The effect of liposomal cephalexin on the dry period treatment of bovine Staphylococcus aureus mastitis

Stable plurilamellar vesicle(SPLV) 제작법을 이용한 liposomal cephalexin으로 젖소의 Staphylococcus aureus성 유방염에 대해 건유기 치료를 시도하였다. SPLV의 모양과 크기를 transmission electron microscopy로 관찰하였으며 SPLV의 포획율 및 안정성은 high performance liquid chromatography 및 liquid scintillation counting으로 조사한 바 SPLV의 크기는 대개 직경 $0.1{\sim}4.0{\mu}m$였고, cephalexin 포획율은 $25.8{\pm}3.1$ $(mean{\pm}SE)$였으며 $4^{\circ}C$ 보관시 0, 24, 48, 72 및 96 시간후의 유리농도백분율은 각각 1.1, 3.9, 6.5, 7.5 및 8.4%였다. S aureus에 감염된 45분방에 대하여 15분방씩 3군으로 나누어 각 분방당 250mg의 liposomal cephalexin(LC군), 250mg free cephalexin(FC)군 및 blank liposome을 첨가한 250mg cephalexin(BLC)군을 건유시 분방내 주입한 후 분만당일에 균분리 및 동정을 실시한 바 LC군, FC군 및 BLC군에서 각각 1, 8 및 7분방에서 상기와 동일한 균이 분리되어 LC군이 타군에 비해 유의한 치료효과를 나타내었다. Liposomal cephalexin was used m the dry period treatment of bovine mastitis due to Staphylococcus aureus. Liposomes were prepared by stable plurilamellar vesicle(SPLV) process. The shape and size of SPLVs were examined by transmission electron microscopy. The entrapping efficiency and stability of SPLVs were determined by high performance liquid chromatography or liquid scintillation counting. The size of SPLVs ranged from 0.1 to $4.01{\mu}m$ in diameter, with an entrapping efficiency of cephalexin of 25.8 %. The formulation of liposomal cephalexin was used for treatment were SPLV-entrapped cephalexin and free cephalexin with total cephalexin concentration of 250mg per quarters. All quarters were infused intramammarily at the end of lactation period by liposomal cephalexin, free cephalexin, or blank liposome with free cephalexin. The number of quarters cured by liposomal cephalexin(14/15 quarters, 93 %) was significantly higher than that by free cephalexin(7/15 quarters, 46%). or by blank liposome with free cephalexin(8/15 quarters, 53 % ) (p<0.05).

Effects of Germinated and Fermented Unmarketable Soybean on Laying Performance and Egg Quality in Laying Hens

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of germinated and fermented unmarketable soybean (GFS) on laying performance and egg quality in laying hens. A total of two hundred laying hens were divided into 5 groups (5 treatment $\times$ 4 replication $\times$ 10 birds each) and fed with the experimental diets for 8 wk as follows: control, GFS free; T1, GFS 0.15%; T2, GFS 0.3%; T3, GFS 1%; T4, GFS 2%. The laying performance, egg quality, blood profiles, cecal microbial population, isoflavone content in egg yolk were investigated. There were no significant differences laying performance, relative liver and spleen weights, egg yolk color, eggshell color among groups. Eggshell strength in groups fed with diets containing GFS increased, but not significantly. Eggshell thickness significantly increased in the GFS-supplemented group. No significant differences were observed in the blood profiles and intestinal microflora after supplementation. The decrease of Haugh unit during storage was alleviated by feeding of GFS (p<0.05). The concentrations of malondialdehyde in groups fed with GFS were decreased as compared with control (p<0.05). Isoflavones in the egg yolk were detected in group fed with diet containing 2% GFS. These results showed that unmarketable GFS could be used as a favorable feed additive and feedstuff for production of quality enhanced and isoflavone fortified eggs.

