A Biodegradability test of Leachate was performed and results of the research are as follows ; 1. The Satisfactory removal efficiencies were impossible in treatment of sample L-1 (leachate only), BOD removal efficiencies with 5.9-11.8 HRTwere 62-69% in sample S-1 and BOD removal efficiencies with 6.2-12.3 HRT were 71-76 % in sample S-2. 2. Metabolism Factor(K_(m)) was calculated to be 0.3/hr in sample L-1, 0.8/hr in sample S-1 and 1.4/hr in sample S-2. 3. Oxygen Requirement of about 1.6-1.7kg O₂/kg BOD_(rm), was required in sample S -1 and that of 1.3-1.4kg O₂/kg·BOD_(rm), was required in sample S-2. 4. Sludge production of Sample S-1 was 0.37-0.51 and that of Sample S-2 was 0.41-0.57kg VSS/kg BOD_(rm).

1. In biological treatment with AB-Process At A-step : as treatment condition operated HRT about 4hr and F/M ration below 5㎏BOD/㎏MLSS·d obtained removal efficiency of COD, BOD are respectively 30-40%, 15-25%. At B-step : as treatment condition operated HRT about 30hr and F/M ratio below 0.2㎏ BOD/㎏ MLSS·d obtained removal efficiency of COD. BOD are respectively 75-82%, above 91%. On the other hand, statistical overview of correlationship both unstable nondegradable pollutant removal efficiency in B-step and treatment of A-step, it found that excessive removal of BOD in-A-step bring about low loading in B-step caused a bad influence in stabilizing treatment. 2. The defect of AB-process are wanting actual domestic and difficult of A-step management but resistent in loading change, high loading and nonbiodegradable wastewater. And total capacity and electric cost could be reduced respectively about 50%, 40%, when these were campared wit conventional activated sludge system.
양돈폐수 병합처리를 통한 처리수의 재이용에 관한 연구(Ⅰ)

The object of this study was to find the optium operating conditions for the combined(anaerobic+soil filter) treatment of piggery wastewater. For this purpose, laboratory scale packed bed and fluidized bed reactor were operated under various conditions. The results of piggery wastewater treatment are summarized as follows ; 1) The COD removal efficiency of parked bed reactor was 84%-58% in COD loading rate(0.5-6.0㎏ COD/㎥.day) and optium packed volume ratio was about 60% 2) The COD removal efficiency of fluidized bed reactor was 70% in high COD loading rate(8-10㎏ COD/㎥.day) and optium packed recycle ratio was about 8-10. 3) As the organic loading rate increased, the alkalinity were 3,400-3,650㎎/l, 3,400-3,940㎎/l and total volatile acid were 224-402㎎/l, 140-386㎎/1(as CaCO₃) in the reactor. 4) The CH₄ gas production in the packed bed and fluidized bed reactor were 0.5-3.331/day, 0.6-6.79 l/day on HRT(10-0.8days, 10-0.5days). 5) As the hydraulic loading rate of soil filter were increased, the variation of COD removal effeciencies were between 95% and 82% then the effluent of COD concentration were 95-215㎎/l.

The Purpose of this article is to suggest for water quality improvement in Korea. In order to preseve from water pollution, the synthesized plan is required urgently. It is that short-term, middle-term, long-term of measure to counter water quality management.
