It is not so old that the compulsory retirement system is introduced to the Korean enterprises, but now almost 90 percentages of them are bringing this system into practice. The employees are obliged to retire at 55 in Korean enterprises, but at 60 to 65 in the developed nations. Recently, the average life span of Korean has been extended considerably, and the workable retied employees under this system are becoming a social problem in terms of social welfare or waste of useful man-power. Since 1978, it was said that the compulaory retirement age of employees in Korean enterprises should be extended to 60 to 65 at least, but most of managers denied this proposal for the reason that if the age is extended as they ask, there will occur such problems as personnal stagnation, the increases of retirement allowances, the drop in efficiency of aged employees and the imcrease of labor cost by long service of employees in the enterprises. On the contrary, the social opinions insist that the present age limit should be extended not many years at one time but gradually or step by step. The writer supports the latter also and thinks that other systems like the Job Security Institute for retired employees, the part-time system, the national welfare pension system and the company pension system, should be introduced in order to use practically the workable aged employee after they retire from enterprises. Originally, the problem like the extention of age limit should be solved between employee and employer or labor and management, but now the government should support them by making relative laws or taking others actions needed. In this theses, the wirter studies the theosetical background of compulsory retirement system in Chapter Ⅱ, the trends of this system in other countries in Chapter Ⅲ, the running states of this system in Korean enterprises in Chapter Ⅳ, and the improvement directions of this system in Korean enterprises in Chapter Ⅴ and concludes in Chapter Ⅵ.

Nowadays, to change our country into advanced economy, the factor of growth obstacles was to be eliminated, or it is so important that the logistics base establishment enlarges to improve potential productivity. The best strategy to enforce the competition power is that we should be ready for some condition which can do cooperations and association very well. Also it is necessary for actors, government, firm and logistics field, to part their role. The national effort that firm supported by government and community participates in is reduced to achieve rational logistics system because logistics is complicate action flowing to final consumer. That is, self effort is needed for logistics competition system, adjustable arrangement of logistics field, the establishment of comprehensive informations system, logistics rationalization.
