        Vasopressor requirement during targeted temperature management for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest caused by acute myocardial infarction without cardiogenic shock

        Objective We investigated whether patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) due to an acute myocardial infarction without cardiogenic shock required higher doses of vasopressors with low targeted temperature management (TTM) after return of spontaneous circulation. Methods We included consecutive comatose patients resuscitated from OHCA between January 2011 and December 2013. Patients with return of spontaneous circulation, regional wall motion abnormality on echocardiography, and coronary artery stenosis of ≥70% on percutaneous coronary artery angiography were enrolled. These patients received 36°C TTM or 33°C TTM following approval of TTM by patients’ next-of-kin (36°C and 33°C TTM groups, respectively). The cumulative vasopressor index was compared between groups. Results During induction phase, dose of vasopressors did not differ between groups. In the maintenance phase, the norepinephrine dose was 0.37±0.57 and 0.26±0.91 μg·kg-1·min-1 in the 33°C and 36°C TTM groups, respectively (P<0.01). During the rewarming phase, the norepinephrine and dopamine doses were 0.49±0.60 and 9.67±9.60 mcg·kg-1·min-1 in the 33°C TTM group and 0.14±0.46 and 3.13±7.19 mcg·kg-1·min-1 in the 36°C TTM group, respectively (P<0.01). The median cumulative vasopressor index was 8 (interquartile range, 3 to 8) and 4 (interquartile range, 0 to 8) in the 33°C and 36°C TTM groups, respectively (P=0.03). Conclusion In this study, patients with OHCA due to acute myocardial infarction without cardiogenic shock had an elevated vasopressor requirement with 33°C TTM compared to 36°C TTM during the maintenance and rewarming phases.

        잠실 올림픽주경기장 버스정류장 디자인 개발

        (Research Background and purpose) The goriest days of Jamil Olympic Stadium in 1988 is fading away from our memory. Although it’s being used for idol concerts, soccer games and other varieties of events now a days, the majority of the people who went through 88’ Olympics remembers all the moments when we all came together as one and made outstanding results even through difficult times. As an environmental design which appeals distinctiveness and identity of its place, we aim to develop a bus station for people to use conveniently and could also call out strong nostalgia of 88’ Seoul Olympic. Bus stops have been named by using large buildings or features around the stops, so that people can easily find them and remember them. In conjunction with this, we would like to develop a bus stop design among public facilities that are well suited to the surrounding urban environment while revealing historicity and symbolism. (Research Method) To develop the bus stop design which is the main purpose of this study, both domestic and foreign cases are examined and analyzed, and a survey was made on how people use the bus stop. Subsequently, the design is refined through sketching, modeling, and rendering. In the sketching stage, various concepts were considered making it into a formative feature and through modeling phase, the sketch is embodied and ergonomic dimensions are implied to 3D. Lastly, in the rendering stage, CMF is applied to create a simulation rendering. (Result) To define the concept of 88’ Olympic, stadium’s track rail was used as a key motif. The track field was selected as one of the most powerful image that came up when thinking of Olympics. In addition, LCD electronic display was placed at a right place which informs the bus route and arrival time for citizen’s convenience. An excellent result was made in terms of public design with modern and sophisticated form, not too colorful or childish parting from the surroundings. (Conclusion) This study derived an outstanding result through; harmony between spatial story and surrounding environment, user’s convenience, aesthetics of the product and more. Design trends were studied through both domestic and foreign cases, interview and surveys were conducted to derive results according to required functions and design preferences. There are many examples who tried to advertise their output too directly that does not harmonize with the surrounding environment and bit too excessive, but we hope our product can be used as basic data when designing environmental design installations by referring to the results derived from this study. (연구배경 및 목적) 1988년 잠실올림픽 주경기장은 예전의 영광은 잃어버린 채 우리 기억에서 멀어지고 있다. 아이돌 콘서트, 축구경기장 등 다양한 방법으로 활용하고 있지만, 88올림픽을 겪었던 국민들 대다수는 우리나라가 힘든 시기에 한마음으로 잘 치러냈던 올림픽의 기억을 가지고 있다. 잠실올림픽 주경기장이라는 장소의 특수성 및 정체성을 잘 어필할 수 있는 환경디자인으로 예전 1988년 서울올림픽의 진한 향수를 느낄 수 있고, 시민이 이용하기 편리한 버스정류장 디자인을 개발하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 버스 정류장은 사람들이 찾기 쉽고 가억하기 쉽도록 정류장 주변의 큰 건물이나 특징을 이용하여 이름을 붙이고 주변 환경과 상생하여 왔다. 이와 맞물려 역사성과 상징성을 잘 드러내면서 주변 도심 환경과 잘 어울리는 공공시설물 중 버스정류장 디자인 개발을 진행해 보고자 한다. (연구방법) 본 연구의 목적인 버스정류장 디자인을 개발하기 위해서 본 연구의 진행 체계는 크게 국내사례와 해외사례를 살펴보고 분석하고, 버스정류장을 이용하는 시민들이 버스정류장을 어떻게 이용하는지 분석 및 설문조사로 이루어진다. 이후 스케치와 모델링, 렌더링 작업을 통해 디자인을 구체화 시킨다. 스케치 단계에서는 다양한 콘셉트를 조형적으로 풀어나가는 과정을 고찰하며, 모델링 단계에서 스케치를 구체화 시키고 인체공학적인 치수를 대입하여 3D로 구현한다. 렌더링 단계에서는 모델링에 CMF를 적용하여 실제 사용되는 시뮬레이션 렌더링을 제작한다. (결과) 88서울올림픽을 대면할 수 있는 콘셉트로 ㅇ올림픽의 꽃이라 할 수 있는 경기장의 육상 레일을 모티브로 선정하였다. 설문조사 결과 올림픽을 떠올렸을 때 가장 강력하게 떠오르는 이미지 중 하나로 모티브를 선정하였다. 또한 시민들이 사용하기에 편리하도록 버스 노선도 및 예상도착시간을 알려주는 전광판 LCD도 적절한 위치에 배치하였다. 주변도시와 동떨어지게 컬러풀하거나 유치하기 않고 모던하고 세련된 디자인으로 공공디자인적인 측면에서 우수한 결과를 도출하였다. (결론) 본 연구는 특수한 공간적인 스토리와 주변 환경과의 조화, 이용자들의 편의성 독립적인 제품의 심미성 등 다양한 측변에서 고려하여 결과물을 도출하였다. 국내외 사례 분석을 통해 디자인 동향을 분석하였고, 이용자들을 관찰하고 인터뷰 및 설문조사를 진행하여 필요한 기능 및 디자인 선호도에 따라 결과물을 도출하였다. 공간에 스토리가 있거나 지자체에서 홍보하고 싶은 내용을 너무 직접적으로 표현해 환경에 어울리지 않게 유치하거나 과한 결과물이 나오는 경우가 많은데, 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과물을 참조하여 환경디자인 설치물 설계 시 기초자료로 사용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

