        Leucine 섭취와 저항 운동이 Adipokine 및 염증 반응에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of resistance training with leucine supplementation on adipokine and inflammatory response in college-aged obese men. Thirty collegeaged obese man were randomly assigned to resistance training group(RT group, n=15), and resistance training with leucine supplementation group(RTL group, n=15). The experiments were performed after taking consent form from each subjects. Resistance training program was consisted of bench press, leg press and curl, back squat, and deadlift. Participants performed resistance training three days per week for 4 weeks. Exercise intensity of this resistance training was 75% 1RM of each exercise program. Body weight showed significant difference between time in the both group. % body fat and fat mass showed significant difference between time in the RT group(p<.05). Blood level of leptin decreased after 4 weeks resistance training in RT groups(p<.05), however blood level of adiponectin increased after 4 weeks resistance training in both groups. The blood level of TNF-α decreased after 4 weeks resistance training in RT group(p<.05), but the blood level of IL-6 was not changed after 4 weeks resistance training in both groups(p>.05). In conclusion, regularly resistance training have positive effects on body composition, adipokine, and TNF-α.

        교대 근무가 심혈관계 질환 발병 위험 요인들에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of night shift work on cardiovascualr disease risk factors. Forty six shift workers(SW) and thirty nine none shift workers(NSW) participated in this study. Measurement factors included body composition, blood pressure, blood lipid profiles(TG/TC/LDL/HDL), arterial stiffness factors(baPWV, ABI), WHR, WtHR, VFAT, and SFAT. The results of the study showed that the blood TG concentration, VFAT( Visceral Fat and left baPWV in the shift workers(SW) group was significantly higher than those of the none shift workers(NSW) group. There were no significant difference in the blood pressure, body composition and blood TC, LDL, and HDL concentration. In conclusion, there is a preponderance of evidence that blood TG concentration, visceral fat and arterial stiffness were more influenced by working types(shift workers/none shift workers). Future research with larger sample size and convergence study in design is necessary to understand the underlying mechanism and to better evaluate the cardiovascular disease risk Factors.

        식이를 통한 Beetroot Juice 섭취가 고혈압 노인들의 일회성운동 후 동맥경화도 및 중심혈압에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of acute submaximal cycling exercise following dietary beetroot juice supplementation on central blood pressure and arterial stiffness in elderly men with hypertension. Twenty six subjects with hypertension participated in two different kinds of experimentations; Experiment-1 was acute submaximal cycling exercise for 30min without dietary beetroot juice supplementation(NBJ). Experiment-2 was acute submaximal cycling exercise for 30min with dietary beetroot juice supplementation(BJS). The central blood pressure(SBP, DBP, cSBP, AI) and arterial stiffness factors(baPWV, ABI) were determined at preexercise(rest), 30min, 24h and 48h postexercise. The results of the study showed that the central blood pressure appeared to be significantly decreased at 30min post of submaximal cycling exercise in NBJ and BJS experiment conditions. It was also showed that the baPWV appeared to be significantly decreased and ABI appeared to be significantly increased at 30min post of submaximal cycling exercise in NBJ and BJS experiment conditions. In conclusion, there is a preponderance of evidence that central blood pressure and arterial stiffness were more affected by acute single submaximal exercise than dietary beetroot supplementation.

        Nitrate 구강 투여가 안정시 대사량과 운동 후 초과산소섭취량에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of oral nitrate supplementation on resting metabolic rate (RMR) and excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). METHODS: Ten university male subjects participated in this study. Resting metabolic RMR and submaximal exercise test (70 %V·O2max) on a cycle ergometer were performed for 30 minutes before and after oral nitrate supplementation. Also, EPOC was measured following submaximal exercise test (70 %V·O2max) before and after oral nitrate supplementation. RESULTS: There was a little decreased in oxygen consumption during submaximal exercise after oral nitrate supplementation, but there was no significant different between before and after experimental conditions. Interestingly, RMR became lower after oral nitrate supplementation compared with before nitrate supplementation. On the other hand EPOC was found to be higher following the submaximal exercise after oral nitrate supplementation, but there was no significant difference. CONCLUSIONS: This study found that oral nitrate supplementation decreased RMR By better understanding metabolic and energy expenditure effects of oral nitrate supplementation, various interventions, such as, exercise intensity, mode, diet, should be considered.
