A palavra ‘cabeça’ tem vários significados, a começar desde a parte do corpo humano até pensamento ou cargo, graças à expansão da rede semântica da palavra. Assim, cabeça significa parte do corpo humano, o líder de um grupo e pode até se referir a ideias abstratas como o pensamento e a razão, por exemplo. Existem também expressões idiomáticas como ‘passar a mão na cabeça de alguém’ ou ‘fazer a cabeça’ entre outros. Toda esta diversidade semântica da palavra ‘cabeça’ pode ser explicada através da metáfora e metonímia, que se baseam no experimentalismo, já que o corpo físico é o primeiro contato de todas as experiências humanas. Neste artigo, observaremos a maneira com que o significado da palavra ‘cabeça’ se expande, à luz da metáfora e metonímia, da linguística cognitiva. A importância deste estudo está também em explicar o mecanismo de expansão da palavra ‘cabeça’ no português brasileiro para os estudantes coreanos da língua portuguesa, já que muitas expressões tem fortes traços culturais e sociais do Brasil. Enquanto os falantes da língua portuguesa como língua materna simplesmente usam estas expressões como tal, elas nem sempre são compreensíveis para os estudantes estrangeiros. Assim, a compreensão do mecanismo de expansão semântica, facilitará o aprendizado do português como língua estrangeira. The word ‘cabeça’has various meanings, starting from a part of the human body to thought or position, thanks to the extension of the semantic network. Therefore, ‘cabeça’ means a part of the human body, a group leader and also refer to abtract ideas such as thought and the reason, for instance. There are also idiomatic expressions such as ‘passar a mão na cabeça de alguém’ or ‘fazer a cabeça’ and many others. Such a semantic diversity on the word ‘cabeça’ can be explained through metaphore and metonym, which are based on experimentalism, since the physical body is the first contact among all the human experience. In this study, we will observe how the meaning of the word ‘cabeça’ expands, based on the metaphore and metonym. The importance of this study is also in explaining the mechanism of expansion the word ‘cabeça’ in Brazilian Portuguese for Korean students in this language, since many of the expressions has strong Brazilian cultural and social background. While native Portuguese speakers simply use these expressions naturally, these same expressions are never easy to understand for foreign students. Therefore, understanding the semantic expansion mechanism will facilitate Portuguese learning as a foreign language.