관계형 데이터베이스를 이용한 XPath Accelerator: 구현과 튜닝

XML은 데이터 표현과 교환을 위한 표준으로 급격히 자리잡아가고 있으며, XML문서는 다양한 응용분야에 도입되고 있다. 1990년대 후반부터, XML 전용 DBMS(Database Management Systems)들이 개발되어왔고, 최근 들어서는 상용 관계형 DBMS 벤더들도 XML 기능을 자사 제품들(예들 들어 오라클, IBM DB2, 그리고 MS SQL Server)에서 지원하기 시작했다. 본 논문에서는 XML 저장과 인덱싱 기법의 하나인 XPath Accelerator을 특정 관계형 DBMS상에 구현하고 이를 최적으로 튜닝하는 방안을 설명한다. 본 논문의 기여사항은 1) XPath Accelerator의 자세한 구현 방안과 2) 상용 관계형 DBMS의 최신 질의 처리 기법들을 활용한 튜닝 방법이다. XML is rapidly becoming the standard for data representation and exchange, and XML documents are being adopted in various applications. Since the late 1990s, some native XML database management systems(DBMSs) have been developed. More recently, commercial relational DBMS vendors try to incorporate full functionalities of XML into their products, such as Oracle, MS SQL and IBM DB2. In this paper, we implement a well-known RDBMS-based XML data storage and indexing technique, called XPath Accelerator, and tune it in an industry-leading RDBMS. Our contributions are two-folds: 1) an in-depth implementation of the XPath Accelerator technique and 2) its tuning to exploit the advanced query processing techniques of an RDBMS.

한국 FK(Futsal Korea) CUP 대회 아이덴티티가 가치와 참가의도에 미치는 영향

This study attempted to provide basic data on efficient competition operation plans by identifying how the identity of the Korean FK CUP competition affects value and participation intention. Therefore, among those who are aware of the FK CUP competition organized by the Korea Futsal League, those who have participated in the futsal competition were selected as samples. The survey was conducted face-to-face and non-face-to-face from April 1 to June 17, 2022, and a total of 299 data were used for the final analysis. Data processing used the SPSS (ver.21.0) program to conduct frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency, correlation analysis, simple and multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the identity of the Korean FK CUP competition has been shown to influence the value in the order of organization, human and symbol. Second, the value has been shown to influence the participation intention. Third, the identity of the Korean FK CUP competition has been shown to influence the participation intention in the order of organization, human.

N/A Background: Volume overload is one of the most important, correctable factor far blood sure control in hemodialysis patient. But objective parameter for the ideal body weight is not available in clinical field yet. Recently inferior vena caval examination became a possible candidate for an objective parameter for intravascular volume status. Therefore we investigated how inferior vena cava changes during hemodialysis compared with total amount of ultrafiltration and ANP, and also the effect of changes of IVC diameter on LVK Methods: 43 patients on stable maintainance hemodialysis were enrolled. Among them, 21 patients were on antihypertensive medication. Just before and after the hemodialysis, inferior vena cava diameter, plasma atrial natriuretic peptide and left ventricular mass index were measured for each patient. Inferior vena cava was examined at the level just below the hepatic vein during quiet respiration and left ventricular mass index was calculated. Results- Inferior vena cava at expiration(IVCe) was significantly decreased during hemodialysis(before hemodialysis 21.9 4.9 mm, after hemodialysis 18.3 4.4 mm, p = 0.02). Collasibility index was significantly increased during hemodialysis (before hemodialysis 0.24 0.15, after hemodialysis 0.41 0.19, p< 0.001). Atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP) was significantly decreased during hemodialysis (before hemodialysis 252.3±119.0 pg/ml, after hemodialysis 185.6±93.2 pg/ml, p<0.001). Total ultrafiltration amount was significantly correlated with collapsibility change(r=-0.40) and change of ANP(r=-0.41). Left ventricular mass index was correlated with interdialysis weight gain(r=0.39, p<0.05), IVCe after hemodialysis(r=0.48, p<0.05) in univariate analysis but not in multivariate analysis. Conclusion: Collapsibility index of inferior vena cava, IVC diameter and ANP changes reflect the volume change during the hemodiaylsis. Therefore 1VC examination can be an objective parameter for volume change during hemodialysis. Postdialysis 1VCe correlates weakly with left ventricular mass index but it cannot be an independant risk factor for left ventricular hypertrophy in our study.

