Transmission delay and packet loss induced by a communication network can degrade the control performance and, even make the system unstable. This paper presents a method for compensating transmission delay and packet loss in a networked control system for unmanned underwater vehicle. The proposed method is based on Lagrange interpolation in order to satisfy the requirements of simplicity and model-independency. In this work, the lost/delayed data are estimated in real time by only using the past data without requiring any mathematical model of the controlled system. Consequently, the proposed method can be implemented independent of the controlled system, and also it can achieve fast and accurate compensation performance. The performance of the proposed technique is evaluated by numerical simulations with an unmanned underwater vehicle.
국가표준향상과 핵심국제비교를 위한 물의 삼중점 온도 측정

The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), a National Metrology Institute of Korea, participated in the secondround of the international key comparison CCT-K7.2021 of triple point of water (TPW) cells. For the key comparison, three TPW cells, one of which had been used in the old CCT-K7 comparison, were assigned as the national standard of the TPW. The temperature difference (ΔT) between the average of the new and old national standards and ΔT between the new national standard and the transfer standard were measured. The comparison between the new and old national standards indicated a temperature increase of 69.5 μK after both the standards were corrected for the isotopic composition. The uncertainty of the national standard of the TPW temperature was 28 μK, and the uncertainty of ΔT was 14 μK. Three aspects of improvements in the new comparison compared to the old one were noted: (1) inclusion of two quartz cells in the national standard strengthens its long-term stability; (2) the standard deviation associated with the measurement of ΔT was reduced from 21 μK to 9.6 μK; (3) and the measured immersion profile of the TPW cells was much closer to the theoretically predicted dependence.

In this paper, the methodology of a CA (Control Allocation) based FTNCS (Fault-Tolerant Networked Control System) is proposed. Control allocation is a control surface management technique by redistributing the redundant control surfaces in over-actuated systems. In modern high performance aircrafts, they adopt many redundant control surfaces to provide high performance and to satisfy various tactical requirements. Moreover, redundant control surfaces provide an opportunity to compensate performance degradation due to failures in more than one actuator by re-allocating redundant control surfaces. Simulation results with an F-18 HARV demonstrate that the proposed CA based FTNCS can achieve a fast and accurate tracking performance even in the presence of actuator faults.

This paper presents a failure diagnosis and accommodation strategy which is capable of tolerating faulty actuators of a submersible vehicle. The proposed method is mainly based on a sliding mode control technique. The primary ideas include a performance index to describe the effectiveness of actuators, and a controller reconfiguration strategy using the actuator effectiveness index. The actuator effectiveness proposed in this work is defined as the relationship between the sliding surface and the controlled system behavior. The resulting actuator effectiveness is then used in reconfiguring the controller in order to counteract for the deteriorated control performance in the presence of a faulty actuator. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by means of numerical simulations with a submersible vehicle.

In this paper, a technique for compensating network-induced time delay and packet loss in a networked control system is proposed. The proposed method exploits the Lagrange polynomial interpolation to compensate lost data while transmitting. Since the proposed approach only requires the input data without using any mathematical models, it can be implemented as an independent network device. Numerical simulation results with application to a Steer-by-Wire system demonstrate a fast and accurate tracking performance.
지능형 전력량계 SW의 안전한 배포 및 업그레이드를 위한 스마트카드 기반 보안 메커니즘에 대한 연구

최근 지능형 전력망 사업에서 가장 큰 이슈로 부각되고 있는 것이 지능형 전력량계의 보안과 미래 기능을 만족하기 위한 SW 업그레이드 기능이다. 그러나, 일반 기기와 달리 법정계량기에 속하는 지능형 전력량계는 공정한 상거래기반의 확립을 위해 그 기능 및 변경이 법으로 엄격히 제한되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지능형 전력량계의 SW업그레이드와 관련된 요구사항을 분석하여, 법정 계량기 요건에 준한 미래 지능형전력량계의 기능 개선을 위해 배포되는 SW이미지에 대한 인증을 통한 배포방안을 제시하고, 스마트 카드를 이용한 지능형 전력량계의 보안기능을 구현하는 방법을 제안한다. Latest in Smart Grid projects are emerging as the biggest issue that smart meter should meet the security goal and the SW upgrade for compliance with future standard. However, unlike regular equipment, Smart meters should be designed in accordance with the regulation of legal metrology instrument in order to establish a fair trade-based business and unauthorized changes, it is not allowed and it is strictly limited by law. Therefore, this paper propose a new scheme of certification regarding type approval and verification for legal smart meter as analyzing the requirements of a smart meter regarding upgrade and security. This analysis shows that the proposed scheme comply with the regulation and the specification of smart meter by applying it to smart meter with smart card.
