Recently, due to inappropriate food habits and the increased percentage of elderly people, the need for treatment of chronic diseases is increasing. Currently various different synthetic drugs are being used to treat above conditions. However, in certain cases synthetic drugs have given rise to unexpected side effects and have failed to wipe out the fundamental course of the disease completely. Therefore, the demand for natural drugs are increasing. Pharmacologically active compounds extracted from natural products can be more effective, cost effective for both the user and the manufacturer. Specially, usage of natural drugs can minimize the side effects compared to the synthetic, thereby solving one of the biggest disadvantages of synthetic drug usage. Therefore, various attempts have been made in developing natural drugs both local and international scale. In the global sector 10~25% of the company profit is allocated for Research and Development highlighting the importance of developing novel drugs. In comparison locally only 5% of profit goes for R&D which makes it difficult for the local researchers to compete with the international. However, production of natural drugs using the readily available plant resources in the land can be an effective way to catch up with the international market. As for now eight local natural drugs have been released to the market and by 2014 it has got a market value of 1,430 billion won. Currently, with increased interest on natural based drug research in the country, it is manipulated that the market value will increase further.
인공 위성 탑재 소프트웨어의 소프트 에러 고장 주입시험

Satellites operate in an orbital environment where radiation particles from the sun and deep space. When radiation particles hit a flight computer, it may induce an SEU(Single Event Upset) on the computer. An SEU is a non-destructive, transient soft error that flips a single bit of memory and registers on the processor. Flight computers should be fault-tolerant when this event occurs and detect and respond to them. During the development, flight software should be resilient against those soft errors. This paper reports the fault-injection testing result with NASA's cFS(Core Flight Software) flight software. Soft errors were injected into memory global variable area, stack area, and the processor registers as a previous testing study while executing cFS on a simulator of the flight computer. The test showed that soft errors might affect flight application behavior and the telecommand interface. The proposed soft error injection testing will contribute to the development of fault injection testing tools. 인공위성은 태양과 심우주에서 발생한 우주 방사선 환경인 지구 주위의 궤도에서 동작해야 한다. 우주방사선은 위성의 탑재 컴퓨터의 하드웨어에 SEU(Single Event Upset)라는 에러를 유발할 수 있다. SEU는 비 파괴성 오류로 일시적으로 메모리나 레지스터에 저장된 비트를 반전시키는 소프트 에러다. 인공위성 탑재 컴퓨터는 이러한 소프트 에러를 감내해야 한다. 위성의 탑재 컴퓨터는 소프트 에러가 발생하더라도 오동작을 하지 않도록 결함을 검출하고 대응할 수 있어야 하며, 개발과정에서 이러한 소프트 에러에 대해 오류를 검출하고 대응할 수 있는지를 검증해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 NASA의 표준 탑재 소프트웨어인 cFS(Core Flight Software)가 소프트 에러에 대해 강인한지 고장 주입시험을 시행한 결과를 정리하였다. 기존 테스팅 연구에서 적용한 것과 유사하게 소프트 에러를 메모리 전역 변수 영역, 스택 영역, 프로세서 레지스터에 주입하였으며, 탑재 컴퓨터 시뮬레이터에 cFS를 실행하면서 고장을 주입하였다. 고장 주입시험 결과 cFS에 소프트 에러 주입 시 탑재 소프트웨어의 주요 기능과 명령처리 기능에 문제가 생길 수 있는 것을 확인하였다. 이 시험결과를 통해 실제 위성의 탑재 소프트웨어에 다양한 소프트 에러 주입 방법을 시도하여, 향후 자동 고장 주입도구 구현에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

In this paper, stair walking of small power biped robot is implemented by load sharing method of walking gait and adding body. Generally, in one foot standing, load is burdened to especial joint. Further, robot's foot is long steps and is lifted up high to go up stairs. So, especial joint is sometimes overloaded during walking and this makes walking impossible. This problem is solved in this paper using adding body, load sharing method and kick action. By this ways, stair walking of small power biped robot can be implemented without overload to joint.

The aim of this study was to analyze the growth and phytochemical composition of Crepidiastrum denticulatum,a valuable medicinal plant, in response to various periods of irradiation and ratios of far-red (FR) LED light combinedwith red (R) and blue (B) LED lights. Three-week-old C. denticulatum seedlings were transplanted to a hydroponicsystem in a plant factory equipped with R, B, and FR LEDs. The ratio of R to B LEDs was set at 8:2 (R8B2), andthe ratio of R to FR LEDs was adjusted to 0.7, 1.2, 4.1, and 8.6. R8B2 (without FR LEDs) and commercial LEDswere used as control I and II, respectively. The plants were cultivated under these light treatments, and some of thecontrol plants were subjected to four different R/FR ratios for 30 min before the end of the light period (EOL). Wemeasured growth characteristics, total phenolic contents, and the levels of individual phenolic compounds (chlorogenicacid, caffeic acid, and chicoric acid) 6 weeks after treatment. Shoot fresh and dry weight, leaf area, leaf length, andleaf width under R/FR ratios of 0.7 and 1.2 were 1.8- to 2.4-times higher than those of the control plants. ContinuousR/FR 0.7 and 1.2 irradiation reduced the total phenolic content per dry weight compared to the control, although thiseffect was not significant. The total phenolic content per plant under R/FR 0.7 and 1.2 increased more than 2-fold, andthe shoot fresh weight increased 1.7- and 1.6-fold, compared to control I. Individual phenolic compound levels exhibitedthe same trends as total phenolic content. Under R/FR 0.7 and 1.2, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and chicoric acidlevels per shoot increased 1.3- to 1.8-fold compared to control I. FR EOL treatments did not have a significant effectson growth or the contents of bioactive compounds. These results suggest that supplemental irradiation with FR LEDscould be used to improve C. denticulatum growth and quality in terms of phytochemical composition when grown ina plant factory with artificial lighting.
Global Path Planning of Lunar Rover Under Static and Dynamic Constraints

