The purpose of this study is to provide basic ideas about arrangement of interest centers in the activity room of the kindergarten so that teachers arrange desirable arrangement of activity room in hte definite theoritical system on the commitment of the early childhood program. To realize the above purpose, this study used the methods such as literal approach to theoretical backgrounds. The theoretical backgrounds are the developmental views of early childhood, physical environment of the kindergarten, facts of the interest centers and arrangement of the activity room of the kindergarten based on three streams of the early childhood education programs. And, this study presents some conceptual models of the interest centers in the activity room of the kindergarten through the pictures. To understand the arrangement of the interest centers based on three streams, the teacher-children's interaction has been focused in this study. In the arrangement of the behavioral-environmental view in the activity room, the teacher-children’s interaction is intensified more than other views. Though the numbers of the Bereiter-Engelmann program models are very limited, this study showed various types of the activity areas in the Korean situation. These additional activity areas showed in this studty emphasized the followings, basic learning skills, relax of the muscle, physical development and emotional stability. Activity areas in the maturational view and those of the interactional view are the traditional types of the interest centers. Two models of the activity room aren’t different. But, in the interactional view, teacher-children’s interaction is more direct and structured than that of maturational view. So children must concentrate on the activity by the children's situation and teacher's decision. Physical setting of activity room in the behavioral-environmental view is closed and structured, and teacher children’s interaction is direct and structured. Physical setting of the activity room in tÌ1e maturational view is open and teacher-children's interaction is indirect. Physical setting of the activity room in the interactional view is open and teacher-children’s interaction is semi-structured. To promote the children’s learning activity in interest centers of the kindergarten, the theoretical arrangement of the models of interest centers in this study must examined empirically. Therefore, field studies in the Kindergarten are necessary. Additionally, various program models have to be developed and staffs have to establish definite educational philosophy and the arrangement of the activity room concerning the condition of children has to be developed.

Purpose : Using dynamic range compression (DRC) processing, this study compared the detectability of mediastinal lines by conventional film screen rediography (FS) and by storage phosphor digital radiography(DR). Materials and Methods : We selected 200 normal consecutive chest radiographs (100 FS, 100 DR) ; dynamic range compression was applied to DR processing and moving grids were used in both systems. Seven mediastinal lines (left paraspinal, right paraspinal, azygoesophageal, left para-aortic, posterior junctional, anterior junctional and right paratracheal) were scored from 0 point to 3 point (0:not visible, 1:suspiciously visible, 2:visible, but not clear, 3:clearly visible) according to visibility and sharpness, as agreed by a radiologist and a resident. The differences between the two modalities were compared and analyzed by chi-square test. Results : Among the 1400 mediastinal lines analyzed, 419 lines by DR(59.9%) and 232 lines by FS(33.1%) were scored more than 2 points. In all mediastinal lines except the left para-aortic, DR was more detectable and clearer than FS, with statistical significance(p<.01). Conclusion : DR processed with DRC visualizes mediastinal lines more frequently and clearly than conventional FS, and is therefore thought to be useful for the evaluation of mediastinal diseases.

Purpose : To demonstrate the utility and efficacy of percutaneous direct glue embolization for juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibromas with skull base invasion Materials and Methods : In nine cases of juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibromas with invasion of the skull base, embolization under general anethesia was performed. Using an 18G spinal needle, direct puncture were made via the transnasal or mandibular sciatic notch. A glue-lipiodol mixture (1:1-1:3) was injected slowely for 15 to 30 seconds under fluoroscopic control; the number of injections depended on the size of the tumoral compartment. The results were evaluated by post-embolization angiography and the distribution of embolic materials was assessed on CT within 1-3 days. The mass was surgically removed 3 to 7 days after embolization. Results : Postembolization angiography revealed total devascularization in six cases, and devascularization greater than 90% of the initial volume in the remaining three. The cast of the tumor was clearly demonstrated by the embolization material with increased density. Surgical removal was safely performed without significant bleeding. And no neurologic complications were observed. Conclusion : Direct glue embolization of juvenile angiofibroma with skull base invasion appears to be a simple and safe procedure. The technique could be used for other hypervascular lesions in the base fo the skull or parapharyngeal space.

