ㅇ?P를 들면 B^(d)를 Z_(t)에 작용시키면 Z_(t-d)이 된다. The prediction error by the Box-Cox transformation on weekly landings, number of operating boats and CPUB of stow net in Korea were less than that by the Iogarithmic transformation.
Two New Records of Sepia (Doratosepion) kobiensis Holye, 1885 and S. tokioensis Ortmann, 1888

The true cuttlefishes genus Sepia (Doratosepion) Linn, 1758, characterized by shell thick, entirely calcareous, shell almost as long as mantle, was collected from the costal of Dong-Am, Busan, Korea in April, 2004.The specimen agreed closely with description of Sepia (Doratosepion) kobiensis Hoyle, 1885 and S. tokioensis Ortmann, 1888. We herein described the species, being as the first record of S. kobiensis and tokioensis from the region. New Korean names are also provided.
1999-2001년 오터트롤에 채집된 황해 동부해역의 어류상

Fish fauna in the eastern Yellow Sea was determined using samples collected by an otter trawl from September 1999 to November 2001. The fish consisted of 97 species belonging to 80genera and 50 families. The major taxa were the Perciformes (40 spp.), Pleuronectiformes (17 spp.),Scorpaeniformes (11 spp.) and Clupeiformes (10 spp.). Larimichthys polyactis, Engraulis japonicus,Liparis tanakai, Pampus echinogaster, Lophius lituron and Collichthys niveatus were predominated in abundance in the study area. The composition of the fish fauna has changed during the last three decades.
