Purpose: The study examined the effects of time pressure and nursing work environment on patient safety care activities of hospital nurses. Methods: The participants were 86 allied general hospitals. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS program. Result: Patient safety care activities differed significantly by age(p=.007), marital status(p=.003). Statistically significant positive relationships was observed between nursing work environment(r=.29) and patient safety care activities. A total of 14.1% of patient safety care activities was explained by nursing work environment. Conclusion: These results can be used to develop nurses' education programs to improve patient safety care competence, with consideration for age, marital status and nursing work environment.

urpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between ego resilience, family resilience, and the perception of successful aging in nursing students; additionally, specific factors relating to the perception of successful aging were identified. Methods: The participants comprised 154 nursing students. Data were collected through the administration of self-reported questionnaires. Data analysis was then performed utilizing a t-test, an ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and a multiple regression analysis. Results: Family resilience differed significantly based on the type of residence (p=.020) (i.e., living with grandparents (p=.048)). Perception of successful aging differed significantly based on grade (p<.001). The perception of successful aging showed a positive correlation relative to mode of communication and organizational pattern. The mode of communication accounted for 4.7% of perception of successful aging. Conclusion: The significance of the study on the importance of mode of communication was confirmed by identifying the effects of the perception of successful aging. Nursing students may actively cope with crises through communication; thus, successfully recognizing aging in order to lead a healthy life. Furthermore, having a high perception of successful aging while treating an increasing number of elderly patients at the clinical practice is believed to have a positive effect on patient care.

Purpose: In this study, the relationship between self-leadership, stress, and satisfaction among nursing students in clinical practice was examined. Method: The participants were 273 nursing students. Data collected from September to December 2010 were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean scores for self-leadership (3.72±.41), stress (3.45±.59), and satisfaction (3.11±.38) in clinical practice were above average. Self-leadership was significantly different according to year, interpersonal relationships, and satisfaction with nursing as a major. Stress in clinical practice was significantly different according to gender, year, and health status. Satisfaction in clinical practice was significantly different according to year, interpersonal relationships, and satisfaction with nursing as a major. Significant correlations were found between self-leadership and satisfaction in clinical practice, and stress and satisfaction in clinical practice. Year, self-leadership, interpersonal relationships, and stress in clinical practice were factors influencing satisfaction in clinical practice (20.0%). Conclusion: These findings indicate that there is a need to improve self-leadership, and to lessen stress in clinical practice to improve nursing students' satisfaction with clinical practice. The above-mentioned results should be reflected in the development of effective teaching methods for clinical practice.

Purpose: This study was to identify effect of nursing organizational culture on job satisfaction of preceptors. Method: The subjects were 73 preceptors who were working for the 4 of university hospitals in Seoul, Daejeon and Kyong Ki. This study was conducted from Aug to Oct 2005. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression. Result: Job satisfaction of preceptors were significantly correlated among nursing organizational culture. The stepwise multiple regression analysis on job satisfaction revealed that nursing organizational culture was a powerful predictor of job satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing organizational culture is important for improving job satisfaction of preceptors. Therefore it is necessary to develop of good nursing organizational culture for successful preceptorship.

The purpose of this study was to examine the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors to identify utility of the preceptorship as career management program. Method: The subjects were 107 clinical nurses who were working in one university hospital composed of the head nurses(n=27), non-preceptors(n=28), new graduate nurses(n=26) and preceptors(n=26). Demographic characteristics, core competency and career commitment were measured. The core competency was evaluated by the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses, and preceptor themselves. And the career commitment was compared between the preceptors and non-preceptors. For data analyses, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA were adopted with the use of SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study showed that the core competency of the preceptors was evaluated excellently by all subjects. In three domains, there were no significant difference in role model, socialization facillitator and educator except for learning experience planning between the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses and preceptors. The career commitment was significant difference between the preceptors and non-preceptors. Conclusions: The finding above indicated that the preceptorship utilized the improvement of the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors as career management program. therefore, continually, the effort and interest for development of the preceptorship can be a remarkable contribution for nurses' career management in nursing organization.
중고령자의 정서적 행복감과 영적요구가 건강한 노후에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the relationship among emotional happiness, spiritual need, and healthy aging and to identify the factors affecting healthy aging in middle-aged and elderly population. Method: The participants were 100 middle-aged and elderly individuals. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from March 9 to May 27, 2020. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Results: There was a positive correlation between healthy aging and emotional happiness (r=.70, p<.001) and spiritual need (r=.52, p<.001). The factors influencing healthy aging were gender (β=.13, p=.026), subjective health status (β=.19, p=.002), emotional happiness (β=.60, p<.001), and spiritual need (β=.34, p<.001). These variables explained 67% of healthy aging. Conclusion: Healthy aging had a significant impact on women than on men when subjective health status was good and when emotional happiness and spiritual need were high. Healthy aging of the middle-aged and elderly population has confirmed the importance of physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Therefore, development and operation of programs that include various aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual for healthy aging should be considered to confirm their effectiveness.
