This paper deals with the position control of an AC servo motor using linear hall-effect sensors. The price of these is very low, but it is possible to make a position control of motor similar to a control using an encoder. This paper introduces the design of motor using linear hall-effect sensor and shows the results of control.

In this paper, the simple analog MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm is proposed for the solar array of KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite). This method doesn't need any calculation of power by multiplication of voltage and current and a measurement of the solar array temperature. It is consist of only two sample and hold circuits, two comparators, a flip-flop, and an integrator. The proposed MPPT algorithm is verified by the simulation for the 100[W] solar array.

인공위성의 전장품들은 전장품의 특성에 적합한 전력 형태를 요구하고, 전력계에서는 이러한 다양한 전력 분배 요구에 따라 전력을 공급해야한다. 또한, 전장품의 오동작이 타 전장품에 영향을 미치지 못하도록 차단하는 안전장치를 기본적으로 갖추어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 인공위성의 전장품들이 요구하는 전력 분배 방식을 구분하고, 이에 적합한 안전장치를 갖는 분배 모듈의 설계에 관해 기술한다.

This paper deals with the development of the PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor) system for the electrical actuator. For the high control performance and reliability of PMSM, accurate information of rotor position is essential. Most of PMSM for the position control use the encoder or resolver for the information of rotor position. But these are very expensive.<br/> So, in this paper, using of the magnetic and linear hall-effect sensor is proposed. It can reduce the cost of motor systems and get the good performance of PMSM control
하드디스크 드라이브의 슬라이더 구동정지 기간 및 검색조건 변화에 따른 입자 발생 경향

Particles existing in a hard disk drive are known as a major source of TA(thermal asperity). Researchers have investigated how particles induce the TA phenomena, but have not verified yet the reason why and how particles are generated in a HDD. The objective of this study is to investigate why and how particles are generated, and in what condition, the largest number of particles is generated. The number of particles generated in a HDD was measured over the landing zone after various rest times of slider and during various motions and positions of slider. It is found that the large number of particles was generated when the HDD was turned on after a long rest time of slider and that a few of particles were continuously generated when the slider flied over the disk surface. It is thought that the number of particles generated in a HDD was related to the rest time of slider because the rest time of slider increased stiction, and that there were intermittent contacts between the slider and the disk surface when the slider flied over the disk surface.
