        To predict the dynamic behaviour of railway vehicle, the complex vehicle structure has been described by mathmatical model such as mass, spring and damper. Air-spring has played a major role to improve dynamic characteristics, vibration isolation and ride comfort. The mechanical behaviour of air spring is very complicated. The behaviour is based on fluid and thermodynamic mechanisms. The main parameters of air spring are stiffness due to compression of the air in the spring and surge reservoir, change of area stiffness and orifice damping. In this paper, we have studied an air-spring modeling method and compared the difference between calculation and test.

        Unlike most animals, humans are unable to synthesize vitamin C and dependent on vitamin C from vegetables or fruits. Vitamin C deficiency may lead to hyperkeratosis of hair follicles, gingivitis, anemia, arthritis, general fatigue, and depression, and may cause bleeding within the soft tissues. The diagnosis of scurvy can often overlooked because it is rarely encountered in present-day society. A 54-year-old male admitted hospital because of right leg pain due to huge hematoma. He had no trauma and medication history. He`s been unemployed, and rarely eating vegetable and fruit for decades. We could see huge painful hematoma of right thigh. Erythematous and swollen gingiva was also noted. His coagulation profiles were within normal limits. However his blood cell count, the concentration of vitamin C and folate were low. As we diagnosed as scurvy, we supplied vitamin C and folic acid to him. This treatment leads to rapid reversal of scorbutic changes. Scurvy should be considered as a differential diagnosis in the setting of hemorrhagic disease, and detailed history taking is necessary. Along with literature review, we report a case of scurvy accompanied by pancytopenia whose clinical and hematologic symptoms improved with administration of vitamin and folic acid.

        불량한 장정결에서의 장정결제와 치료: 설문조사

        Background/Aims: There are no established guidelines for bowel preparation formulation for bowel cleansing, nor is there an optimal method of dealing with inadequate bowel cleansing. This study investigated bowel preparation formulation preferences and responses to bowel preparation situations using surveys. Methods: The study surveyed 221 Korean lower gastrointestinal endoscopists from January to March 2015 and assessed their responses. Results: The analysis indicated that 2-L polyethylene glycol (PEG) plus ascorbic acid (Asc) was the preferred method (76.5%) and most responders expressed satisfaction with the formulation in both potency and safety. To address poor bowel preparation on the day of colonoscopy, the majority of physicians chose to order ingestion of additional preparations and proceed with the colonoscopy as scheduled (56.6%). In addition, concerns about renal safety and electrolyte stability were raised regarding oral sodium phosphate. Conclusions: This study found that 2-L PEG+Asc was preferred for potency and safety, and that Korean endoscopists preferred to proceed with colonoscopy in poor bowel preparation situations rather than choose an alternate diagnostic modality.       • 철도차량의 Sway 특성에 관한 연구

        When a vehicle is running on the curve, the motion of the vehicle is subjected to a cant deficiency or cant excess. And the vehicle will move laterally, vertically and roll, this combination of movements is called sway. All modern vehicle suspensions with air-springs have non-linear characteristics, and the extent of the sway of a vehicle is dependent upon the suspension characteristics. The safe operation of a rail vehicle on the infrastructure is dependent upon maintaining adequate clearance between the vehicle and adjacent structures. We have described the sway calculation procedure according to BASS501 in this paper, and compared the calculation result with the sway test results.

        Suspensions of railway vehicle have played a major role to improve ride quality and safety of the vehicle. So it is important to use appropriate suspension elements which affect dynamic characteristics of the vehicle. Primary and secondary suspensions which include rubber element have the characteristics of hysteresis. To model the hysteresis spring in detail, it is necessary to use user subroutine with VAMPIREⓡ Pro. In this paper, Sway and dynamic characteristics of vehicle according to the hysteresis of suspensions were studied.

        Generally railway vehicle runs on the rail with endless interaction between wheel and rail. Irregularity of rail causes the periodic motion of the vehicle. In association with this motion, the design of vehicle would be carried out in order to avoid the resonance between car-body and bogie. It may be seen that the first vertical bending mode of car-body contributes considerably to the vertical ride comfort level. In this paper to know the effect of the car-body first vertical bending mode on vertical ride comfort, the mode has been considered with dynamic model. I-DEAS program was used to get the car-body first vertical bending mode and VAMPIRE program was used to analyze ride comfort index(Wz) with FE interface file.

