        Track sports such as “Short track” and “Speed skating” are some of the winter sporting discipline dominated by South Korea which have high hopes for the upcoming 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Despite the winter sports being in the limelight, training of the seasonal sports are not only problematic due to accessibility but also because of financial reasons due to which, dry land training such as slide board exercise has been considered by coaches to enhance endurance, agility, balance, body composition, muscular strength, proprioception, as well as cardiorespiratory fitness. Although the exercise was initially developed for sports specific off the ice training, slide board training has been also effective for recreational purposes, conditioning, functional rehabilitation for ACL injuries as well as activities involving lateral movement. Similarly, an increased demand of sports oriented fitness equipment’s and simulators have been seen in the field of sports however, without substantial biomechanical evidence as well as interactive visual feedback of performance to the user. Hence, the purpose of the study was to provide quantitative data of skating maneuver performed on sliding board for developing augmented reality based feedback skating simulator.

        동계스포츠 맞춤형 기상지원 서비스를 위한 연구

        동계스포츠는 레저인구의 확대와 함께 국내 및 국제수준의 대회가 자주 개최됨에 따라 수요자 중심의 스포츠 정보가 더욱 필요해지고 있다. 특히 기상 및 환경정보는 동계스포츠대회를 조직체는 물론이고 직접 진행을 하는 경기운영요원 및 지도자와 선수 모두에게 필수적인 요소가 되고 있다. 이 연구는 동계스포츠 설상 종목을 4개의 종목군으로 그룹화하여 각 그룹별 기상 및 환경정보에 의해 경기운영 및 경기력을 위한 제고하는 중요성 요인이 무엇인가를 구명(究明)하는데 목적이 있었다. 이 연구는 질적연구방법에 의해 이루어졌으며, 11명의 동계스포츠 관련자들이 유목적적 표집법(purposeful sampling)에 의해 정보제공자로서 선정하였다. 심층면담(in-depth interview)을 통해 얻은 자료는 내용분석(content analysis)과 함께 유형화(categorizing)과정으로 분석되었다. 이러한 과정을 통해 얻은 결론은 동계 스포츠경기를 위해 종목별 특화된 기상 및 환경정보 요소들에 의해 경기운영과 경기력에 중요하게 고려해야 하는 요인들이 구명하였다. 이는 동계스포츠 특성에 맞는 세분화된 정보를 제공하여 정보수요자의 활용과 정보재생산의 의미를 갖는다. The purpose of this study was to provide a method to support customized weather and environmental information services for the successful operation of winter sporting events. First, individual in-depth interviews and surveys were conducted with athletes, coaching staffs and experts related to the competition for 10 different winter sports for analysis of their needs. We conducted face-to-face survey and survey considering the training schedule and situation of experts. The recorded voice file was converted into word text, and extracted the weather and environmental information elements embedded in the opinions of the research participants based on literature reviews and data. The findings are expected to provide basic data on the weather conditions required to support specialized weather information for future large winter sports events, including the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

        스노보드 부츠 개발을 위한 보행동작 특성분석

        The purpose of the study was to perform gait analysis of three different winter boots (BD, EZ, NS) and provide reference data for designing a multipurpose snowboard boots which can be used during snowboarding as well as for outdoors activities. Four male snowboarders who were from Korea Youth National Team and demonstrator participated in order to achieve the purpose of the study. Six 3D Motion analysis system (Vicon612 Motion Systems. Ltd., UK) and four force plates (AMTI ORG-6) were used to analyze the changes in kinematic and kinetic variables. Angular variables of lower limbs i.e. Peak max & min of knee and hip angles and Ground Reaction force (Fz) were calculated to measure the effect of three different winter boots on gait. The results obtained from the study are as follows: The type of vamp effected the limb moment. Soft boots (EZ) caused more hip adduction of supporting leg than stiff snowboard boots (BD) during one leg support phase and allowed bigger flexion of hip on swing leg. Wearing stiff snowboard boots (BD) caused larger hip’s internal and knee’s internal and external rotation of the supporting leg than normal winter shoes (NS). Boots type also effected the knee’s external rotation and flexion of the swing leg. Furthermore, it is considered that wearing stiff boots limited the ankle ROM due to which significant differences were also observed in knee flexion of the supporting leg.

        스키 플레이트 개발을 위한 생리학적 효과 분석

        The purpose of this study was to investigate analysis of energy expenditure of ski plate in ski players. Six male alpine ski athletes volunteered to participate in the experiment. The rotating F1 made by F Co. and existing products S1 and S2 plates used in the experiment, and the doble blind test were performed. Subjects installing F1→S1→S2 plates each performed three runs. Energy metabolic variables were obtained from portable wireless gas analyzer and polar at rest, lactate threshold (LT), and maximal oxygen uptake (VO₂max) for determination of heart rate (HR), oxygen uptake (VO₂), metabolic equivalent (MET) and energy consumption (EE). The change in HR, VO₂ and EE were more higher when installing F1 than S2 and S1 plate at the LT point. Oxygen uptake as an indicator which showed the mobilization capacity of lactic acid system during energy metabolism and the depletion of energy sources, the concentrations of fatigue substances in peripheral muscle by exercise also more increased with the increased in speed, when installing F1 plate than S2 and S2 plates.

        이미지 프로세싱 기반 탁구공 자동추적 프로그램 개발

        [목적] 본 연구의 목적은 탁구 전술 수립을 위한 정보를 신속하기 획득하기 위해 이미지 프로세싱 기술을 활용하여 탁구공의 이동궤적을 추적할 수 있는 알고리즘과 소프트웨어를 개발하는데 있다. [방법] 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서 사용하고 있는 알고리즘을 탁구 동호인 2경기와 국제대회 2경기에 적용하고 보완하였다. 개발한 소프트웨어를 통해 자동으로 획득한 구역별 탁구공 바운스 빈도와 수기로 획득한 빈도를 비교하는 신뢰도 분석을 수행하였다. [결과] 동호인 2경기의 평균 신뢰도는 85.1±3.69%, 합계 오류 14.9±3.69%로 나타났고 과대추정 오류 52.2±9.78%, 과소추정 오류 47.8±9.78%이다. 국제대회 2경기의 평균 신뢰도는 71.8±0.87%, 합계 오류 28.2±0.87%, 과대추정 오류 82.0±8.03%, 과소추정 오류 19.2±7.75%이다. [결론] 본 연구에서 개발한 알고리즘과 소프트웨어의 목표 신뢰도는 80%로 동호인 경기에서만 달성하였지만 국제대회 경기의 경우 대체적으로 과대추정 오류가 높아 추후 개선할 수 있는 가능성을 보여줬다. [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to develop algorithms and software that can track the trajectory of table tennis balls using image-processing algorithms to obtain information quickly for under and establish tactics used in table tennis. [Methods] The algorithms used in the field of computer vision were applied on two matches played by novice and two matches during international competitions by elite athletes. Reliability analysis was performed by comparing the table tennis ball bounce frequency in each zone obtained through the automatic method and the manual method. [Results] The mean reliability of the two novice games was only 85.1 ± 3.69%, total error was 14.9 ± 3.69%, overestimation error was 52.2 ± 9.78%, and underestimation error was 47.8 ± 9.78%. While the mean reliability of the two international tournaments was 71.8 ± 0.87%, the total error was 28.2 ± 0.87%, overestimation error was 82.0 ± 8.03%, and underestimation error was 19.2 ± 7.75%. [Conclusion] Although the target reliability of algorithms and software developed in this study was achieved only in novice competitions with 80%, the over-estimation errors were generally high in international competitions, showing the potential for further improvement.
