한국산 곡류의 Beauvericin의 오염도 조사 및 Beauvericin과 Enniatin 유도체 생성조건

The productions of beauvericin and enniatins H, I, and MK1688 by Fusarium oxysporum KFCC 11363P were investigated on rice substrate at four temperatures (15, 20, 25, and 30oC) and three moisture contents (10, 20, and 40%). The largest amount of beauvericin (718.0 μg/g) was produced at 25oC, and maximum levels of enniatin H (781.9 μg/g), I (725.8 μg/g), and MK1688 (425.8 μg/g) were measured by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) at the same temperature. The optimal moisture content for the production of beauvericin and enniatins H, I, and MK1688 was 40%, and the trace amounts of these toxins were observed at 10% moisture content. Sixty five grain samples (n=65) were tested for the monitoring of beauvericin. This mycotoxin was detected in six grain samples including three maize, two barley, and one wheat samples. The highest contamination level of beauvericin was observed in maize sample (0.23 μg/g). Identification of the origins of Panax ginseng has been issued in Korea scientifically and economically. We describe a metabolomics approach used for discrimination and prediction of ginseng roots from different origins in Korea. The fresh ginseng roots from six ginseng cooperative associations (Gangwon, Gaeseong, Punggi, Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, and Anseong) were analyzed by UPLC-MS-based approach combined with orthogonal projections to latent structure-discriminant analysis multivariate analysis. The ginsengs from Gangwon and Gaeseong were easily differentiated. We further analyzed the metabolomics results in subgroups. Punggi, Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, and Anseong ginseng could be easily differentiated by the first two orthogonal components. As a validation of the discrimination model, we performed blind prediction tests of sample origins using an external test set. Our model predicted their geographical origins as 99.7% probability. The robust discriminatory power and statistical validity of our method suggest its general applicability for determining the origins of P. ginseng samples.
Inhibitory Effects of Norwogonin, Oroxylin A, and Mosloflavone on Enterovirus 71

Severe complications associated with EV71 infections are a common cause of neonatal death. Lack of effective therapeutic agents for these infections underlines the importance of research for the development of new antiviral compounds. In the present study, the anti-EV71 activity of norwogonin, oroxylin A, and mosloflavone from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi was evaluated using a cytopathic effect (CPE) reduction method, which demonstrated that all three compounds possessed strong anti-EV71 activity and decreased the formation of visible CPEs. Norwogonin, oroxylin A, and mosloflavone also inhibited virus replication during the initial stage of virus infection, and they inhibited viral VP2 protein expression, thereby inhibiting viral capsid protein synthesis. However, ribavirin has a relatively weaker efficacy compared to the other drugs. Therefore, these findings provide important information that will aid in the utilization of norwogonin, oroxylin A, and mosloflavone for EV71 treatment.

As HMR (home meal replacement) food market grows rapidly, a new packaging with more HMR specialized functions is highly required to promote consumers' convenience. A susceptor is defined as a material generating heat by absorbing electromagnetic energy such typically as radiofrequency or microwave radiation. In microwave cooking, susceptors are made of conductive metal thin film deposited on paper or plastic sheet and have generally been used to help crispen or brown foods by converting microwave energy into heat. This mini review article deals with current status of microwave susceptor packaging including commercial products, technical theory, types of susceptor and a test method for heating performance.

Three new triterpene glycosides (Lonicerosides K, L and M) and 11 known compounds were isolated from the aerial parts of Weigela subsessilis. Among the known isolated compounds, loniceroside A, sweroside, kaempferol-3-O-glucopyranoside 600-(3-hydroxy-3-methylglutarate), kaempferol-3-O-acetylglucoside and grandifloroside were reported for the first time in a Weigela genus plant. Their chemical structures were identified using extensive spectroscopic analysis including two-dimensional (2D)-NMR experiments, HR-ESI-QTOF-MS and comparison with reported data. Among these compounds, lonicerosides A and L had potent melanogenesis stimulatory activity in murine B16F0 melanoma cells. The structural relationship of active compounds was discussed.
