Water Culture Pavilion was constructed as a part of dam construction and Four-major rivers restoration projects, which have the purpose to prevent damage of natural disaster, localized heavy rain and drought, and has several functions; promotion, education and region culture community. Exhibition space in this culture pavilion should have the excellent connection of various media, contents, and exhibition space because of limited space. The purpose of this study is to analyze flows, continuation and connection of exhibit space with the perspectives of the attribute of water and to suggest various content things, technical, spatial types. This study targets Four-major rivers Water Culture Pavilion in Korea and suggests exhibition presentation methods as analyzing contents, media and constituent of exhibition space for each pavilion exhibition. The result of this study is as follows : First, the circulation is common expressed attribute of water in these four water culture pavilion. The reason is that there is a connection between Four-major rivers restoration projects and the physical attribute of water circulating the steps of evaporation, condensation and precipitation. Second, each pavilion presents circulative solid exhibit, circulative background exhibit, circulative reflective exhibit based on circulation. These three types of exhibition is related the floor separation. Third, each pavilion exhibit zone shows the most circulation, solid, background, reflexibility through educational contents and promoting contents by using graphic, video, sound media.
Under Global Warming: More Organic Amendment is Essential to Compensate Soil Carbon Loss

Since the elevated air temperature and carbon dioxide (CO₂) concentration might simultaneously increase the net primary production (NPP) of plants as a carbon (C) input source and soil respiration (CO₂ emission) rate in the future climate condition, the impact of global warming on soil organic carbon (SOC) stock changes was not clearly concluded. Here we show that open top chamber experiment in rice paddy to investigate the changes of SOC stock under global warming condition. Three types of atmospheric condition were installed for a whole year as main treatments: present (14.4℃, 475ppm), after 50 years (16.3℃, 590ppm), and after 100 years (16.3℃, 690ppm). Conventional (NPK) and organic fertilizer treatments which were applied by only chemical fertilizer and green manure, respectively, for rice cultivation were additionally placed under each different atmospheric condition. In NPK treatment, rice straw was removed at harvesting stage. In organic fertilizer treatment, cover crop was cultivated during the fallow season, and rice straw and cover crop biomass were recycled after rice harvesting and before transplanting, respectively. Soil C stock change was estimated by analyzing net ecosystem C balance (NECB) which indicates the difference between C input and output. Under global warming, atmospheric CO₂ enhancement increased the NPP of rice with quadratic relationship in both fertilizations. In both vegetative and reproductive stage, global warming condition has fertilization effect on NPP, but the extent of increment became smaller under atmospheric condition after 100 years than after 50 years condition. In contrast, the NPP of cover crop (hairy vetch and barley mixture) was apparently increased with increasing CO₂ concentration. Soil respiration rates were significantly increased with increasing atmospheric temperature and CO₂ concentration particularly in fallow season. Under conventional cropping condition, the negative NECB which indicates soil C stock depletion was observed, due to big harvest removal, but it was changed with negative quadratic relationship. Organic farming showed much higher net C sequestration potential than conventional farming. We concluded that organic amendment application is inevitable to enhance soil C sequestration in global warming era to compensate stimulated C loss.
지하철 환승공간에서 경로탐색(wayfinding)을 위한 시환경 지각 요소에 관한 연구

The environmental considerations should be taken into full consideration in order to make the use of ground space as comfort and efficient as that of ground space. The visual environmental factors which provide visual informations in underground spaces where the environmental information can be acquired only by the surroundings expand their role as affordance for wayfinding. This study focuses on the visual performance evaluation of wayfinding factors on the subway transfer station platform and aisle as major space for movement in four subway transfe stations and analyzes the material, pattern, color, and lighting provided by the visual environment in underground space as directional marked label, regional differentiation and sign system. The results of this study comes are as follows. First, As to the directional marked label at the subway platform and transfer aisle, following patterns are colors, finishing materials and lighting for the sake of safety and convenience, And regional differentiation, following colors are patterns for the space division. Finally sign system which practically provides the most information, however, it is most insufficient to be a space-preception element. Second, According to the type of platform structures, such as an island platform and a separate platform, the main areas of and necessity for the space-perception elements may bring about changes. Third, these four stations that has been analyzed for this study, lighting, compared with color, finishing material and pattern, has been highly insufficient to be a perception element.

The purpose of this study was on the analysis of the current status of fitting room"s emotional design in SPA brand store. The research analysed by visual and audio elements such as color, illumination, sensitivity adjective, and noise degree for 6 SPA brand at Myeong-dong, Seoul during Sep. 24, Oct. 19, Nov. 09. 2012. Results of research were following. First, fitting rooms had achromatic colors and used low brightness and chroma colors. So, it made room feels soft and gentle. Second, ceiling and wall lights were mixed use, but few fitting rooms which were not fitted to KS standard, need revise the plan. Third, noise degrees of fitting rooms were all similar which is not break the standard boundary. According to study, simply analyzed current status of SPA brand store fitting room"s emotional design. Various types of study of fitting room needs to study for definite standard on fitting room hereafter.