        홈퍼니싱 융합 가구 디자인 개발 -스피커 기능 적용 테이블 디자인 제안 연구-

        The evolving trend in home appliances and furniture design focuses on creating har- monious living spaces that go beyond mere functionality. This study investigates the demand, consumption trends, and characteristics of the single-person household market, as well as the size, brands, and product lineups of the home furnishing market. Through extensive research, including literature reviews, data analysis from relevant institutions, and online/offline research, insights are drawn regarding convergence households and emerging trends in home furnishing. Subsequently, the design development process, including sketching, 2D drawing, 3D modeling, and rendering, is undertaken. The objective of this study is to propose furniture that combines a Bluetooth speaker and a table, targeting the 2030 generation based on thorough market re- search, target audience analysis, and preliminary research analysis. The speaker table seamlessly integrates speaker functionality tailored to the user's lifestyle with the element of a side table. Unlike previous IT-integrated furniture, which primarily focused on technology and function- ality, this speaker table adopts a minimalist design that seamlessly blends into the environment. The functional components of the speaker are discreetly hidden within a fabric-clad body, al- lowing the table to transform into a fusion furniture piece that not only produces sound but al- so exudes practicality and artistic aesthetics. This technology does not require extensive research personnel or facilities; rather, it can be easily adopted by small and medium-sized enterprises, effectively converging with furniture to meet the needs of the new generation. Through the de- sign process, furniture that harmoniously integrates technology, functionality, and space is achieved. The outcomes of this study provide various ideas for integrating appropriate technol- ogy into furniture, focusing on practicality rather than novel concepts, and further research and development in this field are intended. It is anticipated that this study will serve as a valuable reference for the development of diverse convergence furniture with appropriate technology to cater to the needs of the new generation. .

        물의 성질을 재현한 아트퍼니처 개발 연구

        Abstract: This thesis investigates the physical properties of water and explores the conditions necessary for its recognition based on these properties. Through a comprehensive analysis of lit- erature and extensive online/offline research, the main characteristics of water are identified. Furthermore, this study categorizes water's characteristics as material properties and conducts experimental research to determine the visual conditions required for people to perceive it as water. The ultimate objective is to develop an art furniture design that effectively replicates the properties of water, thereby enhancing human experiences. Materials capable of reproducing wa- ter's properties will be utilized in this endeavor. The research findings will inform the develop- ment and classification of art pieces that can visually resemble water and their subsequent appli- cation in art furniture. The design process will encompass the formulation of a design concept, ideation sketching, design drawings, and 3D modeling. Art furniture design utilizing various characteristics of water enables unique and creative expression. As a result, art furniture goes beyond a simple function and enters the realm of art. It is hoped that an approach like this study, which draws the user's experience into the space and presents a new experience, can show the new possibilities that art furniture design can have. .
