유리화 비정형 탄소의 전계방출 거동

Mo이 코팅된 유리기판 상에 전기영동법으로 도포된 유리화 비정형 탄소분말의 전계방출 특성을 조사하였다. 탄소의 sp² 결합만으로 이루어진 유리화 비정형 탄소는 전계방출을 얻기 위한 초기화 공정 없이도 규칙적인 전계방출 거동을 보이고 있었다. 전자의 방출이 시작되는 임계전장의 크기는 3에서 4 MV/m 구간의 값을 가지고 있었으며, Fowler-Nordheim plot으로부터 평가된 effective work function은 약 0.06 eV 였다.<br/> 전류전압거동의 반복측정에 의해 관찰된 바와 같이 전계방출의 안정성 면에서 유리화비정형 탄소는 Si tip보다 우수하였으며, 도포된 전체면적에서 전면발광의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 탄소계 물질에서 관찰되는 전계방출이 탄소의 sp³ 결합과 밀접하게 관련되어 있지 않으며, 전자가 음극물질의 표면으로 이동하는데 필요한 전기전도성, 혹은 기판과 음극물질 계면에서의 전자이동 등이 전계방출의 거동을 결정하는 중요한 요인임을 보여주고 있다. Field emission behavior from vitreous carbon powders deposited on Mo coated glass by electrophoretic method was investigated. Although the vitreous carbon has only sp² hybridized carbon bond, we could observe an excellent field emission behavior. Reproducible electron emission was observed without initiation process which is known to be needed in most carbon cathode materials. Critical electric field for electron emission was in the range from 3 to 4 MV/m. The effective work function was estimated to be about 0.06 eV, as obtained from the slope of Fowler-Nordheim plot. The stability of the emission behavior characterized by repeated I-V measurements, was much superior to the Si tips. We observed the possibility of full area light emission in vitreous carbon materials. This results showed that the field emission is not intimately related to the sp³ hybridization of carbon, but the electrical properties of cathode/electrode interface or the conductivity of the cathode materials which required for the electron transport to the cathode surface.

이야기 구조에서 어떤 주인공과 그것을 방해하는 요소들이 상대항이 되는 것은 필수적이다. 이야기 속에서의 적대자와의 다양한 갈등 상황은 주인공이 성취하고자 하는 바를 명확하고 구체적으로 보여줄 수 있다. 왜냐하면 주인공은 많은 시련들을 거치면서 변화와 좌절을 겪지만, 부단한 노력을 통해서 결국에는 성취하고자 하는 바를 이루게 된다. 이 과정에서 주인공이 욕망하고 지향하고 이룩하고자 하는 바를 확실하게 알 수 있기 때문이다. 여기에서는 드라마 <뿌리깊은 나무>의 이야기 속 에서 나타나는 주인공(세종)과 적대세력간의 갈등관계를 통해 주인공이 소망했던 세계를 재구성해보고자 한다. 이에 나아가 실제 훈민정음의 제자원리를 분석하여 그 속에 내재된 이상도 함께 살펴볼 것이다. 이는 이야기 속 이상과 현실 속 이상 의 결합을 통해 세종이 꿈꿨던 실제 세상을 구성해보는 데 목적이 있다. A certain main character and the hindrance factors becoming oppositions within the story structure is inevitable. Various conflict situations against antagonist within the story can clearly and specifically show what the main character intends to accomplish. The reason for this is because the main character experience changes and setbacks through many trials but ultimately accomplishes what was intended through continuous efforts. It is because what the main character desires, aims and intends to accomplish can be clearly known in this process. This study will recompose the world desired by the main character (Sejeong) through the conflict relation between the main character and the antagonistic forces shown in the story of TV drama "Deeply Rooted Tree". In addition, the principle of Hunminjeong invention will be analyzed to also examine the Utopia contained within. The purpose of this is to compose the actual world dreamt by Sejeong by combing the ideal within the story and the ideal within reality.

