This paper presents the design and implementation of the Visual IPC(Inter Process Communication) package of UNIX System V that supports visual execution environments. The concurrent program is required for the development of Operating Systems and real-time computing environments. However, it takes more time and cast in development, design, and error correction phase than those of conventional programs. The Visual IPC package provides visual execution environments by showing data exchanges and the synchronization among processes. Therefore, it can save time and cost when it used for concurrent program development. And also, it can be used for instruction tools to improve understanding of concurrent programs. This paper is implemented on the Mips-2030 Unix System V.
Deposition of Controllable Nanoparticles by Hybrid Aerodynamic and Electrostatic Spray

Generating uniform and size controllable nanoparticles are important for various analytical and industrial applications. Here, we propose the hybrid aerodynamic and electrostatic spray system with a large amount of size-controlled nanoparticles. The aerodynamic force easily produces a large amount of sprayed droplets and the electric field assists in secondary breakup of sprayed droplets. The charge of droplets was evaluated to understand the mechanism of controllable particle size because the size and uniformity of particles are determined by the distributions of droplets after evaporation. The distributions of particles are evaluated with a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS) technique and a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) images. The size and aggregation of the particles are reduced and controlled by electric field strengths.
시각적 수행 환경을 가지는 IPC도구의 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 병행 프로그램 도구인 UNIX System V 의 IPC(InterProcess Communication)도구에 수행과정의 시각화 기능과 단계적 수행 기능을 부여한 시각적 환경을 가지는 IPC도구를 설계 구현하였다. 병행 프로그램은 운영체제, 실시간 시스템등의 개발에 필수적이지만 개발과 오류수정 단계에서 많은 시간과 노력이 소요된다. 프로세스들간의 자료전달과 동기화를 보여줄 수 있는 시각적 환경을 가지는 IPC도구를 병행 프로그램의 개발에 사용한다면 오류정정시에 소요되는 많은 시간과 노력을 절감할 수 있을 것이며, 또 이 논문에서 개발한 시각적 환경을 가진 IPC도구를 교육에 응용한다면 병행 프로그램의 이해를 높이는 데 좋은 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 MIPS사의 RS-2030 UNIX System의 X-Window System 상에서 구현하였다.

Conventional electrospray and air spray methods have the vulnerabilities of limited flow rate (throughput) and droplet size, respectively. Since high throughput with uniform size of droplet is required for various applications, an improved technique should be adopted. Here, we report a combined system of an air pressure and an electric field and evaluate the atomization performance of it. The air flow allowed applying high flow rate range and the electric field reinforced the atomization process to generate fine droplets. A correlation between two forces was investigated by comparing the droplet produced by each method. The atomized droplets were measured and visualized by image processing and a particle image velocimetry (PIV). The quantitative results were achieved from the parametric space and the effect of both forces was analyzed. The motion of charged droplets followed the outer electric field rather than the complex vortex in the shear layer so that the droplets accelerated directly toward the grounded collector.