We report an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation procedure optimized for ‘Kyoho’ that is a major table grapevine cultivar in Korea, and its transgenic plants with antifreeze protein gene of carrot (DcAFP). The full length of DcAFP coding region in accordance with the previous report was isolated from young leaves of carrot and recombined into a plant transformation vector. Ethylene inhibitors such as silver nitrate and aminoethoxyvinylglycin (AVG) supplemented in a co-cultivation medium distinctly increased frequency of shoot regeneration when explants were sub-cultured in a selection medium: particularly ten-fold higher in treatment with 0.1 mg/L AVG than one without ethylene inhibitor. Among various antibiotics and their concentrations, the combination of 150 mg/L cefotaxime plus 150 mg/L ClavamoxTM was selected for elimination of Agrobacterium cells in addition to minimization of adverse effect on shoot regeneration, while 50 mg/L kanamycin monosulfate effectively suppressed regeneration of nontransgenic shoots. Applying the elucidated culture condition, we finally obtained a total of 5 transgenic ‘Kyoho’ plantlets with DcAFP, of which integration with the grapevine genome and transcription was confirmed by nucleic acid analyses.

The purpose of this thesis is to research the techniques the teachers of early childhood education uses : the parents counseling technique and the guide technique that increase the efficiency of infant with problem guide by organizing a cooperative system with the parents. Therefore, I sought for the hereditary and temperamental factors as well as the environmental factors. For the teacher’s guide technique in infant with problem there are natural and organic observations. For the modification of the behavior with problem, the behavior modification, humanistic approach, individual psychology the eclectic standard family, guide principles, techniques and procedures are suggested. For the parents counseling service technique toward infant with problem, the foundanental views, counseling process, and the major techniques in the humanistic, behavioral and psychoanalytic counseling services are presented. The method on the process of parents counseling and the questions which may be presented in the process of counseling and the questions which may be presented in the process of counseling are researched. Concrete examples are also presented with the cases analysed according to the behavior with problem causes. Teachers in the infant education organizations should provide a relaxed atmosphere for the parents to unable them to express their problems freely. While listening attentively, teachers have to show that they are responding to the parents' problems by showing occasionally linguistic or non -linguistic responses. Sometimes, the reflective listening is recommended to reflect the parents’own feelings like a mirror. It is also required for the teachers to be eqipped the knowledge of child development and the psychological knowledge on human beings so as to respond theoretically to the parents' experiences or feelings. In order to help the parents through counseling in true sense, the teachers should be prepared to acquire specific knowledge and quality so that they maybe of guide on life and psychological therapy for the infant and the parents ; that is, a profound affection and understanding toward the infant, a careful and accurate judgement, and the conversion of cognition on the infant’'s behavior with problem required. Besides, observation and recording of the infant’'s behavior problem, building up a trusting relationship with the parents, vast amount of reading, continuous research study are required, Also the teacher’'s deep consideration on behavior with problem is necessary, but impetuous judgement should be avoided. To guide the behavior with problem efficiently, interaction between the teacher and parents is required. In case the parents have similar views with the teacher, both the teacher and parents can share informations on child development and behavior, and can find the solutions together, which will enable them to guide the behavior with problem more efficiently. When the parents feel different with the teacher' s view on the child’s behavior, it is important to identify the behavior with problem factors and to understand those factors. In order to bring an efficient change in the infant's behavior, consistent response from the family and teacher is required. The teacher and parents should make combined efforts to guide the behavior with problem. Moreover, the efforts to prevent the behavior with problem is highly recommended. Prevention of the behavior with problem caused by the hereditary or the dispositional disorder in nervous system will require medical examination and treatment. In case of learned or emotional disordered behavior, it can be prevented by arranging the child's growing environment healthily and soundly. The behaviors, expectations and raising methods of parents', family members’, or the acting fosterer’s can be a primarily important factor. The stress that a child receives from its parents’ expectations or pressure, the psychological pathology problems from unhealthy parents or fosterer can be the cause of a infant’s problem. To solve the problems of the behavior with problem caused by heredity, consideration and counter measure on hereditary problems are required as well as the reconsideration of the environment. For the behavior psychology by environmental cause, prevention and treatments are possible through training and education on the acquirement of consistent raising attitude.