This paper proposes a global path planning for lunar rovers in polar regions under static and dynamic constraints. Prior to lunar mission launch, a specific mission path must be set for a lunar rover. The mission path is generated under uncertain information. Only lunar digital elevation model (DEM) and secondary parameters derived from DEM are available. The parameters can be divided into two categories: static parameters and dynamic parameters. Parameters such as DEM, slope, and roughness can be categorized into static parameters. Illumination and thermal inertia can be categorized into dynamic constraints. This paper introduces such parameters as constraints for path planning, by either giving weight to each parameters or suggesting a threshold for a dead zone. A* path planning method is used to implement such parameters as constraints. Simulations of path planning are shown.

A low-dispersion fiber feed Littrow-mounted grating spectrometer for education was designed and fabricated. The dispersion element is a reflective type blazed grating Edmundoptics NT 46-075 (spatial frequency 600 lines/mm, dimension $30mm{\times}30mm$, blazed angle 8.6 degree). The optical fiber coupler module for optical guiding from telescope to spectrometer is composed of a multi-mode FC connector - FC connector optical fiber patch cord (core/cladding diameter $50{\mu}m/125{\mu}m$) and two 1.25" throw-tube couplers. The lens for collimating and imaging is a general purpose focal length 50 mm camera lens (f/1.8). The device for optical path control is a rectangular prism (size $25mm{\times}25mm$). The imaging camera sensor is a Meade DSI Pro 2 CCD sensor (black and white, $752{\times}582$ pixels and pixel size $8.3{\mu}m{\times}8.6{\mu}m$). Softwares for data logging and analysis consist of Meade Autostar Suite, NIH imagej and Vernier Logger Pro 3. The wavelength coverage range of the spectrometer is 205 nm at central wavelength 550 nm. The wavelength resolution is 1.7 nm.

Infection occurs very rarely in the sternoclavicular joint compared to other joints in the body. It occurs mainly in IV drug abusers, diabetics, chronic renal failure patients, septic patients and those with central vein catheters. In the early phase, it can be treated simply by antibiotics or incision, and drainage. However, when proper treatment is not begun early, bone destruction can occur, and only en-bloc resection of the involved bone can cure it. To reduce the risk of recurrence, we advanced a pectoralis major flap into the resected area based on the feeding artery. We report a case of a patient with sternoclavicular osteomyelitis who was successfully treated using en-bloc resection and a pectoral advancement flap.

Synovial sarcoma is a malignant soft tissue tumor that primarily occurs in the praarticular regions, especially in the knee. They are composed of keratin-positive epithelial cells and vimentin-positive spindle cells. We report a 76 year old woman with a primary synovial sarcoma in the mediastinum that had severe adhesion to the right side of pericardium. Primary synovial in the midiastinum is extremely rare and this is the first case reported in the Korean literature. The mass including the pericardium was resected and the defect was closed with Gore-Tex patch. The patient is well and free of disease 6 months after the operation.
이케아(IKEA)의 한국시장 진출에 따른 전략적 대응방안 연구 : 가정용 수납가구디자인을 중심으로

비즈니스위크지는 전 세계 소비자들이 이케아(IKEA)에 열광하는 것은 가구가 아니라 ‘라이프스타일’을 파는 이케아의 전략이 적중한 것이라고 분석한 바 있다. 1998년 중국을 거처 지난해 일본에 상륙한 스칸디나비아식 라이프스타일 이케아는 고객의 취향을 반영한 다양한 디자인과 쇼핑의 편의성으로 소비자들의 발길이 끊이지 않고 있다. 이에 일본 내수가구산업은 적지 않은 타격을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 일본의 경우를 미루어 향후 이케아가 한국에 진출한다면 그에 따른 국내가구산업의 전략적 대응방안 연구는 매우 시급하다고 판단된다. 그러나 안타깝게도, 대부분의 영세한 국내 가구업체들은 소비자의 다양한 구매 심리와는 달리 여전히 획일적인 디자인과 규격, 그리고 조잡한 품질로 현대 가구소비자의 다양한 욕구에 미치지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 국내 가구산업의 문제점을 파악하고 이케아 진출 후에 다가올 여러 상황들을 문헌 조사와 소비자 설문을 통해 예측하였다. 또한 국내가구와 이케아가구의 대표적 수납가구 이미지를 선정, 디자인 전문가집단의 실험을 통해 새로운 한국형가구 개발을 위한 차별화 위치를 시각화하였으며 최종적으로 지금까지 연구내용을 종합하여 향후 이케아의 한국진출에 대응할 수 있는 전략적 방법을 다음과 같이 도출하였다. 첫째, 국가적 차원에서 좋은 아이템을 선별하여 경제적 지원을 확대하여야 한다. 둘째, 국내 소비자에게 인정받는 탄탄한 가구브랜드 개발이 꼭 필요하다. 셋째, 합리적인 대체 재료 사용과 한국형 다용도 가구디자인 개발되어야 한다. 넷째, 소비자의 다양한 요구에 대처할 수 있도록 새로운 마케팅 방법과 유기적 판매시스템을 갖추어야 한다. 본 연구는 향후 이케아의 국내시장 진출 시 우리나라 가구기업의 피해를 최소화하고 경쟁력 있는 포지션을 선점하기위한 방향을 구체적으로 제안 하였으며 연구를 종합하여 도출된 4가지의 결론은 국내 가구기업의 발전 방향에 꼭 필요한 가이드라인 역할을 할 것이다.