This paper presents an adaptive control scheme for flexible joint robot manipulators. This control scheme is based on the Lyapunov direct method with the arm energy-based Lyapunov function. The proposed adaptive control scheme uses only the position and velocity feedback of link and motor shaft. The adaptive control system of flexible joint robots is asymptotically stable regardless of the joint flexibility value. Therefore, the assumption of weak joint elasticity is not needed. Also, joint flexibility value is unknown. Simulation results are presented to show the feasibility of the proposed adaptive control scheme.

기독교 사상이 라오서(老舍) 문학에 미친 영향

1900년대 초 역사적 변혁기에 중국의 지식인들은 나라의 미래를 올바른 방향으로 이끌어가고자 하는 나름대로의 처방을 모색하고 있었다. 사회주의에서 그 해법을 구하는 이도 있었고, 부르주아 민주주의에 관심을 두는 이도 있었다. 또한 교육이나 과학기술의 발전을 통해 나라의 미래를 열어보고자 노력하는 이들의 시도도 있었다. 반면에 라오서(老舍)는 종교, 특히 기독교에서 그 처방을 구하고자 하였다. 라오서가 젊은 시절 접했던 기독교 사상이 그의 문학, 즉 문학이론과 문학창작에 어떠한 모습으로 나타났는지를 살펴보는 것이 본 논문의 핵심적 내용이다. 먼저 그의 생애를 중심으로 그가 기독교에 접하게 된 과정을 살펴보고, 그가 발표했던 글들 가운데 기독교적 관념이 잘 드러난 것들을 살펴보았다. 그가 발표했던 수많은 작품 가운데 기독교적 관점이 잘 드러났다고 판단되는 『묘성기(猫城記)』를 중심으로 살펴보았고, 이를 통해 자기를 버리는 헌신의 마음으로 문학 활동에 종사하고 조국의 미래를 걱정하며 생을 마쳤던 작가의 진정어린 애국의 마음을 읽을 수 있었다. 당시 중국이 직면했던 여러 문제를 해결하는 데 있어서 라오서의 문제 의식은 현실적 대안으로 수용되지 않았고, 그 효과 또한 미미했다. 하지만 그 자체가 의미가 없는 것은 아니다. 신 중국 수립 이후 기독교 사상에 입각한 그의 문제의식은 모든 문제를 블랙홀처럼 빨아들이는 정치 격랑 속으로 빨려 들어가 포말처럼 사라진 듯 했지만 그의 창작 곳곳에는 미미하나마 그 빛을 찾아볼 수 있기 때문이다. During the period of historical transformation in the early 1900s, Chinese intellectuals sought to find a prescription to put the country's future in the right direction. Some sought the solution of socialism, others interested in bourgeois democracy. There were also attempts by those who tried to open the nation's future by developing education or technology. On the other hand, the time was to seek the prescription from religions, especially Christianity. At the heart of this paper is how Christian ideas, which LAO-She had encountered during his youth, emerged from his literature, literature theory and literature creation. First, he looked at the process in which he came into contact with Christianity throughout his lifetime, and then at the things that revealed Christian ideas in his writings. Among the many works he announced, he focused on the A Tale of cat city which was judged to have a Christian view well expressed, through which he left the ` dedication of mind to abandon himself ` and engaged in literature activities by his country. The problem of how to deal with the many problems China faced at the time was not accepted as a practical alternative, and its effects were minimal. But in itself, it is not pointless. His sense of problem based on Christian thought after the establishment of the new China may have been sucked into the political chaos that drew all the problems into black holes, and disappeared like foam.