포르투갈어와 한국어의 개념적 은유 대조 연구 - ‘인기’와 ‘인터넷’을 중심으로

This study aims to identify how the abstract concepts of ‘fame’ and ‘internet’ is structured in Portuguese in the scope of cognitive linguistics and contrast them to Korean ones. To that aim, the study presents Conceptual Metaphor Theory which explains how metaphor is present in the way we think about the world and how it this way of thinking can vary according to a culture of language. A parallel corpus was constructed with metaphors from the dialogue in two Brazilian movies and with its legends in Korean and complemented with existing metaphoric expressions in case the translation had not been effectuated into a metaphor. The analysis shows that the notion of ‘fame’ is structured in the following metaphors for both Portuguese and Korean: FAME IS RESULT OF VITORY IN A WAR, FAME IS PUMP, FAME IS POWER. Meanwhile, for Korean, CHARM CAUSES DEATH, FAME CAUSES DEATH and FAME IS HOT metaphors. Metaphors about ‘internet’ for both Portuguese and Korean were INTERNET IS SPACE, INTERNET IS A ENTITY, INTERNET IS A BOARD, INTERNET IS TOOL and A SPACE IN THE INTERNET (BLOG) IS POSSESSION. INTERNET IS A POSTAL PACKAGE metaphors is coherent only in Portuguese and INTERNET IS GOSSIP, INTERNET IS UP and INTERNET IS A COMPANY are valid only in Korean. Despite the contribution this study may have in the field of Portuguese-Korean studies, it was held with a small corpus extracted from two Brazilian movies and limited to conceptual metaphors, without discerning metonymies or metaphoric expressions. 본 연구의 목적은 인지언어학적 시각에서 ‘인기’와 ‘인터넷’ 개념이 포르투갈어에서 어떠한 개념적 은유 체계를 갖는지 살펴보고, 한국어의 체계와 대조하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 은유가 일상적 개념체계의 근본이 된다고 설명하는 개념적 은유이론을 소개하여 인간이 어떻게 사고하는지, 어떠한 방식으로 세상을 바라보는지, 그리고 사회 문화적 맥락의 차이점 등으로 인해 생각하고 행동하는 방법이 문화마다 다를 수 있음을 이론적 배경으로 제시한다. 연구 방법으로는 포르투갈어와 한국어 병렬코퍼스를 대상으로 양 언어를 대조 분석한다. 브라질 영화 <오늘부터 로그아웃>과 <러브닷컴>에서 ‘인기’와 ‘인터넷’과 관련된 은유를 추출하여 소규모 포르투갈어-한국어 병렬코퍼스를 구축하여 ‘인기’와 ‘인터넷’에 대한 포르투갈어 개념적 은유를 한국어와 대조하여 살펴보는데, 본 연구를 위한 병렬코퍼스는 포르투갈어 대사와 해당 대사의 한국어 자막으로 구성된다. 분석 결과, 포르투갈어에서 ‘인기’는 [인기는 전쟁 승리의 결과물], [인기는 펌프], [인기는 권력] 은유로 이해하여 개념화하는 것을 보았다. 이와 달리, 한국어에서는 [매력은 죽음], [인기 많음은 죽음], [인기는 뜨거움] 은유가 사용되는 것을 보았다. ‘인터넷’에 대한 [인터넷은 공간], [인터넷은 개체] [인터넷은 게시판], [인터넷은 도구] 은유는 포르투갈어와 한국어에서 모두 사용되고 있음을 찾아냈다. [인터넷 공간(블로그)은 소유물]은유는 포르투갈어에서 발견되었고, [인터넷 게시물은 우편물] 은유는 한국어와 정합하지 않아 포르투갈어에서만 사용되는 것으로 나타났다. 그 반대로 한국어에서만 정합하여 포르투갈어 개념체계에서 발견되지 않는 은유는 [인터넷은 소문], [인터넷은 위에 위치함], [블로그는 기업]이다. 본 연구를 통해 포르투갈어-한국어 언어쌍의 개념적 차이를 부분적으로 조명할 수 있을 것이라는 기대를 하지만, 분석 대상이 영화 두 편이라는 소규모에 그쳤다는 점과 개념적 은유만을 살피는 연구로써 환유, 은유적 표현 등으로 세부적으로 다루지 못한 점 등을 본 연구의 한계점으로 밝힌다.

국내 입원한 성인 암환자의 정맥영양 사용에 대한 후향적 연구

Purpose: There have been no clinical studies on the characteristics of parenteral nutrition (PN) for adult cancer inpatients in South Korea. The published evidence describing modern PN practices in these patients is also extremely limited. Therefore in this retrospective multicenter cross-sectional study, we aimed to investigate the PN support practice in hospitalized adult cancer patients. Methods: The study included adult cancer patients hospitalized in nine hospitals in South Korea and received PN, during the period from August 1st, 2017 to October 30th, 2017. We evaluated the relevant hospital-based PN practices in this group. Results: Among the 11,580 inpatient admissions during this period, 759 cancer patients received PN (6.6%). The majority of enrolled patients (97.2%) used commercially available PN and 71.2% of these used peripheral PN formulations. The average in-hospital PN duration was 16.1±19.9 days. Patients received only 65.4±25.4% calories of the recommended target calories. The in-hospital mortality of enrolled patients was 26.1%. Conclusion: We conclude that commercial PN is the most common form of PN administered to hospitalized adult cancer patients and the overall in-hospital mortality in the patients using PN is higher in South Korea compared to other countries.

Abdominal pregnancies are a small fraction of ectopic pregnancies. They usually implant on the pelvic cavity after disruption of the initial implantation site in the tubes, but they have been reported from all over the peritoneal cavity. In this case, the conceptus was implanted in the inferior-posterior area of the right hepatic lobe. Surgical resection of a hepatic pregnancy may result in massive and even fatal hemorrhage. We report a case of hepatic pregnancy that had successful resolution by systemic intramuscular methotrexate injection only.

As part of development of the 5-head router machine, design of a tooling system has been studied. As a preliminary study, various types of tool holding systems are investigated and analysed. The machine under development is designed to pursue high productivity and high precision. As a result, it requires multiple heads and high speed spindle. For the high speed design, it is important to prevent an elastic deformation by the high speed, which may be significant at the end of spindle. The deformation causes inaccurate fitting and vibrations which directly affect the precision of machining and overall performance of the machine. For the high speed design the two-face-contact tooling system such as HSK type is considered. A BT type which has one-face contact and been traditionally used is compared with the HSK type by numerical calculations of the deformation. It is found the two-face-contact system has better performance with respect to the reduction of deformation. Also important design factors to improve performance of tool holder are identified which include clamping force, contact area, taper angle etc.

