The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of various electroacupuncture duration induced by acupuncture point-Zusanli (S36) electric stimulation on inhibition of amplitude of digastric electromyogram (dEMG) evoked by noxious electric stimuli around the mental foramen. Experiments were conducted on adult rats (SD) anesthetized with intraperitoneal sodium pentobarbital (Entobar^TM) in an initial dose of 50 ㎎/㎏ and treated with atropine sulfate. Maintenance doses of 4.5 ㎎/㎏/h were given through a cannula in the femoral vein using a constant infusion pump. A pair of stimulating electrodes were inserted for noxious stimuli around the mental foramen. An irritant electric stimuli pulse (0.2 Hz, 0.1 ms duration) was produced with an intensity of about 1.5∼2 times there should for evoking the dEMG. The anterior belly of the digastric muscle was exposed and a pair of 0.1㎜ wire electrodes were inserted for dEMG recording. The magnitude of the dEMG was estimated by averaging the size of about 10 superimposed dEMGs recorded on an oscilloscope. Acupuncture point stmulation on Zusanli (2 Hz, 250 ㎲, biphasic pulse, 2 V) was delivered by Dental Electronic Anesthesia (3M, U.S.A). For periods of electronic stimulation of 10, 20, and 30min, the amplitudes of dEMG were measured on the oscilloscope and on the monitor connected to the amplifier. The rate of inhibition of the amplitudes of dEMG were analysed using percentages. The following results were obtained : The digastric electromyogram was decreased to 73.4% of that in the control set after 10 min electroacupunture stimulation (Group I); The digastric electromyogram was decreased to 77.1% (10min)m 54.0% (20min) of that in the control set after 20minutes of electroacupunture stimulation (Group Ⅱ). The digastric electromyogram was decreased to 73.3% (10min), 61.9% (20min), 76.2% (30min) of that in the control set after 30 min of electroacupunture stimulation (Group Ⅲ). From these results, it may be that in the electroacupuncture stmulation on the Zsusnali resulted in a reduction of amplitude of dEMG and that the most effective electroacupuncture stimulation period was 20min.

Netunea intersculpta로부터 새로운 렉틴을 0.15 M NaCl로 추출하여 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$로 침전분리시킨 후 DE 52, hydroxyapatite, chromatofocusing 등으로 정제 하였다 (NIB). NIB는 lactose, N-acetyl-D-galactosamine, D-galactose 특이성이고, 등전점은 pH 3.8이며, subunit는 분자량이 68,000, 66,000, 61,000의 세 종류로 추정 된다. 또한 $45^{\circ}C$까지의 온도에서는 렉틴활성이 안정하였다. NIB 렉틴은 산성아미노산의 함량이 높았으나, 유황을 함유한 아미노산은 확인되지 않았다. A new lectin(NIB) was obtained from the Neptunea intersculpta through the following procedure; 0.15 M NaCl extraction, ($(NH_4)_2SO_4$ salt fractionation, DEAE-cellulose 52, hydroxyapatite and chromatofocusing column chromatography. The hemagglutinating activity of the lectin was stable by $45^{\circ}C$ and was inhibited by lactose, N-acetyl-D-galactosamine and D-galactose. It's isoelectric point was pH 3.8 and it was composed of three kinds of subunits; 68,000, 66,000 and 61,000 daltons. The lectin contained relatively high contents of acidic amino acids, but the amount of sulfur cotaining amino acids was not estimated.

Ibuprofen은 만성 관절류마티스, 신경통 및 급성만성 기관지염의 소염해열제로서 널리 사용되고 있으나, 물에 극히 난용성이다. 난용성 약물을 경구 투여할 겨웅에 대체로 소화관에서의 흡수속도는 그 약물의 용출 속도에 의존하게 된다는 사실이 알려짐으로서 근래에 난용성 약물의 용출성을 증대시키려는 한 방안으로 여러가지 가용화 방법에 관한 연구에 많은 관심을 기울이게 되었다. 저자등은 ibuprofen을 생체내 투여시 낮은 용해도로 인해 흡수속도가 지연될 뿐 아니라, 심한 위장장해를 일으키는 부작용이 있다는 사실에 착안하여, 그 용해도만 증가시킨다면 bioavai-lability 개선은 물론 부작용 경감도 기대할 수 있으리라 생각되어, 가용화 촉진제로서 생리적 계면활성제인 sodium deoxycholate를 사용하여 그 용해현상에 영향을 미치는 각종 요인에 대하여 검토한 결과를 보고하고저 하는 바이다. To improve the solubility properties of ibuprofen, a poorly water-soluble drug, some attempts were made sodium deoxycholate(SDC). The enhancement effect in solu-bility was thought to be due to the micellar solubilization and dependent on the concentration of solubilizer, pH and temperature. Furthermore, the presence of lecithin made the solubilizing potency of surfactant much stronger, with lowering the CMC. On the contrary, the mixed surfactant system reasonably decreased the solubilizing capacity of SDC toward the drug.

새로운 조각매물고둥렉틴인 NIC는 황화암모늄침전, 이온교환크로마토그래피 및 친화성크로마토그래피의 방법으로 분리, 정제되었다. 이는 전기영동상에서 한개의 주된 띠와 세개의 희미한 띠를 나타냈으며, specific activity는 82.16에서 85333.33 units/mg으로 증가되었다. Sephadex G-200 크로마토그래피와 SDS 전기영동결과, NIC는 분자량이 약 112,000으로 나타냈으며, 이는 분자량 약 14,000인 subunit의 octamer로 추정되었다. NIC는 2.5%의 당을 함유하는 당단백질이었으며, lactose, galactose 및 N-acetyl-D-galactosamine과 특이하게 결합하였다. 이의 아미노산조성은 산성아미노산의 함량이 많았으며, sulfur를 함유한 아마노산의 함량은 적었다. A molecular weight of NIC was calculated as 112,000 by Sephadex G-200 gel filtration and the subunit was determined as Mr 14,000 by sodium dodesyl sulfate polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis. Consequently, NIC is supposed to be an octamer composed of identical subunits of approximately Mr 14,000. NIC was a glycoprotein containing 2.5% of neutral sugar and had specificity for lactose, galactose and N-acetyl-D-galactosamine. NIC contained relatively high amounts of acidic amino acids, but the contents of sulfur containing amoino acids was very low.
