Development of Single‐Chain Antibodies Specific to Lysophosphatidic Acid Receptor 2

Lysophosphatidic acids (LPAs) are ubiquitous serum phospholipids that trigger diverse cellular responses such as cell proliferation, migration, cell survival, and calcium influx. LPA receptors belong to the G‐protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family, and seven subtypes of LPA receptors have been identified. Among them, LPA receptor 2 (LPA2) is involved in the proliferation and metastasis of ovarian, cervical, and breast cancers. Hence, LPA2‐specific antagonists or antibodies are considered as potential anticancer therapeutics. To develop antibodies against LPA2, a recombinant LPA2 was expressed in Escherichia coli, purified to homogeneity, and immobilized on a solid surface as an active conformation. An M13 phage library displaying single‐chain variable fragments (scFvs) of human IgG containing randomized complementarity‐determining regions was applied to select LPA2‐specific scFv clones. After five rounds of biopanning, a few scFv clones which showed specific binding to LPA2 were identified. Single‐chain antibodies (scAbs), which contain the isolated scFvs and Cκ domain, were constructed and expressed in E. coli. The purified scAbs showed specific binding to LPA2 with KD values of 200–600 nM.
Acute Cerebral Infarction Related to Stenosis of Accessory Middle Cerebral Artery

The accessory middle cerebral artery (MCA) is an anomalous vessel which arises from the anterior cerebral artery (ACA) and runs through the Sylvian fi ssure along with the normal MCA. Here we present a case of acute cerebral infarction in a patient with stenosis of the accessory MCA. The accessory MCA, which originated from the proximal A1 segment of the ACA, had severe focal stenosis in its proximal part and the ischemic lesions were in the frontal subcortical white matter. This case illustrates the anomalous vessel and its territory, the atheromatous vascular change, and the related ischemic insults.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang in two patients with erythema multiforme which ocurred repeatedly in stress condition.Methods: This case study was conducted in two erythema multiforme(EM) patients who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic. All two patients were treated with Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and acupuncture. VAS(Visual Analogue Scale) score was used to check the subjective change of skin symptoms and itching sense.Results & Conclusions: The VAS score were decreased compared to the initial visit in all two patients in our study. And most skin symptoms and itching sense of two patients were improved. As a result of examining VAS scores and photographs, Sihochunggan-tang gagambang can be effective on EM in two cases in our study.
스마트 운전자 보조 시스템에서 영상인식기법의 실시간 처리를 위한 운전 상태 기반의 동적 프레임 제외 기법

기술의 발전에 따라 다양한 응용을 위한 장치가 연구 및 개발되고 있으며 운전자 보조 시스템은 그 중 대표적인 기술이다. 운전자 보조 시스템 기술은 차량 주변의 정보를 인식하기 위해 영상인식 기법을 사용한다. 차량에 적용되는 운전자 보조 장치는 계산시간이 오래 걸리는 다수의 영상인식기법을 실시간으로 처리하는데 어려움이 존재한다. 이를 위해 제한된 하드웨어에서 영상인식 기법의 실시간 처리를 위한 동적 프레임 제외 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 연구에서 프레임 제외는 처리시간에 비례하여 정적으로 설정되었으며 처리 할 수 있는 영상인식기법의 수가 적음을 알 수 있다. 차량의 속도와 가속도를 통해 주행상태를 파악하여 동적으로 프레임 제외률을 설정하고 그에 맞게 영상인식 기법을 처리하여 그 수를 최대화시켰다. 실험을 통해 처리 수가 정적 기법에 비해 32.5% 상승함을 확인하였다. According to evolution of technologies, many devices related to various applications were researched. The advanced driver assistance system is a famous technique effected from the evolution. The technique of driver assistance uses image recognition methods to collect exactly information around the vehicle. The computing power of driver assistance device has become more improved than in the past. However, it's difficult that processed various recognition methods at real-time. We propose new frame skip method to process various recognition methods at real-time in the limited hardware. In the previous researches, frame skip rate was set up static values, thus the number of processed frames through recognition methods was smaller. We set up the frame skip rate dynamically using a driving condition of vehicle through speed and acceleration value, in addition, the number of processed frames was maximized. The performance is improved more 32.5% than static frame skip method.
실시간 철도안전 통합 감시제어시스템 신뢰성 검증에 관한 연구

최근 정보통신기술의 발전에 따라 철도 분야에서도 다양한 IT 기술을 접목하려는 시도가 많아졌다. 현재까지 안전 관제 시스템이 현장에 설치되어 실제 데이터를 이용해 운영 중이지만 실제 상황에서 사고가 발생하지 않는다는 점에서 철도 안전 관제 시스템의 기능 확인이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 임의로 사고 데이터를 발생시켜 안전관제 시스템이 정상적으로 동작하는 지 확인하고, 이를 위해 사고 데이터를 발생시킬 시뮬레이터와 사고 시나리오 및 시나리오에 따른 시뮬레이션 데이터를 작성하였으며, 실시간 철도 안전 통합 감시 제어 시스템은 철도 현장에서 데이터를 수집하고 변환하여 전송하며, 각종 철도 안전 설비의 데이터를 인터페이스 장치에서 수합, DDS 라는 공통의 프로토콜로 변환 후 안전 관제 통합 콘솔 및 위험/사고 예측 서버로 전달하여 철도 사고를 감시하고 예방할 수 있을 것으로 사료 된다. With the recent development of information and communication technology, there have been many attempts to apply various IT technologies in the railway field. Until now, the safety control system has been installed at the site and operated using actual data, but there is a problem that it is difficult to verify the function of the railway safety control system in that no accidents occur in real situations. In this study, accident data is generated randomly to verify that the safety control system is functioning properly, and to this end, simulation data is prepared according to the simulator, accident scenario and scenario. Real-time railway safety monitoring system collects and transmits data from interface devices to common protocol called DDS.

The purpose of this study was to research for anti-oxidation and anti-wrinkle effects of Acar mono Sap (AM). To cosmetic effect of AM, safety effect (MTT assay), anti-wrinkle effect (elastase, MMP-1 inhibition assay) and anti-oxidant effect (DPPH assay) were measured. When water extract of AM was used for cell viability, it was over 100% at 6% (6 ml/100 ml in phosphate buffer) concentration. AM showed 45.7% elastase inhibition and 23.7% MMP-1 inhibition at 50% (50 ml/100 ml in phosphate buffer) concentration so that it had good anti-wrinkle characteristic. And AM showed 68.9% antioxidation capacity at 50% concentration by using a DPPH assay. Consequently, AM can be used as natural materials or additives for human skin owing to their beneficial biologic functions, including the anti-wrinkle effect, for cosmetic compositions.
