This paper describes risk management technologies for natural disaster of the present status of Korea and other advanced countries. In general, risk management technologies consist of three components; identify/assessment the risks, analyze the risks, and manage/mitigate the risks. For all different natural disasters (Typhoon, Flood, and Earthquake), detail steps and items of the risk management procedure are explained.

외부벽판과 연결부재를 구조요소로 취급한 경우 철골구조물의 내진성능에 관한 연구

본 연구는 일반 철골구조물에서 사용되는 구조용 프리캐스트 콘크리트 외부벽판과 연결부재로 인하여 건물 전체의 내진성능을 조사하였고, 벽판의 높이 변화에 따른 건물 전체의 횡방향 강성 변화량을 파악하였다. 외부벽판과 연결부재를 구조 부재로 간주할 경우 수동형 제진장치와 같이 지진에너지를 소산할 뿐 아니라 추가로 전체 건물의 횡방향 강성을 제공하는 것을 확인하였다. 이력거동 성능을 가진 연결부재를 비선형 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS를 이용하여 조사한 결과, 건물의 내진성능 향상에 연결부재가 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the seismic performance of both exterior precast concrete cladding panels and their connections on steel frame, when these cladding systems are considered as the structural components. The degrees of their participation of lateral stiffness to the main building are evaluated in terms of different heights of the cladding panels. Considering the cladding system as an integrated building provides additional lateral stiffness, as well as a mechanism for energy dissipation and this system can be used as one of an advanced passive seismic control system. Hysteresis behaviors of connectors are modeled and integrated into a nonlinear finite element analysis program, ABAQUS. The results show that connections play the most important role in structural cladding system and they improve seismic performance of overall building response.

Information of freight tracking and tracing is one of core elements in logistics point of view. We can monitor the vehicle or vessel where freights are loaded and get the in-transit data via GPS. However, security problem exists after the shipments are unloaded. RFID is well utilized for securing the container which products are stuffed into. International standard organization sets relevant specification and e-seal appears to be at issue. The paper investigates current status of corresponding technology and proposes the policy for development of logistics industry.

Current Guideline for Installation and Management of Sidewalks and Safety Facilities on Roadsj suggests that the types of curbs should be Bather curb (85˚). Although Barrier curbs (90˚) were not specified in the guideline. The curbs installed on the roads currently are Barrier curbs (90˚) which are not specified in the installation standard. Therefore, it is critical to prepare for the installation standard of curbs by researching types of curbs and hiving safety, This research have assessed the driving safety throughout Full Scale Crash Test according to type of curbs (Bather curbs (85˚) and Barrier curbs (90˚). Barrier curbs (90˚) showed higher figure in Theoretical head Impact Velocity, Post-impact Head Deceleration, Vehicle Damage when Crash, Passenger`s Wounds Severity, and every other items than Barrier curbs (85˚). Barrier curbs (85˚) were found to have better Occupant Safety Index. Analysis of Behavior Using Full-Scale Crash Test showed difference depending on the Impact Condition between Barrier curbs (85˚) and Barrier curbs (90˚), Generally, Barrier curbs (85˚) were superior than Barrier curbs (90˚) in terms of protecting the passengers and vehicle damages. When an impact angle increases, Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs, two types of curb showed similarity. However, if an impact of an angle decreases, Barrier Curbs (85˚) showed excellence in Driving Safety such as Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs.
비규격 비닐하우스 보험심사를 위한 설계강도 산출모형 개발

매년 태풍으로 인한 비닐하우스 피해가 보고되고 있으며, 농민들의 부담을 덜기위해 풍수해보험 제도를 시행하고 있다. 하지만 풍수해보험 가입 대상은 규격(내재해형) 비닐하우스로 한정되어 있으며, 설계강도를 추정하기 어려운 비규격 온실은 가입대상에서 제외되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 비규격 온실에 대한 풍수해보험 부보시 가입 심사기준 수립을 위해 비닐하우스의 주요제원을 이용하여 다중회귀분석을 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 도출된 회귀식으로부터 풍속에 대한 설계강도을 추정할 수 있는 모형을 개발하였다. 또한 모형의 검증을 위해 구조해석 결과와의 비교를 실시하였으며, 검증 결과 오차평균 1.7m/s로 풍수해 보험 부보시 보험사의 수용범위를 고려하여 적용 가능할 것으로 판단된다. Has been reported vinyl house damage caused by typhoons and heavy snow every year, it is to enforce the wind and flood insurance system in order to reduce the farmers of the burden from the damage that occurs to such a disaster. However, vinyl house type to be applied to the insurance is limited to Disaster-Resistant of vinyl house that has been presented to 「No.2014-78」 that has been notice by NAFRA (Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs). For this reason, in this study, to develop a simple estimation model of the design strength of the non-disaster-resistant of vinyl house for establishing underwriting standards during the wind and flood insurance coverage. Analyzing the specifications of the disaster-resistant of vinyl house, to develop estimation equation design wind speed, performing multiple regression analysis.

High-rise apartments of shear wall system are governed by flexural behavior like a cantilever beam. Installation of the damper-brace system in a structure governed by flexural behavior is not suitable. Because of relatively high lateral stiffness of the shear wall, a load is not concentrate on the brace and the brace cannot perform a role as a damping device. In this paper, a friction damper applying flexibility of shear wall is proposed in order to reduce the deformation of a structure. To evaluate performance of the proposed friction damper, nonlinear time history analysis is executed by SeismoStruct analysis program and MVLEM(multi vertical linear element model) be used for simulating flexural behavior of the shear wall. It is found that control performance of the proposed friction damper is superior to one of a coupled wall with rigid beam. In conclusion, this study verified that the optimal control performance of the proposed friction damper is equal to 45 % of the maximum shear force inducing in middle-floor beam with rigid beam.
