첨단과 전통의 역설 -김수영 전통론의 현대적 재구성

It is difficult to think about Kim Soo-Young’s literature without considering the context of ‘novelty’ or ‘avant-garde’. But, what makes his literature genuinely ‘cutting edge’ comes from self-reflection about it. This refers to the ‘gloom’ and ‘grief’ which appears in the poems of Kim Soo-Young. What is interesting is that this ‘condolence’ is not unrelated to the reality of the peripheral capitalism. The more a poet in the peripheral capitalism tries ‘a cutting edge song’, the bigger gap he experiences between the reality where he is in and his song. The condolence is also an expression of the recognition and self-awakening about this ‘gap’. It is also an acknowledgement about the ‘retardation’ of our poetic reality itself. Kim Soo-Young, by acknowledging the ‘retardation’, seeks the ‘paradox’ to lead to becoming ‘cutting edge’. It is in this context where Kim Soo-Young’s so-called remarks on ‘tradition’ become problematic. The ‘tradition’ here is irrelevant to chauvinism or populism. This relates to the pursuit of density in modern poetry by the poet who belongs to the peripheral capitalism. By detaching socio-cultural context from ‘traditional language’ and seeking for its true nature, he works on transforming it into the most cutting edge ‘vacuum language’. Through this ‘disturbance’ and ‘arrangement’, Kim Soo-Young dreams of the possibility to be able to change the reality through poetry (literature). This is the moment when the history of Korean literature arrives at the new recognition of the political power of the poetry. This is the very implication in the history of literature that Kim Soo-Young’s recognition of modern poetry has.

명시적 교수에 기반한 통합파닉스 훈련이 난독증위험학생의 단어재인, 읽기유창성, 철자쓰기에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the synthetic phonics training based on explicit instruction on word recognition, oral reading fluency, and spelling of students at risk for dyslexia. The subjects were three second-grade students selected from an elementary school. Their intellectual level was normal and they are assumed to have dyslexia by using the dyslexia screening checklist. This study used a multiple probe design across subjects. As dependent measures, word recognition was to read 10 words with no meaning including forms 1 to 6 in Korean. The formative assessment of the BASA was used for oral reading fluency. Spelling was tested with 10 words with meaning from forms 1 to 6 in Korean. The results are as follows: First, word recognition of subjects was effective and intervention at phoneme level was more effective than that at syllable level. The subjects’ errors were influenced by form of letters and level of difficulty rather than syllables and number of letters. Also, subjects knew the name of each letter, but they did not know the sound of each letter. Second, oral reading fluency of subjects was improved, but the improvement was lowest among the dependent variables. The oral reading errors made by subjects were complex and unique, not common. Third, spelling was the most effective among the dependent variables and the effects were continuously maintained. Some discussions, implications, and suggestions for future research were offered. 본 연구는 명시적 교수에 기반한 통합파닉스 훈련이 난독증위험학생들의 단어재인, 읽기유창성, 철자쓰기에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 연구대상은 지능은 정상이고, 난독증 선별 체크리스트에서 ‘난독증 추정’으로 나온 초등학교 2학년 학생 3명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구설계는 단일대상연구로 중다간헐기초선설계를 사용하였다. 종속변인 측정으로 단어재인검사는 한글 1-6형식이 포함된 무의미 단어 10개를 읽는 검사였고, 읽기유창성은 BASA 읽기검사의 형성평가를 사용하였으며, 철자쓰기는 한글 1-6형식의 의미단어 10개로 구성된 검사를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 단어재인에서 대상 학생들은 모두 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 음절 수준의 중재보다는 음소 수준의 중재가 보다 효과적이었으며, 대상학생들의 오류는 음절-글자 수보다는 글자의 형식과 난이도에 영향을 받았고, 낱자의 이름은 알고 있었으나 낱자의 소리에 대한 인식은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 읽기유창성에서도 모두 향상되었으나 종속변인 중 가장 낮은 향상도를 보였다. 읽기유창성에서 대상학생들이 보인 오류는 일상적인 양상이 아닌 복합적이고 특이한 양상으로 나타났다. 철자쓰기는 종속변인 중 가장 효과적이었고, 그 효과도 지속적으로 유지되었다. 연구 결과에 대한 논의와 시사점, 후속 연구를 위한 제언들을 제시하였다.

Insulinoma is a rare endocrine tumor that frequently causes neurologic symptoms. We report a case of a 17-year-old man with hypersomnia and abnormal behavior lasting for 10 months. He had recurrent attacks of hypersomnia that lasted for up to 36 hours and of unconscious wandering mimicking an ictal or postictal state. Hypoglycemia was documented (30 mg/dL) and insulinoma was found at the most-recent episode. Clinicians should be aware that hypersomnia and unconscious wandering can present in association with hypoglycemia.

