        합성섬유의 방화성에 미치는 인 및 할로겐의 영향에 관한 연구

        This study has been designed to investigate the following subjects of polyester fabrics finished with bromine and phosphorus-containing flame retardants: a) flame retardancy b) Synergistic effect of bromine and phosphorus on flame retardancy c) relationship between LOI, bromine and phosphorus contents. Treated fabric containing 3.2% bromine, 0.2% phosphorus or 2.5% bromine, 2.0% phosphorus satisfies the requirements of self-extinguishing Property. It is found that the effect of bromine at fixed phosphorus contents plays an important role in increasing flame retardancy. Relationship between LOI, bromine and phosphorus in this study can be expressed by the following equation. -ln|S|=${\alpha}$-${\beta}$/LOI or LOI=${\beta}$/ln|S|/1+${\alpha}$/ln|S| where S: slope of P/Br atom ratio to bromine content at specific LOI levels ${\alpha}$: intercept on the -ln |S| axis ${\beta}$: slope of -ln |S| to 1/LOI

        알칼리처리에 의한 폴리에스테르 섬유의 유연가공에 관한 연구

        It is known that the handle of polyester fiber is improved by the loss of weight, when treated with alkalis. In this study, the effects of alkalis, solvents and accelerating agent on the weight loss of polyester fiber were investigated. When polyester fiber was treated with various alkalis, the weight loss was decreased in the order of KOH>NaOH>Na$_2$CO$_3$. With the increase of alkali concentration, temperature and treating time the weight loss was found to be increased. The weight loss was remarkably increased in alcoholic KOH rather than in aqueous KOH solution, and was decreased in the order of ethanol>propanol>butanol. The effect of the addition of accelerating agent on the weight loss was remarkable at high concentration, but that of accelerating agent on the weight loss was diminished at low concentration. Drape stiffness, flex stiffness and tearing strength was decreased with increasing the weight loss.

        혼방 직물의 방염가공에 관한 연구

        This study is to improve the flame retardancy of textile based on cotton and Polyester blended fabrics finished with Fyrol 76, N-methyolacrylamide and TBPP. In case of the cotton and polyester blended fabric used in the study, treated fabric containing 5%∼5.5% phosphorous, 1.5%∼2% nitrogen and 7.5%∼8% brome satisfies the requirements of DOC-FF 3∼7l. TGA analysis shows that speed and temperaure of thermal decomposition are lower than that of untreated fabric. Tearing strength and ball bursting strength are decreased as the concentration of treating solution is increased.

        Applicability of Deformation-Compatible Vertical Drain

        It has been noted that the discharge capacity of an installed vertical drain rapidly decreases with consolidation mainly due to flow area reduction and bending and/or kinking of the drain. To solve these two problems, this study attempts to develop the “Deformation-Compatible Vertical Drain (DCVD)”, with a new concept of replacing the existing stiff core with a spring structure. A modified triaxial test was conducted to investigate whether DCVD can solve the problem of flow area reduction. A centrifuge model test was conducted to investigate the deformation compatible function of the DCVD, as it interacts with the ground settlement and deforms in a vertical direction only. Lastly, a pilot-scale chamber test was carried out to evaluate the performance and adaptability of DCVD when applying it in the field. The results of three experimental tests demonstrate that DCVD does not show the bending and kinking of the drain even at a large ground settlement, and that it secures the flow area even at a high lateral pressure. Finally, it is considered that if the DCVD designed in this study is produced using the proper materials, the two problems observed in the existing vertical drains can be solved.

        Polyester Filament계의 호부에 관한 연구

        Size content variations of the sized yarns treated with various size recipes and physical properties there studied. The results were follows: 1. There is a tendency for size content of the sized yarns to change by the varieties of adhesives mixing ratio. The higher acrylic copolymer size ratio the more increase of size content appeared. 2. The lubricants mixed to the size liquor affected the take up percentage of size. The higher the concentration of the lubricant the more decrease of size content appeared 3. Strength and elongation of the sized yarn are affected by sizing. When size content of the sired yarn are increased, strength is increased a little but variation of elongation is increased. 4. The antistatic effects of the sized yarns are improved by the mixing of lubricant or antistatic agent. Concentration of lubricant in less than 1.0%, antistatic agent in less than 0.4% are effectual to improve the antistatic effect. (Received Feb. 21, 1973)

        A Genetic Algorithm for Minimizing Query Processing Time in Distributed Database Design: Total Time Versus Response Time

        질의실행시간최소화는 분산 데이타베이스 설계에 있어 가장 중요한 목적중의 하나이다. 총시간최소화는 온라인거래처리시스템의 목적인 반면, 반응시간최소화는 의사결정지원 질의시스템의 목적이다. 본 논문에서는 질의실행시간최소화를 달성하기 위해 질의를 세분화하여 최적의 데이터베이스 사이트에 할당하는 분석모델을 개발하였으며, 문제해결방법으로 유전자알고리즘을 채택하였다. 총시간최소화 관점에서의 질의실행 계획은 반응시간최소화 관점의 질의실행계획에는 적합하지 않다는 것을 증명하였으며, 그 반대의 경우도 증명하였다. 최대 20개의 조인이 포함되는 질의를 설계하여 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 테스트를 수행하였고, 유전자알고리즘과 완전한 전수조사와의 결과를 비교함으로써 모든 경우에 유전자알고리즘을 채택한 해결책이 최적의 결과를 도출하였음을 증명하였다. Query execution time minimization is an important objective in distributed database design. While total time minimization is an objective for On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP), response time minimization is for Decision Support queries. We formulate the sub-query allocation problem using analytical models and solve with genetic algorithm (GA). We show that query execution plans with total time minimization objective are inefficient from response time perspective and vice versa. The procedure is tested with simulation experiments for queries of up to 20 joins. Comparison with exhaustive enumeration indicates that GA produced optimal solutions in all cases in much less time.
