The end zone of the rail expansion joint in the continuous welded rail track are typical vulnerable place due to the longitudinal movement of sleepers. This study investigated the controlling method of the longitudinal movement of sleepers without change of the characteristic of the expansion behavior such as the amount of rail expansion, the length of the breathing zone, etc. Especially, this paper presented effect of the RLR(Reduced Longitudinal Restraint) fastener that reduce the longitudinal resistance of fastener.

The buckling characteristics of the continuous welded rail track(CWR) is uncertainly varied by many influence factors, such as rail temperature, operating conditions of a train and maintenance of the track etc. Therefore, applying the probabilistic approach method is essential to rationally consider uncertainty and randomness of the various parameters that affect the track buckling. In this study, the probabilistic approach analysis was carried out and the results were compared with the deterministic approach using the buckling probability evaluation system of CWR tracks developed by our research team. From the comparison, it was identified that a probabilistic approach can quantitatively assess the reliability of the CWR tracks based on failure probability and can be used as a tool for decision making in track design, maintenance and operating etc.

교량상 장대레일이 부설 시 궤도-교량 종뱡향 상호작용에 의하여 부가축력이 발생한다. 이에 대한 강도한계의 검토를 위하여 KR C-08080 설계기준을 따른다. KR code에서 궤도-교량 상호작용 해석 시 온도하중과 차량하중을 고려하도록 하고 있으며, 각 하중의 극댓값을 적용하도록 되어있다. 이것은 지속적으로 작용하는 온도의 변동성, 반복주행을 고려하지 못한 해석으로, 도상의 탄소성 거동으로 인한 이력효과가 발생 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유한요소 해석을 통한 궤도-교량 상호작용 해석 시 반복온도하중을 고려함에 따른 영향을 살펴보았다. In case of the continuous welded rail(CWR) track is supported by the railway bridge, the additional axial force is occurred in the CWR due to the track-bridge interaction. And the strength criteria for checking follows design code (KR C-08080). KR code has temperature and vehicle loads consider when analyzing the track-bridge interaction, and each load apply its maximum magnitude. This analysis method may ignores the characteristics of continuous variation of temeperature and repaeated vehicle loads, and there is also the possibility of hysteresis track behavior due to the elasto-plastic behavior of the longitudinal ballast resistance. In this paper, track-bridge interaction characteristics due to cyclic temperature loads are investigated using by the FE analysis.