한국의 집중영양치료료와 주사제 무균조제료- 고영양수액제 현황 조사: 2014~2020

Background : The purpose of this study was to describe the number and profiles of patients consulted by the nutrition support team (NST). Methods : We studied the claims data of the Health Insurance & Assessment Service (HIRA) in Korea August 2014 to December 2020. Results : Compared to 2015, the number of patients, count of NST consultation fee, and total amount of consultation fee increased 53.4%, 59.8%, and 75.0%, respectively, in 2020. However, the total number of patients and count of aseptic preparation fee of parenteral nutrition (PN) in 2020 compared to 2015 decreased by 17.3% and 11.7%, respectively. Both fees of NST consultation and aseptic preparation of PN were concentrated in the metropolitan area, and the aseptic preparation fees of PN were particularly focused on tertiary hospitals. NST consultation fees in patients age 65 or older accounted for 55.6% of all patients, while aseptic preparation fees of PN in patients age 5 or younger accounted for 47.9%. Though the count of aseptic preparation fees of PN continued to decrease, that of NST consultation fees are increasing. It suggests that clinical pharmacists have shifted from aseptic preparation-oriented work to consultation-oriented work. Conclusion : This study reported the economic aspects of NST consultation for the first time since its establishment in August 2014 in Korea. It indirectly suggests that the advisory activities of pharmacists, an essential human resource for nutrition therapy, are increasing.

This paper is on the development of a new machine for removing membranes and deburring which is exclusively designed for aircraft frame components of slender shape. The machine has been developed from innovative ideas at the early stage of concept design and modifications through a series of design changes. Some structural analysis results for the development and test results for the performance evaluation are reported. Some technical difficulties such as on fixtures caused by the particular configuration that is thin layer shape of long slender body are also discussed.

This paper presents a general description of single and dual contact tooling systems, finite element analysis, and discussions on the application of the system to the 5-head router machine which is in particular for aerospace components. This study has been performed as part of the development of the new generation 5-head router machine which is designed for high productivity. Such high productivity in essence requires high speed rotation and multiple spindles in one machine. The high speed rotation may exceed a range in a conventional single contact tooling system. The conventional tooling system is reevaluated in comparison with the dual-contact system. Finite element analysis using simplified spindle models compares major differences in the two systems. Some problems in the application to the 5-head router machine are discussed.

사서교사의 학교도서관 유튜브 운영 활성화 방안

사상 초유의 팬데믹 사태를 맞아 학교도서관 역시 주로 대면 활동에 국한되었던 기존 서비스와는 차별화된 온라인 환경에서의 비대면 서비스 제공 방안을 모색해야 한다. 본 연구는 유튜브 채널 운영을 활용한 학교도서관 서비스를 위한 기초 연구로, 실제 유튜브 채널을 운영 중인 학교도서관 사서교사를 대상으로 심층면담(FGI)을 실시하여 이들의 유튜브 운영 경험을 통한 학교도서관 서비스 인식, 필요성 그리고 구체적인 요구 내용 등을 조사하고 이를 기반으로 향후 학교도서관 유튜브 운영 활성화 방안을 제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. 그 결과, 1) 유튜브 채널 홍보 확대, 2) 학교 도서관 유튜브 체제 확립, 3) 교육청 차원의 지원, 마지막으로 4) 사서교사 차원의 개인적 노력의 4가지 관점으로 활성화 방안을 제안하였다. 후속 면담을 통해 본 연구에서 제시된 활성화 방안이 현재 유튜브 운영하고 있는 사서교사의 업무에 바로 적용 가능한 제안인지 검증하였다. In the face of unprecedented pandemics, School libraries should also seek ways to provide non-face-to-face services in an online environment differentiated from existing services, which were mainly limited to face-to-face activities. This study is a basic study for school library services using the operation of YouTube channels. Thourgh the FGI was conducted on teacher librarians of school libraries who are operating YouTube channel, we investigated the awareness, necessity, and specific requirements of school libraries. Furthermore, The second interview to verify the feasibility of our propose ways to activate the operation of school libraries on YouTube in the future.