팀 버튼의 기묘한 캐릭터 창작에 대한 연구, 애니메이션 <빈센트>에 나타난 우울과 몽상

팀 버튼의 상상력은 그가 어린 시절부터 관심을 가져온 기괴한 캐릭터로부터 초래되었다. 게다가 어린 시절 팀 버튼에게 괴물 영화는 신화나 동화 같은 역할을 했는데, 특히 우울함과 음산함이라는 특징 속에서 글을 쓴 에드거 앨런 포의 소설을 원작으로 한 호러 영화 때문에 그는 일상의 지루함에서 벗어날 수 있었다. 이런 앨런 포의 작품을 원작으로 B급 호러 영화의 대부로 불리는 영화감독 로저 코먼은 8편의 영화를 제작했다. 이 중 7편에 출연한 호러배우 빈센트 프라이스는 팀 버튼이 어린 시절 가장 사랑한 배우였다. 그는 팀 버튼의 첫 단편 애니메이션 <빈센트>의 나레이터를 맡으며 그 작품에 독특한 분위기를 더해주었다. 그래서 로저 코먼, 빈센트 프라이스, 그리고 에드거 앨런 포의 작품에 빠져든 유년시절 팀 버튼은 자연스레 기묘한 분위기의 캐릭터들을 상상할 수 있게 된 것이다. 팀 버튼이 표현한 형상들은 공포영화를 연구한 폴 웰스의 표현을 빌면 앨런 포처럼 "과학적으로 설명할 수 없는 힘에 의해 낯설어지는 세상을 묘사하고 있다. " 그는 우울과 공상이라는 이중적인 감정으로 기존에 구축되어 있는 사회적이고 정신적 질서 안에 억압되어 있는 인간 감성 안에 존재하는 깊은 그 무엇을 표출시키고 있는 것이다. 팀 버튼은 기존에 구축되어 있는 보편적인 삶의 질서에 도전하도록 망상적 상상을 통해 기묘한 캐릭터를 창작한다. 그런데 이런 캐릭터들은 외부 현실을 직접적으로 비판하지 않는다. 오히려 자기 모멸적으로 경악스러우리만큼 괴물화 되어버린 우리의 내면을 드러내줌으로써 간접적인 사회비판을 드러내는 것이다. 정상성에 불안을 야기하는 팀 버튼의 비정상성의 캐릭터들은 보편성에 함몰되지 않는 대신 정상성을 되비쳐보게 하여 그 한계를 확대하는 힘을 보여준다. Film director Tim Burton`s imaginative prowess has been developed through steady drawing and photography of the strange creatures in his youth. Instead of fairy tale stories, monster movies became his favorite hobby. Especially melancholy and gloomy horror films adopted from the works of Edgar Allen Poe was his best escape from the boring reality. Roger Corman, also known as the ``godfather of B horror movies``, made 8 movies based on Poe`s writings. Vincent Price, who starred on 7 of such Corman films, was young Burton`s favorite actor. Corman, Price and Poe provided natural inspirations for Burton`s grim characters. According to Paul Welis, Burton`s monstrous and abnormal characters describe, just like Poe`s, "the world that is becoming more and more unfamiliar by the force that is scientifically unexplainable". Through bilateral emotions of melancholy and fantasy Burton is displaying sensuality that has been suppressed by the existing social and mental order. Burton creates abnormal characters through delusional imagination from challenging the existing social order. However, these characters do not criticize the external reality outright. Rather, his criticism of the society is indirectly achieved through the revelation of our internal monstrous self rooted in our frightening self-loathing. Burton`s abnormal characters bring anxiety to the normalcy, displaying the power to reflect on and extend the limits of the deadening reality.

영화 <아바타>를 계기로 새삼 환기된 아바타에 대한 관심과, 새롭게 등장한 페이스 북이나 트위터에서 나타나는 문자기반으로의 가상 환경의 변화는 아바타에 대한 개념에 대한 재정립을 요청하게 한다. 아바타를 통한 이른바 ``세컨드 라이프``는 이전에 우리가 기대했던 방향으로만 전개되고 있지 않고 있다는 사실이다. 이에 따라 아바타를 개념을 재정립하고 더 나아가 아바타에 대한 사유를 확장시킬 수 있는 담론의 필요성이 제기되는 것이다. 현시대의 사람들은 미디어가 매개하는 탈-현실화된 사회에서 살기 때문에 자신의 존재의 의미에 대한 물음을 가질 때 소외와 불안은 느낀다고 한다. 아바타 놀이가 인간의 소외를 극복해주고, 나아가 좀 더 깊은 권태를 느끼는 사람들을 충족시켜주기 위해서는 자유의지의 실현을 넘어서 본래적 자기를 찾아주는 ``자유의 가능성``을 찾아야 한다. 불안은 바로 인간의 본질과 자유를 드러내주며 또한 감춰주는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 키에르케고르의 실존 개념을 통해 아바타의 의미망을 확장시켜 보고자 한다. The emergence of the popular internet social networking portals such as Facebook, and Tweeter, enables real time interaction among the users via texting. And, the recent coming of the film <Avatar> had prompted renewed attention and interest to the concept of avatar. Together, these call for the need to realign our perception of avatar and the virtual environment. The common expectation that the public had for second life`` with the usage of avatars is not heading in the direction that we had originally intended for. therefore, there needs to be a statement that can justify the need for re-establishment of the core concept of avatar. In this digital age, people feel content to stand behind the virtual mask or avatar that digital technology provides. Therefore, often they are visited by anxious, uneasy, alienated feeling when they question about the meaning of their real-life existence. The more profoundly they bore themselves, the more powerfully do they serve to divert these people who bore themselves. So, those who design avatar should underatand those others who bore to entertain others. The presence of anxiety and uneasiness reveals and veils the nature of human and freedom. In conclusion, the purpose of this research is to re-define and expand the concept of avatar through understanding of existence in Kierkegaard.