        EU 국경조치의 TRIPS 합치성에 관한 연구

        지적재산권의 시행은 지적재산권의 침해를 방지하고 침해에 대한 구제방법을 확보하는 것을 의미하므로, 지적재산권의 실효성 있는 보호와 보장을 위해 매우 중요하다. 위조 및 불법복제의 급증에 대응하기 위해 선진국들은 지적재산권의 시행을 강화하는 방안을 마련하였고, 이와 같은 TRIPS-Plus 경향은 ACTA를 비롯한 다양한 시도를 통해서 확산되고 있다. EU는 제3국에서의 지적재산권 보호 수준을 높이고, 국경에서 지적재산권의 관리·감독을 강화하겠다는 의지를 신통상정책안에 담았다. 이러한 EU의 의지는 역내 입법과 양자간 FTA, 더 나아가 최근의 ACTA에 그대로 반영되어 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 TRIPS-Plus 방식의 지적재산권 시행에 대해서 선진국과 개발도상국간의 이해관계가 첨예하게 대립하고 있으므로 양측의 입장을 살피고 향후 방향성을 검토해 보는 것은 매우 중요한 과제이다. 본고에서는 EU의 지적재산권 시행 중 위조 및 불법복제상품에 대한 국경조치에 관한 규정을 살펴보고, 이들 조치의 WTO 합치성을 검토한다. 우선 EU 이사회 규칙 1383/2003과 한-EU FTA에 반영된 국경조치 규정을 통해서 EU의 TRIPS-Plus 지적재산권 시행 규칙의 특성을 분석하고, 최근 타결된 ACTA의 국경 조치 규정을 비교하여 검토한다. 이를 통해 최소기준으로서의 TRIPS협정을 넘어서는 EU TRIPS-Plus 국경조치의 주요 특징을 파악할 수 있다. 둘째, EU의 TRIPS-Plus 국경조치를 특허침해상품에 대한 국경조치와 수출예정 상품과 통과 중 상품에 대한 국경조치로 나누어 WTO 사례를 중심으로 합치성을 검토하고자 한다. 특허침해상품과 수출예정 상품에 대한 국경조치는 제4절의 요건이 충족된다는 전제 하에 최대기준으로 작용하는 TRIPS협정에 합치하는 방향으로 취해질 수 있다. 그러나 통과 중 상품, 특히 제네릭 의약품에 대한 국경조치는 지적재산권의 보호와 공중보건에 대한 고려라는 대립되는 가치의 추구, GATT 및 TRIPS협정 규정의 해석에 따라 TRIPS협정에 합치되지 않는다. 이에 대하여 향후 WTO 패널의 결정을 주목해야 할 것이고, 최소기준뿐만 아니라 최대기준으로서 작용하는 TRIPS협정의 가치가 재검토되어야 할 것이다. 지적재산권 보호에 있어서 주요 선진국과 어깨를 나란히 하고 있는 우리나라도 TRIPS-Plus 경향의 수용 여부와 향후 전개 방향에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 전개해야 한다. The enforcement of intellectual property rights means the prevention of infringing intellectual property rights and the secure of remedies, and it is very important to protect IPRs effectively. It has been at the center of the debate in various international forums, regional or bilateral negotiations on economic partnership or free trade agreements. Following the footprint of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights(TRIPS) of the World Trade Organization(WTO), one of the most profitable deals for developed countries are now pushing for TRIPS-Plus standards on IP enforcement as a new strategic priority to deal with a rapid increase of the counterfeit and piracy. In order to strengthen IPR enforcement and streamlining procedures, the EU are reviewing the rules for customs taking action at the EU border. The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement(ACTA) aims to establish a comprehensive international framework that will assist its members effectively to combat the infringement of IPRs. However, developed countries have met well-founded resistance from the developing countries in IP negotiations within the framework of the WTO and the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO). This paper attempts to review the EU border measures to the counterfeit and piracy and examine the TRIPS consistency of EU border measures. We can find the main features of EU TRIPS-Plus border measures beyond the minimal standards of TRIPS. And we can also find that seizing goods merely in transit (unlike goods involving patent infringement or goods destined for exportation) based on alleged IP infringements according to the law of the transit country may run counter to the TRIPS obligation. If one takes the balance that TRIPS establishes between IP protection, free trade and other societal concerns seriously, the additional IP protection that upsets this balance should equally be scrutinized for its TRIPS consistency. We should pay attention to the panel’s next decisions at the WTO and discuss the acceptance of TRIPS-Plus trend or not.

        한국 제2형 당뇨병 남성에서 FGF-21과 비알코올성 지방간의 연관성

        Background/Aims: Serum fibroblast growth factor-21 (FGF-21) levels are elevated in obesity, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. Clinical studies have demonstrated an association between FGF-21 and nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) in the general population. This study investigated the association between FGF-21 and NAFL in Korean men with type 2 diabetes. Methods: Clinical and biochemical metabolic parameters were measured in 135 Korean men with type 2 diabetes (mean age: 56.2 ± 9.2 years; HbA1C: 7.6 ± 1.5%). Serum FGF-21 was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. NAFL severity was assessed by ultrasound of the liver. High-grade (hg) NAFL was defined as moderate or severe fatty liver. Results: The patients were divided into three subgroups according to NAFL severity: normal (17.0%), low-grade (50.4%), and high-grade (32.6%). Patients with hgNAFL had a larger waist circumference and higher body mass index (BMI), homeostatic model assessment-estimated insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) score, and triglyceride (TG), liver enzyme, and FGF-21 levels than those with a normal liver. FGF-21 correlated positively with BMI, serum creatinine (Cr), TG, liver enzymes, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, but negatively with high density lipoprotein (HDL). In multivariate regression analysis, Cr and TG were independently associated with FGF-21. BMI, TG, HDL, HOMA-IR, and FGF-21 correlated strongly with hgNAFL. The odds ratio (OR) of a 1-standard-deviation increase in FGF-21 predicting hgNAFL was 2.39 (95% confidence interval, 1.55?3.68). The OR remained significant after adjustment for Cr, TG, BMI, and HOMA-IR. Conclusions: Our findings suggest an independent association of serum FGF-21 with NAFL in Korean men with type 2 diabetes.       • 공항철도 차량 동특성 해석 및 시험에 관한 연구

        Airport railroad have required maximum design speed 120㎞/h and wind speed 50m/s condition as design item of airport railroad vehicles. To design and manufacture the vehicle satisfying these conditions, it must carry out the dynamic behaviors analysis such as hunting stability, ride comfort derailment ratio, unloading ratio and lateral force to meet the criterion described in Urban Railroad Act. Dynamic behaviors of vehicle have carried out using the multi-body dynamics simulation program(VAMPIRE). This paper presents the evaluation methods and criterion used to verify dynamic performance of airport railroad vehicle, and show the analysis results of vehicle dynamic simulation and the test results for vibration and ride comfort measured on running performance tests . As a results, each analysis results and test results meet the criterion described in Urban Railroad Act.