원시적 열정의 재현과 오리엔탈리즘에 대한 항의 - 한국현대소설과 동남아시아 -

This article tried to raise issues on the ways how the Eastern Orientalism imagines Southeast Asia as a different existence, focusing on modern Korean novels from latter part of 1990s to recent years, i.e. 2010s.「Different Existence」and「Sera」written by Yoon-Young Kim and「Your Tree」 written by Young-Ha Kim recognize Southeast Asia as a form of deficiency, that is, as an economically inferior land that cannot be even comparable to us. On the other hand, they imagine from Southeast Asia a place of alternatives by which we can restore human origin that was deprived of by capitalistic living order or a metaphysical world which is full of spirituality. This can be called a kind of reversed aestheticism. In that this kind of aestheticism forms two sides of the same coin together with the recognition of superior power, it can be regarded as one of the important elements of Orientalism, as stated by Karatani Kojin. This article acknowledges that Korean novels cannot be free from Orientalism when they represent Southeast Asia. This is because we are also a product of such kind of representation. However, this article tried to think about the possibility of an ‘Eastern Orientalism’ which can shake it from inside. Regarding this, what this article paid attention is that there are many occasions where novels reproducing Southeast Asia ‘translate’ them into ‘females’ in our realistic and aesthetic context. This genderized other is mostly reproduced to be ‘primitive passion.’ What is interesting is that this primitive passion can be an appeal strategy against Orientalism, by returning the look of the Orientalism. Rey Chow confirmed such possibility from the movies of Zhang Yimou. This article discovers the clue of such possibility from our novels which reproducing Southeast Asia. Through this, this article makes clear the position that a literary planning which imagines a symbol outside of Orientalism as an alternative to overcome Orientalism is meaningless. This is because what literature can do is to shake its power by dismantling its structure within the representation mechanism. 본고는 1990년대 후반부터 최근, 즉 2010년대에 이르는 한국현대소설을 중심으로 동양적 오리엔탈리즘이 타자로서 동남아시아를 상상하는 방식을 문제삼고자 했다. 김윤영의 「타자」, 「세라」, 김영하의 「당신의 나무」 등은 동남아시아를 결여의 형태, 즉 경제적으로는 우리와 비교할 수도 없는 열등한 땅으로 파악하는 한편, 그들로부터 자본주의적 삶의 질서가 앗아간 인간의 본원성을 회복할 수 있는 대안의 공간을 상상하거나 영성으로 충만한 형이상학적 세계를 상상한다. 이는 일종의 전도된 심미주의라고 할 만하다. 이런 식의 심미주의는 우월한 힘에 대한 인식과 동전의 양면을 형성한다는 점에서, 가라타니 고진이 이야기한 대로, 오리엔탈리즘의 중요한 요소 가운데 하나라고 할 수 있다. 본고는 우리 소설이 동남아를 재현할 때 오리엔탈리즘으로부터 자유로울 수 없다는 점을 인정한다. 우리 역시 그런 식의 표상의 산물이기 때문이다. 그러나 그것을 내부에서 뒤흔들 수 있는 ‘동양적 오리엔탈리즘’의 가능성을 생각해보고자 했다. 여기서 본고가 주목한 것은 동남아를 재현하는 소설들이 우리의 현실적, 미학적 문맥 속에서 그들을 ‘여성’으로 ‘번역’하는 경우가 많다는 점이다. 이 젠더화된 타자성은 ‘원시적 열정’으로 재현되는 경우가 대부분이다. 흥미로운 것은 이 원시적 열정이 오리엔탈리즘의 응시를 되돌려주는 오리엔탈리즘에 대한 항의 전략이 될 수 있다는 점이다. 레이 초우는 장이머우의 영화로부터 그 가능성을 확인했다. 본고는 동남아를 재현하는 우리 소설들에게서 그 가능성의 단초를 발견한다. 이를 통해 본고는 오리엔탈리즘을 넘어서기 위한 대안으로 오리엔탈리즘 바깥의 표상을 상상하는 문학적 기획은 무의미하다는 입장을 분명히 한다. 문학이 할 수 있는 것은 표상 체계내에서 그것의 구조를 해체함으로써 그것의 권력을 뒤흔드는 것이기 때문이다.

녹차 추출 잔류물의 자원화를 위한 셀룰로오스 분리

녹차를 추출 후 버려지는 잔류물에서 셀룰로오스 분리 정제하였다. 분리 정제 공정은 염기 추출에 의한 폴리페놀 물질 제거 후 표백 공정과 표백 단일 공정을 실시하여 약품 사용량을 비교하였다. 염기 추출에 의한 폴리페놀 물질 제거 공정에서 녹차 잔류물에 존재하는 다량의 발색 구조의 제거가 가능하였고, 이후 단계 표백 공정의 약품 사용을 획기적으로 감소시킬 수 있었다. 녹차 추출 잔류물의 셀룰로오스 분리 정제 기술에서 염기 추출에 의한 발색구조의 제거 공정 후 표백 약품으로 잔류 발색 구조 산화공정을 추천한다.

3D 프린팅을 사용해 제작한 새로운 손 보조기 적용 사례연구

본 연구의 목적은 손을 기능적 자세로 만들어주는 새로운 디자인의 보조기를 환자에게 적용하여 손기능에어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 하는 것이었다. 새로운 보조기는 엄지와 검지의 샅공간(web space)을 넓히는 새로운 디자인이다. 보조기 착용 후 환자는 엄지 벌림의 자세를 유지할 수 있었고 작은 물건 잡기가 가능하게 되었다. 환자는 손 기능에서 향상을 보였고 Box and Block 검사의 수행이 가능해져 1분에 8개의 블록을 옮길 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 물건에 손바닥의 접촉이 요구는 잡기는 이전보다 더 어려웠고 일상에서 착용시 물이 닿으면 고정되지 못한다는 단점 또한 있었다. 본 연구는 3D 프린팅을 이용한 첫 보조기 적용 연구라는 점에서 의미가 있으며 앞으로 작업치료분야에서 3D 프린팅을 통해 다양한 환자 맞춤형 보조기가 개발될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a new designed splint on the hand function. A new design splint that enlarges the area between thumb and index finger was manufactured using 3D printing. After wearing a new splint the patient was possible to open thumb and hold a small object. She showed improvement in overall hand function and could move eight blocks in box and block test. But grasping a cup without a handle has become more difficult than before. Also there is a disadvantage that it could not be fixed by water. This study is meaningful in that it is the first splint application study using 3D printing. In the future, we expect that various patient-specific splints will be developed through 3D printing in the field of occupational therapy.
